How to unlock the Flight School achievement in Lemnis Gate - Definitive Guide
EDIT: 6/26/2023 - Nest isn't required for the drone time trials!
Thanks to @Giincee

To start this achievement, you want to hit "Training" on the main menu, then down below where it says "Visit World", will show all the maps available. Each map has a drone time trial symbol (an empty stopwatch) and I think its fair to say that, at first, it's a bit challenging. In order to unlock the achievement, you just need to beat every Time Trial Challenge for each map (13 maps total), after your 13th challenge completed, the achievement will pop!
Select any map, these don't have to be in order as they are tracked by the symbol of the drone time trial, with a filled in stopwatch being a completed trial. You can also reference your time placements against the Time Trial Challenge requirement.
For example, I chose the first map Caldera. When the game starts, you want to hit to transfer over to your drone. The main controls are:
- moves drone forward, backward, left, and right
- moves your pov directionally
- Boost
- descends drone
- ascends drone
Flying the drone is a bit strange, but I realized that you don't really need to use the trigger controls a majority of the time for your drone unless its a dramatic movement. If you look up with and move with your forward, you will naturally ascend - which is MUCH less clunky then having to deal with the triggers on top of flying the drone. All you need to do is lightly tap to get enough to ascend/descend and that's it.
Race Start
When you first pick a map and switch to your Drone pov, usually in front or beside you, you'll see a spinning ring with an Arrow pointing. As soon as you fly through that first ring, the timer starts and you'll quickly have to fly through each ring, following the arrows.
The rings will slightly ascend/descend, sometimes having you fly in a spiral or suddenly turn. My suggestion is taking it slow, learn where the rings are and start memorizing the path you need to take. The time trials give hardly any room for failure, if you bump into something and get stuck, get lost, or simply don't boost a majority of the time - you will most likely not beat the challenge time.
I noticed my first two maps were a bit of a struggle getting used to the controls, but once I understood how to fly it mostly without triggers, I began beating each time challenge within the first few tries. Overall, can be a frustrating achievement because you have to be fast, precise, and decent at remembering where the next ring is. Practice and memorization are key.

Everyone: It isn't that bad, did a few on my first try and most of them took me like 5 tries tops. Go for it!

@Giincee thanks! Totally should have included that you don't have to do Nest. It was just an overall guide on how to do controls. like @a holy chainsaw mentioned, a lot you can knock out on your first try without practice. It felt clunky when I played it awhile ago. You've got this everyone!
