How to unlock the Safecracker of Dungeon III achievement in Lies Of Astaroth - Definitive Guide
1000 chests. It's a lot to get. To give a decent time reference, it took about 1.5 months for people to begin to unlock this achievement. These are people who have been playing since day one and were able to reach Floor 50 minimum from the release of the update.
Every set of 10 floors has 3 chests (Floors 5, 8, and 10). Chests have special requirements to open them. Some of them include:
- Specific type/element of Rune
- No Runes
- Maximum Deck Cost
- Specified quantity of a Race of Card (i.e. At least 4 Forest Cards in the Deck or At least 2 from each race)
- Finish Fight in 'X' Rounds
- Finish Fight with HP greater than 'Y' percent
Pretty much the requirements for stars in the campaign are requirements to unlock/open the chests. Some of these aren't terrible to hit, but others will become ridiculous the further in you get. For example, many people completely disregard the use of Hell cards and low cost deck requirements at high floors since they are much more difficult to try and meet at all.
You can continue to replay the fights until you meet the conditions so if you fail, there is no worry. Based on some math, here are some averages for people so far:
45 Days and 1000 Chests = 22.22 Chests a Day
60 Days and 1000 Chests = 16.67 Chests a Day
This means that to finish this achievement in roughly 2 months, you would need to hit Floor 50 (and slightly further) each day and get every chest. This sounds difficult, but it's not horribly difficult. It's just going to take time.
An additional item to consider is that even if you start at a higher floor (i.e. you reached Floor 51 so you start at 21 the next day), you will unlock all the chests up to that point.

I can absolutely confirm that if you have completed level 100 of the dungeon and you start at floor 71, those chests do not count torwards the achievement. I went from 90% yesterday to 93% today after I cleared 71-100

Odd. That might be a change. I haven't gone back to the game in a very long time honestly. All the changes and the increase in pay to win turned me off from going back. Thanks for the input.
