Currently unless fixed the only way to obtain this achievement is by using Crystals or Magic Tickets and get lucky enough to find one. Want a guess on how lucky? I have been playing since 2 days after release and have only obtained 1 five-star card with a ticket. I have also spent $0 doing so which you can get tickets and diamonds by logging in daily and participating iN events. Below is other ways of getting 5 star cards which does not unlock the achievements currently.

You need to obtain a 5 star card which is quite difficult. I have obtained 2 and have played since 2 days after release.

Memoriesof Final has created a thread for where to find 5 star cards and which ones, this is not finished or has everything in it but will be updated when people contribute.

Also statistics are unknown but if anyone gets these statistics please comment or PM them to me so I can update this solution.

The Devs did say the more you do in a day the higher chances are of getting something so save your diamonds and tickets and use them in bulk on the same day. They will most likely become useful for future events as a special pack came put for 2 days that had a higher chance of obtaining two 5 star cards.

Log in daily to get daily log-in rewards like Crystals, and Magic Tickets. Both of these currencies can be used to buy packs in the Store area on the main menu having a chance to get a 5 star card.

You can also do events to earn Crystals and Magic Tickets by events and playing the game which are always changing so I can't exactly put them in this solution.

Once patched, it will hopefully unlock retroactively. Doing towers daily you can have a chance at getting a 5 star card, I found a 5 star in the shadow tower. I have also heard the more times you reset a tower in a day the higher chance of getting better cards. If you are going to use diamonds to keep resetting a tower you should do the Sky Tower (the last tower currently available).

If you get tired of playing this game all the time you can always jump on 2-3 times a day and take 5 minutes each time to run through towers which you can reset everyday.

Edit: December 2016:

Due to being so long it is believed the developers are either choosing not to fix this and most of the achievement requirements (like logging in consecutively) and obtaining 5 star cards (also believe the 100, 200, and 300 card achievements are based on what you get out of packs) due to the amount of time that has passed without anything changing. The dev's say they are trying to fix it but there is no sign of effort other than their word and I would imagine having the achievements only unlock with currency (luckily earned in the game) would only benefit them (people paying for an achievement). So all in all I wouldn't wait this out to be fixed because it just might not happen, luckily below is a sure-fire method of getting the achievement now.

IT seems as though the Dev's have added a pity system in the store so if you want to get this achievement you merely have to save enough crystals for around 10-12 packs. Basically the more packs you buy the higher chance a 5-star card comes out, if you obtain a 5-star card the counter does reset. If you choose not to play this anymore just log in to get the rewards because that's were the most amount of crystals are obtained.

I think the tower stuff weren't the focus of this update, it was mostly them trying to get the screen/audio stuff asap. login/map were hot fixed. or.. at least somewhat

They probably have to code the tower stuff though, so that'll probably be the next update. If you have any doubts, feel free to send them a message, they answer fairly quickly.

Fair warning, i am struggling alot in stage 8 so i decided spend $20 on crystals to get time travelar card and thought i would atleast get one 5 star card from the 11 crystal packs i opened. I got 0 and so i complained to them. They told me they have same rare card drop rates as magic the gathering ( i spent $10 on that game and got 2 planeswalker) and heartstone(i never played) . They suggested i buy MORE crsytals and try again. I dont think they understand how pay to wins work.

Archangel...im not sure you know how random works....sounds like you have been unlucky here, and extremely lucky in magic...
One thing to notice regarding droprates in magic and here....magic have a max amount of specific cards you can own, so even if you are extemely unlucky, at some point you will have all common cards, and the game can only award you rares...in this game though, you can theoretically spend a billion crystals, and never get more than 3 star cards

I am also at stage 8-1. TheMaize ... lets look at a couple of FACTS. Everyone today got awarded enough crystals for 2 crystal packs and several magic tickets. Everyone gets crystals by leveling up cards (oil strike event) and just logging in everyday yet 52 tracked gamers out of 4,036 have gotten a 5 star card . People have complained getting a 5 star from a tower or thief has not popped the achievement. NOONE has complained about packs/tickets not registering the achievement. I also have several friends who play and none of them have gotten one either through pack/ticket clearly meaning this game "random" is something silly like maybe youhave a 1/100 chance. I thought i would be nice and share to people its probably not in there best interest to try to buy this achievement but go ahead and tell people everyone is just unlucky and we don't know how random works.

Sorry Archangel thats shit... I myself just opened 23 of their new packs that were 50 diamonds each and supposedly had an even higher 5 star drop rate and didn't even get a single 4 star. The game can be a bitch when it comes to luck..

The current event (which is currently not active cause of some sorta server problem?) is bullshit indeed, everyone I've talked to has been burned by it. I held off on it, and I'm glad I did. I did get a Kirin from a tower earlier and an Astrea from a thief a few days ago but no achievement from either, really hope they fix this shit soon...

For the games like Lies of Astaroth, such as Heart Stone, Magic Duels, games like this have the same setting for odds of advanced cards. In Lies of Astaroth game, we also have the odds settings for our rare 5-Star cards.

As for the low 5-Star dropping rate, I have just confirmed with our game designers and they told us that the settings have not been changed, we have the same odds with other version of the game, which means we keep the same dropping rate since the day one for card packs. At first, everybody’s dropping rate is the same. But our system will calculate the crystals you spend in total, and to see if you are eligible to be enrolled with higher dropping rate. Everything is automatically calculated to prevent users from getting nothing. We also feel sad when you are coming to us you didn’t get the card. We hope once you understand how the odds works, you can make fully useful of the crystals in future.

Beside this event, we are going to carry out more events that does not require crystals in the up -coming weeks. Meanwhile, you can also get 5-Star cards by exploring Maze, defeating thieves and through Magic Tickets. We have also seen hundreds of gamers got 5-Star cards though these methods and they did work really hard in the game.

Thats how i usually feel xONLY INHUMANx. Alot of the free games if i like it i will give $10 to speed up achievements or enjoy the game more. ( airmech , smite , battle island , magic the gathering, happy wars) . This game was the first one that gave me nothing. When i spent $20 on crystal packs i thought i would get 2-3 5 star cards and have a chance to 3 star stages 8-9. When i got nothing i was furious and mailed them. When the special packs cameout i knew i would probably get nothing but i wanted to know for sure so i bought $30 worth of crystals for the special packs that have the "higher" chance. 60+ packs and no 5 star. This time i am more dissapointed in myself to fund thieves. Even in the title of the game they tell us they lie.

Has a new fix for this be announced? I have managed to obtain six 5 star cards this week & the achievement still refuses to pop, I could also say the same for my Daily Login VI which also refuses to unlock. There's also absolutely nothing wrong with this solution, just terrible coding on the developers behalf.

it's extremely cheap for them to offer a shitty 5 star card for $40 though and not just that i finished it all on 3 stars now and there's nothing to do but grind out the sky tower once a day and just explore the world 10-11-3 and i and many others don't need cards. They have much more content coming out but Microsoft denied theit attempt that's supposed to be up right now which had PVP (the most replay value possible). Hopefully they get it up soon.... Im dying for more content and I am praying more achievements becauseriously with the amount of grind already in the game more achievements would only be a good thing.

A trade system would be nice but that would allow the ability to sell the cards and basically make a cap swap for a 5 star card ect. And also make other people maybe even 3rd partY companies farm the game. If they are smart they will not add a trading system unless they can monitor it somehow.

Well it would be good if you could trade with people off your friends list. If your stupid enough to buy it off someone it's your own fault...farming cards in this game is really hard to get good 4star cards let alone 5star....and to get to the sky city you have to play it for a bit so farming i wouldn't really see it being a problem

You would be surprised, if you can trade cards that means you just make a deck that can get to the Sky Tower and trade it to each account that will farm. It doesn't take long to log in and do the Sky Tower since you can skip every battlevel and since theY are difficult to get makes them even more valuable and sellable.

yes but you have to remember it cost 100gems to reset the towers and it will go up by 4 each time so in the end so you will only get a chance to do it once a day and i would like to see a trade option with friends because at this moment it's just a pointless grind some people can get cards i can't get and i can get some cards what others can't. Either way if people want to farm away to try and make money go a head but i don't think this game is popular enough for people to spend real money on cards unless your trying to 100% and want to do it the stupid way.

Started getting these from Crystal Packs regularly. Not sure if it matters, but I was hording diamonds. I had over 2,000 before I started redeeming. All of a sudden, 5* were showing up. Not sure if its coincidence or not.

4 and 5 star achs unlock from normal campaign progression, just keep 3 starring every level working through the maps until you get them. Thief/tower don't count, but the game throws xtals and tickets at you in the daily logins and events, so you can eventually get this just from logging in daily, if you don't want to play through the campaign.
