How to unlock the Card Expert achievement in Lies Of Astaroth - Definitive Guide

With the latest update, this is now achievable (6-27-2017).

MAJOR CAVEAT: Not all 400 are available right now. A large number of cards are moving in and out of circulation, so 400 will likely not be available all at once for a long time, if ever. In any case, it's best to work toward new cards whenever possible.

Also, per Mr Rodster, "For the three of us that have popped this, it came at 397. Math is hard for FingerTactic, so they must have just rounded up. I leave to you whether you want to mention that 397 is the actual mark or not."

The best ways to earn cards are to level up, move through the campaign and attack towers.

In the campaign, you can win specific cards for beating particular levels with certain conditions, such as playing with no runes, or with a certain number of cards from a particular type (Kingdom, Hell, Forest, Wilderness). You can also win scraps of cards by exploring certain levels after completing all stars on a map.

The walkthrough lists all of the card you can win through normal campaign play. I've found it helpful to list all of the cards and scraps by location, in order to find out which cards I will earn through normal campaign progression, so that I don't waste universal scraps composing a card for my collection that I won't really need.

Below, in the spoiler, is the list of all 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star cards available through the campaign, in alphabetical order. This is so that if you're looking for a particular card, you can find it more easily. 1-star and 2-stars drop easily as you progress, so you should easily earn all of these except for special event cards.

Quite a few cards can be found in towers, especially the Mystery Tower, which drops no less than a 3-star card at every drop, making it a good place to try to win the rarer cards.

The Mystery Tower only opens once you have opened the Sky Tower in the 8th world. Then you are given the opportunity (under Mission) to clear all 7 towers again. Once you do this, the Mystery Tower is open for TWO HOURS after the 7th tower is cleared. Towers may be cleared once per day, so generally you will be able to access the Mystery Tower only once a day. Note that in order to clear the towers, you will need at least two full charges unless you choose to buy energy (not recommended).

Dungeons also help you earn cards when you can reach the later levels, but these are usually scraps to build cards.

Events also give you the opportunity to win new cards, but these are harder to earn for free.

In short, there are just over 400 cards, so you have to have a high enough level to clear the Mystery Tower on a regular basis, and also be very lucky. Those who complete this in the very near future will have incredibly high levels, although over time (unless new achievements are added, which may very well happen) you should be able to earn cards more easily as new cards are added.

This will take a lot of dedication over a very long period of time. Build strong decks, level up for more HP, and keep attacking the towers. Best of luck!

Hope this helps!

remember to add that 100-150 of the cards are not currently available. And a lot of them have only been available through timed events that may or may not be repeated at some point.

Question: do cards marked "[level] 2nd condition - Explore" mean you have to explore when you have fulfilled the 2nd condition? And what happens if you 3-star a map that says "2nd condition - Explore"? Do you lose the chance to get those scraps when exploring?

I should probably clarify that. Once you complete at least the 2nd objective, exploring can give you scraps of that card. If you complete the 3rd condition, it's the same. You don't lose the ability to find scraps. It's just that you have to meet at least the 2nd condition.

Worryingly, mine popped at 401, 3rd April 2019.

However, most of my last few cards were all from the very start of a card collection event, so might not have been added to the database totally at that point.

Well just figured something out, composing cards from scraps didn't seem to make my counter go up, even though I've was stuck at 99% after I had composed a number of cards from scraps that I know absolutely that I didn't have. Achievement tracker don't go up. So I quit out of the game and restarted. Sure enough Achievement unlocked...so just an observation for that.

Mine popped at 396, but more importantly, I'm finally done with that crap :p

I guess it was even worse a few years ago, there are more than 600 cards now, and the events seem to last longer (usually one week) than before. Still a grind though

I just got 200k crystals for a Christmas event, it might be worth playing the game during these events in the hopes of getting tons of crystals to buy cards. After spending 50k I got 10 new cards. Hoping while going for getting cards with scraps will boost me to the 400 mark

It took me about 4 months login in every day to get my last 100 cards. Also my achievement popped at 397 instead of 400. Hang in there guys and girls, you can do it!
I also thought I'd never get it done. XD

This achievement takes a lot of time to earn. You earn cards beating the levels, purchases through the shop, monthly card giveaway, tower, dungeon and events. There are currently over 600 cards that can be earned.

If you're just starting the game out, just focus on beating all the levels you can and upgrading 4* and 5* cards to help you progress farther in the game.

Build up your coins, gems and tickets. Don't use them except for the coins to upgrade your cards to help you get farther on the boards so you're able to earn more coins and cards.

TIP: After beating a board, you can use X to explore the board earning you coins using up your energy. If you're not using energy in the tower to find Turkey's to upgrade your cards (This event is the 10-20th each month), then use it on the highest board you've beat to earn more coins.

When you have at least 100k in coins, 1000 gems and at least 100 tickets, you should have enough to start looking at doing the events as this is where you are going to earn most of the cards you won't find anywhere else in the game.

One of the events each month requires you to use coins, gems and tickets to find cards. You will use those cards to unlock another card. Having never done an event, you will earn between 5-9 new cards during these events. It is a random draw from the shop on each purchase and you have to purchase the different options (coins, gems, tickets) in there to earn the cards. Which is why you need to have earned enough or you could go without getting all the cards you need to create the cards from finding these cards.

I will add that you will earn new cards just from the purchases you do for this event finding cards. They change up the cards you can get from the time limit packs so will find new cards this way.

Another event requires you to beat a raid boss where you earn points. The raid boss takes the place of the thief when you use explore on a level. You will beat the raid boss multiple times as it pops up continuously exploring. You then go and collect more points under the mission to earn more points. Those points go towards an awards section that the more points you earn the more rewards you earn. There are always new cards in here that you won't have. You will need to spend time during these events to play as much as possible or you won't make it to the end to earn the last card.

If you login everyday during the month, you will earn the free card of the month. It's normally one you don't have. You can miss a few days and still earn the card.

After you have progressed very far in the game and you start unlocking the torment modes, pay attention when you're beating these boards. Some of the levels will have cards attached to them that you can earn for exploring on them. You can explore these until you get enough cards to unlock them from the scraps earned. If you have 3 starred every level under a board, you will see you can earn another card on the bottom right of the screen. This is random like the other card and you will get some from exploring. You will be able to earn a quite few cards from these scraps that you won't have.

Play the dungeon everyday as far as you can go. There are chests (with requirements to unlock) in the dungeon that will give you scraps to build more cards.

You will earn a few new cards from scraps so always try to earn scraps on any new card you can. The higher in the dungeon you get, the better the card scraps you'll earn from the chests.

My achievement popped when I hit 397 cards.

Just wanted to mention I believe there is a typo in your 2nd sentence. As I write this there are currently 682 cards available and I've been playing for quite a while and I'm sure there have never been 800 cards in the Album.

Great detailed guide. I'm about 50 cards off at level 91. I neglected a lot of the stuff you mention which is setting me back :(
