How to unlock the King of Dungeon IV achievement in Lies Of Astaroth - Definitive Guide
This achievement is unlocked for defeating Floor 89 and reaching Floor 90 of the dungeon.
If you are viewing this I will assume you have already unlocked King of Dungeon 3 for reaching floor 80.
=The March/2018 update has been a massive help. The update has reduced the cost of upgrading your cards. E.G It used cost 28k to upgrade a 5*card from level 14-15, now it costs just 18k to upgrade from level 18-19. This enables you to possess a much greater range of high level cards rather than using the same old ones. I highly recommend taking advantage of this. Many of the cards base values have been massively overhauled eg a level 15 Archbishop used to have an attack of 400, it now has an attack of 1250 but the health has been reduced slightly.=
i recommend being around level 90. I was level 91 and gave me 171 points to build a deck. The floors from 86-89 gave me real problems. Fight each floor manually once so you know what deck you are facing then customise your deck for each floor. You dont have to finish the battle but knowing what cards you are facing is essential. Once you have created the best deck you can for that floor, and you believe you could win with it, just spam the auto-battle button. The law of averages means you will eventually win, but again you must have an effective deck. Its pointless spamming if you don't think your deck is good enough.
The floors from 80-90 are a different level of hard. For a start the Opponent heroes health is ridiculously high, between 30-40k. On top of that the health of the cards is much higher, e.g my level 18 Ares has 1920hp while the Computers level 15 Ares is over 3000 health their cards also have a much higher attack.
Here are some tips:
1, Level your hero up as much as possible, you need as much health as possible but more importantly you need more points to build a deck with. Most of the opponents cards have attack values of 1500-2k so having enough health to absorb those attacks is a must.
2,Familiarise yourself with the new stats, you should find 4* cards have been massively improved. The greater the range of cards you have the easier it is to build an effective deck. You'll want all of your cards to be level 15+, mine were 18-19. Use Shuffle, the stronger you can make your existing deck the better. You'll find its not until shuffle 3 or 4 that you start getting awesome abilities.
3, Runes - In my opinion are just as important as your cards, they really can change the battle. Arctic Freeze, red Valley, Frost Bite, Lava armour and Dirt are essential. Level them to max. They should also be changed to suit each battle and maximise their potential.
4,Play each floor once, learn what deck the opponent has, then build a custom deck to counter that floor. Eg if they have multiple cards with Iceshield build a deck with Infaltrator cards.
5, Now Spam - Once you have built a custom deck that you know counters the opponent, spam the auto-battle and don't give up. Provided you have the right cards you are bound to win eventually. eg I must of spammed Auto-battle on floor 89 at least 30 times, but I didn't want to give up as I was so close. obviously don't waster your time if you know you havent got the rights cards as you'll never win.
6, If spam wont work then take control yourself, if you get thrashed then it likely auto-battle wont work either
Cards i mainly used - My deck mainly consists of a mix of Wilderness and Kingdom. Feathered Serpent my best card. Other cards I recommend are, Archmage, Archbishop, Admiral, Horn General, Toxic Harrier, Ares, Magical Puppeteer (essential), Battle Termminator, Templar Archon, Red fox, Shadow of Rainbow, Armoured Faun. I would recommend getting Archmage/Bishop to level 20. Also having 2 Archmages helps. These are pretty common cards so it makes shuffling easier. Magical Puppeteer hasHoly Flame which removes defeated cards so they cant be reanimated, this becomes really important. Also cards with.
Rage this is essentially your last chance saloon, if after multiple attempts you can't get past a certain floor use your rage wisely and purchase a suitable card. Make sure you adjust your deck. I was able to to clear floor 88 by purchasing a card which increased Wilderness HP by 50%.
This achievement requires you to have been grinding in the game a long time. The recent update makes building a superior deck much cheaper which in turn makes getting this achievement easier than it was, but you will still need to be level 90ish. If you can;t get it yet it will just take a little more grinding, I thought if I had one more point for building a deck I would have got this much easier.
