Cloud Save Method (Console/Game Pass) At the very bottom! Get 2 out of 3 endings in 1 playthrough! Read through the guide carefully and have a look at the comments for the best insight! I can not provide any assistance if it does not work.

Important Note from WhyattThrash - The game does perform periodic cloud uploads without user interaction. The safest way to go for the achievements are to 1) try offline or 2) go about it real fast if offline doesn’t work, but be aware that might lead to the game uploading a save on its own and there’s not much to be done about it.

After beating the "final" boss Simon Manus in Chapter 11, you will meet with Geppetto. He wants you to give him your heart, and you have two choices, "refuse" or "Give the Heart". To get this ending you must give Geppetto your heart. Your choices of telling the truth or lies throughout the game do not matter for this ending, and will only take effect if you refuse to give your heart.

Don't go into New Game+ after the credits. Doing this ending will also give you an additional achievement! Don't restart your game to return to Hotel Krat, and read the note at Geppetto's desk.

Additionally, if you're on your Lie/Humanity playthrough -

Cloud Save Method (Console only) - By doing this method you can get 2 endings in 1 playthrough! You can get "Real Boy" by giving Geppetto your heart, AND either "Rise of P" or "Free of the Puppet Strings" by refusing depending on your truth and lie choices throughout the game.

Offline tip by chris8079 - For anyone who doesn't wanna risk messing up, you can just make sure you save uploads and then go offline before getting this achievement. Afterwards, just delete your save and go back online to sync it back up before fighting the nameless puppet.

Cloud Save Method used by Gotham Rises -

MAKE SURE YOUR GAME IS RUNNING after you get your final achievement for whatever you're doing > hit Xbox button > hover Lies of P > Menu button > Manage game > Saved data > Click your gamertag > Delete from console > Resume Lies of P. You should then be forced to load the game back to the main menu, just hit continue, and you should be back at wherever you made your cloud save. Literally just worked for me. If you've played a From Software game, you've done this before..

Cloud Save Method used by FrankCastle492 -

Sit at the Stargazer before speaking to Geppetto.
-Quit your game (On the dashboard) so your save uploads to the cloud.
-Start the game up again, and give him your heart, then after the credits you can get the letter from his study to complete his story.
-After that stand still and press the guide button, highlight the game and press start, go to manage add-ons, go to saved data, and delete your save from the console only this will force close the game.
-When you load up the game, it will download your cloud save, and you'll be back at the Stargazer before Geppetto and can do one of the other two endings.

Cloud Save Method used by MiNDmaZing -

Sat at the stargazer, Exit the game for a cloud save
loaded up, refused heart -> beat nameless pupped, trade ergo for weapon
listened to 1 song fully to get full humanity -> read the letter on table ->
took golden lie from the picture

Afterwards i deleted the profile from console and the game forced a quit. cloud save downloaded and i could give heart -> read letter from table and played the piano

@FrankCastle492 - Unfortunately not, only 1 ending per play-through. However, I have read that people on Steam and PlayStation were able to make a cloud/backup save before the boss to get the other ending. It could be possible on Xbox/PC/Game pass, but I'm not sure/have not seen it done for Xbox.

Cloud save method did not work.. 👎 Followed it exactly but the game saves when you pick up and read the letter from his desk and puts you back there when you reload. Now I wasted my chance to fight the nameless puppet big rip 😠

This is not my first time using this method so I don't think I did anything wrong. Like I said I went back to geppetos office to pick up his letter. The problem is the achievement doesn't pop until you open your inventory and read the letter, and whenever you do that the game creates a new save (saving icon appears in top right) and thus gets rid of your previous save before you talk to geppeto

The cloud save scum works, I was able to open the letter, i just hit the back button when i picked it up i didnt open my inventory but i doubt it clouds saves when u open the inventory anyways i think the other guy just messes up somehow like accidentally went to the stargaser first.

It doesn't matter if the game saves, it doesn't upload to the cloud until you quit the game. The only place you can make a mistake is if before deleting your save, you dashboarded out and quit the game, as you need to delete the save while the game is still running in the background.

This game doesn't seem to upload to cloud at the start screen like most other games, but at random intervals during play. So as suggested, you should go offline to prevent a cloud upload from happening if you're planning to save scum.

If anyone could chime in, i know of someone who went through the process offline then after getting their save back off the cloud the achievements never popped. I myself am on a xbox one and them a series x. I am unaware if that makes a difference, but ive successfully done this method a few times now and it worked out fine, so im not sure why it didnt work for them.

It worked fine for me. I think some people may not understand you don't go to the home screen and then delete the save. You bring up the guide, the game should still be running in the background. Select the game in the guide and select manage. then delete the save.
Now I just have beat the god damn Nameless puppet.

FruitofPassion You might need to go online just as you pop the cheevo and pray that you don’t happen to get a cloud upload. There doesn’t seem to be a reliable way to circumvent it.

Cloud save method definitely not work all the time. Just tried it and after you read Gepetto's letter(all 3 page) the game overwrites your previous Stargazer Geppeto save. I wish just used the "go offline" mode like chris8079 suggested.

Now i had to do 2 other playthroughs.

I had the complete opposite happen several times when trying different outcomes; the moment I’d quit to menu to trigger a cloud upload had not been saved at all, but instead I was reverted to a much earlier random point where I had definitely not quit to menu. Ymmv

I went offline to make sure I don’t get an auto-save but then I forgot I was playing on Gamepass so I am forced to go online if I want to play.

Random update. I tried a second time offline and again, no achievements popped for me. Seems to be hit or miss but definitely worth trying it offline first for people. If then forced to try online, I was fortunate and it worked, but I booked it straight to gepetto's desk, picked up the letter, went through the pages, and did the delete immediately on achievement pop. Not worth risking it by going to do anything else (like piano or secret weapon - get those after nameless puppet)

Cloud save trick worked for me. I only skipped the credits.

Got this ending first and then the rise of p ending. It seemed to me that this ending is the neutral ending and rise of p is the bad ending.

In Lies of P, if the save icon ever shows in the top right corner, the game is saving to the cloud. This happens when you pick up the letter.

Not always. It might, but it's not consistent at all.

It seemed to me that this ending is the neutral ending and rise of p is the bad ending.

Did you get it the other way around? This is very clearly the worst ending with Rise of P being the best possible.

@WhyattThrash - I was about to say the same thing. The thought of everyone in the hotel dying = the neutral ending is crazy! In Rise of P, we don't really know for sure if P died or not, he could just have exhausted himself reviving Sophia. Plus since we're more "human" than "Puppet" now, maybe we don't need Ergo to function like the other puppets.

What I personally think happened is that P gave Sofia enough Ergo to come back to life as a puppet. If we play P again in the DLC or the sequel, maybe that's how we get reset to 0, because we gave away all of our Ergo.

We know he didn’t, the events that we keep playing after the ending if we don’t go to NG+ is after the ending. If P died, we’d just go straight to NG+ with no option to continue.

But reading what you said and realizing that the final boss is not here, the letters, and the puppets of our companions of the Real Boy ending, it would be afterward the ending you just got. Plus, of course, our Gold Coin Fruit "friend" disappeared afterward as well.

I used both methed at once: synced the save before Geppetto, then gone offline and gave hearth, returned the hotel to play the tune.
Deleted the savegame, returned online and started from the final fight

Games like dark souls and P will sync to cloud even if you don't exit sometimes but its total luck.

I have noticed that most games of this genre, fail to sync to cloud if you are streaming the game from Xbox to pc, via the Xbox app.

This happens because the internet is overwhelmed that moment, at least for me. So its worth to try to save scum while streaming.

The game does seem to upload to the cloud if you take to long after the ending mopping up the other achievements related to the ending your on. Tested with my rise of p ending. So to avoid that the safest way to go about it will be:

Do rise of p ending first and get all the other achievements related to that.

Then with ng+ do your free from the puppet strings ending(make a cloud save at the stargazer at final boss), the achievement will pop just as the credits start to roll and you can do the cloud save method.

Then you will be back before the boss fight and can give your hart for real boy ending and the other achievement related to that.

Just did it this way with gamepass version.

tried the offline method and worked perfectly. achievements popped right away after relaunching game online. note, after like 5 or so minutes of no active internet for w.e. reason i get an xbox error kicking me from the game even though its installed local, so make sure you skip all dialogue and credit scene, and quickly cancel on the NG+. then run to the desk and just skip through all the pages of the letter JIC, should be just enough time to beat the disconnect and then proceed to deleting your local save

Hello everyone! Just wanted to comment down here that I'm glad that this has been helpful and that the majority of those who have tried have been successful. I know that this has failed for some, but currently, cloud saving does work, and I can guess that the down-votes are from unsuccessful attempts.

For anyone who hasn't done it yet, I recommend you read through the guide fully and the comments for the best insight. Especially about trying it offline and speeding through to avoid auto-saves or any other mishaps.

@WhyattThrash - Thanks for the insight! When I initially made the guide, it was just explaining how to get this particular ending. But then FrankCastle492 confirmed that cloud saving worked, and so the guide expanded on that, and everyone else's ideas.

Also, thanks for pointing out the error in his statement, I didn't catch that myself and might have missed that if anyone else mentioned it prior. Although I would be surprised if that's what the downvotes are for! I've mentioned doing it offline and quickly, but noticed people might be missing that if I'm reading the comments right. I should stress that it should be done that way, and I'll add what you just said on the top for the best visual.

I think the error people make is "quit the game" I don't think people realize you mean hit the dashboard button and select "Quit Game" Tried the method today and it works 10000% got two endings in one file. People are just mad they can't read. Great solution!

I actually made it twice cause i missed to trade the ergo, i could delete the profile twice and resync from cloud. So it definitely works if you do these steps. It took me also a half an hour to kill nameless and it didnt overwrite the cloudsave

I don't know where I went wrong, but it didn't work for me. I killed Nameless Puppet while offline. Then, after the credits, I pressed B and got the Sophia and Special Weapon achievements. Thing is, the achievements just don't pop while you're offline. So, I went to the dashboard, went online, and then the achievements popped. Thing is, in the very same moment a save was uploaded into the cloud, even though I was on the dashboard.

I was afraid to delete the physical saves, as I thought in that case the achievements wouldn't have a chance to register. Maybe I should have done so? Not sure, though.

AndreiMaxSLD quit the game to make a cloud upload, then play the game as normal for half an hour, an hour (grab some new stargazers, defeat some bosses etc), then delete your cloud save. You will have a cloud upload from some random point during play that was NOT from when you quit the game.

I have no idea what triggers it, but the game 100% performs random cloud uploads during normal play, as plenty of people have pointed out.

@WhyattThrash you obviously have zero reasons to be hanging around after credits if you only looking for the achievements, just dashboard right after grabing the letter and do the process, i had success with this method as well as other players from what i heard, so whatever is being done in this method is not trigering the cloud upload at all.

I deleted the save immediately after collecting the letter and it didn't work. I reloaded my save right after the letter. The cloud save must have synced

Glad I saw this, as I screwed up my first playthrough ( all lies ) when I let Sophia live, didn't really want to play 2 more times so this was a time saver. The cloud method listed by FrankCastle worked perfectly, The only problem was i had to kill Manus again, but that's on me I think, as I repaired the Stargazer by Gepetto but didn't use it. But as of Nov 6 the cloud method works, thanks once again!!

I tried the offline method for the Real Boy ending, as well as going for the Pianist and One Father achievements, but none of the achievements ever popped after coming back online (I did delete the console save prior to coming back online). Is there something I did wrong? Has anyone gotten the offline method to work?

EDIT: I tried this the next day and I got it to work. The only difference was I was online when rebooting the game and went offline after it was booted again.

After the offline method failed for me, in my second playthrough I tried again by using FrankCastle's instructions. This time it thankfully worked! I think one mistake last time may have been that I deleted the harddrive saves from the dashboard and not while still in the game.

as of Nov 16, FrankCastle492's solution worked just fine. i even added in playing the piano and had zero issues. pressing the xbox button and deleting the save file from the pop-up sidebar (as he outlines in his solution) doesn't trigger a save upload, but dashboarding does. once the home menu loads you're having your save overwritten. That's probably be why so many people aren't having this work.

Online method worked for me as of Dec 7 2023, repaired gepetto stargazer then quit to main menu, dashboarded and highlighted the game and hard quit the game app. Then loaded it up gave him the heart skipped credits ran upstairs got the letter then pressed the guide button highlighted lies of P press start "manage game and addons" --> saved data --> delete all --> confirm delete all

It kicked me out of the game and when I loaded it up I was back at the gepetto stargazer. Also when I picked the letter up there was the save icon (as well as multiple save icons as I was doing the bad ending) but it didnt matter because it still loaded the cloud save at the stargazer.

I think what a lot of people are doing wrong is when you pick up the letter you have to bring up the guide and force delete the save while the app is still running, if you dashboard and then highlight the game to delete the save it updates the cloud save as soon as you dashboard. That or maybe it does do periodic saves and people are just being too slow to finish the ending and go get the letter and then quickly delete the save data.

Did everything as instructed and it didn’t work, so looks like the whole playthrough was a waste of time trying to lie. Don’t bother trying this guys you’ll just fuck your save up.
Not worth 3 play throughs so this is very frustrating that it didn’t work! Honestly feel so disheartened that I don’t even want to do a 2nd as I assume there is no way to get that save back now 🙄

I tried the cloud save and now the playthrough was a bit of a waste. What makes it worse it that I did everything on my first playthrough, but I accidentally reset the playthrough because I didn't realize there was stuff after until it was too late. Then on my second playthrough, I tried the cloud save method, but it didn't work. So now I have to play through 2 more times if I want to %100. I regret not hitting b instead of resetting. I love the game, but man it just kinda sucks.

Got it to work with the offline method, never popped at first but I deleted the save then restarted the game before going back online then got to the menu went back online quit out the game and when I restarted game it asked if I wanted to use save from either console or cloud, I chose cloud and 2 achievements popped.. I restarted at the stargazer before Geppetto thankfully as this game is great but i never wanted an extra playthrough.

For me the online one didnt work. I followed the instructions clearly but was confused that at many steps the autosave icon popped up, like after giving the heart in the cutscene, when the credits started, when appearing in the hotel and while reading the letter before the achievement popped. Then i deleted my savefile, startezd the game again and got a message about not closing the game the right way the last time i played and continued in front of the desk. So i have to play another playthrough.. Well.

Offline method didn't work for me either, I tried 2 times already. V 1.4

Went offline, started at stargazer, gave the heart, cancelled new game plus, got the letter from the coin fruit tree guy, and Gepetto,
deleted the save game from the sidebar, game restarts, went back online, opened the game, restored from cloud, no achievements popped up and back to same spot.

I loved the game, but not willing to do multiple playthroughs. Next game!

Did you both start the game in online and only go offline after having loaded your game? People have suggested they’ve had better luck getting the unlocks after restoring when doing it that way.

I can confirm the online method as described by Gotham Rises above works perfectly as of 10/1/24, I had also used it to get Sekiro's endings previously so was familiar with the method already, got Real Boy then deleted the console save, went back onto the game and it put me back in front of Geppetto, refused, killed Nameless Puppet and got Rise of P all in the space of 10 minutes.

If you don't plan on using the cloud save exploit, do this ending last, as you won't have to fight the Nameless Puppet on NG+2. And NG+ feels much more difficult than in other Souls games, so I really would try to get your endings with any of the cloud save methods, and not play through the game 3 times like I did!

I just did Whitops method for offline and this worked v1.5.0.0 (14th April 2024). The only difference for me was the achievements didn’t overtly pop on screen, but they had quietly done so in the menu’s after I went back online.

April 16 whitops method still valid and working - rest at stargazer at bottom of elevator after defeating manus, exit game to create cloud save, load back up the game, go offline, kill nameless puppet, delete save data off console during the credits without closing the game, go back online, now you’re back at stargazer before talking to geppetto :D

-Quit and close your game normally so your save uploads to the cloud.

I'm not sure how anyone got the stay online, delete your local save method to work. In my experience when trying to get multiple ending achievements like this, you HAVE to go offline to avoid the game uploading the save to the cloud (this means having your home xbox on your console to be able to play offline in the first place). Especially in soulslike games where the game remembers where you are upon quitting out.

In Lies of P, if the save icon ever shows in the top right corner, the game is saving to the cloud. This happens when you pick up the letter.
People that had this method work for them must not have picked up the letter or got lucky with the game not saving.

I think part of the downvotes is that the solution contains misinformation like the quote from FrankCastle492 saying the game only performs cloud uploads when quitting the game. Which much of the playerbase now knows for a fact is incorrect.

I realize it’s hard to make recommendations when the game’s so unpredictable, but it would probably be a good idea to mention explicitly that the game does perform periodic cloud uploads without user interaction. The safest way to go for the achievements are to 1) try offline or 2) go about it real fast if offline doesn’t work, but be aware that might lead to the game uploading a save on its own and there’s not much to be done about it.

I don't know what I did wrong but the reload method completely failed for me. I was going for the "free from the puppet string" ending first. So I went offline and killed NP, skipped the credits, played the piano, then dashboarded and deleted my local save. Went back online and reloaded the game and it put me back in Hotel Krat post-NP with no achievements. So not only was I not able to reload to get the human achievement, I didn't get the achievement for letting Sophia live and killing NP. Looks like I need to do two more playthroughs.

Online DOES work. Was playing Sekiro just before this so the method was fresh on my mind. I made my cloud save before even going down the elevator after defeating Simon. You do this back pressing start, and quitting out to the game's main menu. Continued game from there, got ending and achievements and all you do is this:

MAKE SURE YOUR GAME IS RUNNING after you get your final achievement for whatever you're doing > hit Xbox button > hover Lies of P > Menu button > Manage game > Saved data > Click your gamertag > Delete from console > Resume Lies of P. You should then be forced to load the game back to the main menu, just hit continue, and you should be back at wherever you made your cloud save. Literally just worked for me. If you've played a From Software game, you've done this before..

After reading all these comments, and the intermittent nature both a) earning achievements offline and then not unlocking when going back on, or b) earning them online and having a background sync occur so being able to quit and restore the prior save, I tested another method.

I haven't tested this with the endings as I am not that far through yet, but was able to successfully do this mid game to verify the process. Note this requires the use of another console/pc/cloud:

- Console A: Primary Console/PC
- Console B: Alternate Console/PC or cloud

- A: Save game at point which to return to, quit to title, and then exit game normally. Allow a few minutes for cloud sync to finish, and then go offline
- B: Load game which will sync cloud save, and then continue playing online, completing whichever actions/ending required, unlocking achievements as normal
- A: To roll back to previous save, while still offline, load the game and accept the warning about no network connection. Continue your previous save which will be at the point you want to return to, fast travel somewhere to create a new save and then quit to title, exit again. Now restore the network connection and re-launch the game, you will get a conflict message, and ask which save you want to keep, local or cloud. Keep your local save, and this will then replace your cloud save with your local progress and you can continue as normal

I will update again in a few days when I get to the end.

the thing about "periodic cloud uploads" is incorrect, lies of p save is uploaded to cloud only when you close the game, this should be more clear in this guide cause theres a lot of people here afraid of messing up and lose their saves or end up in need to make a 3rd run.

MiNDmaZing method seems to be the only one working now, just got 2 endings in 1 run doing exactly what he said and whitout going offline at all (tried going offline method once and had no success)

- activate and use the last stargazer before talking to gepeto.

- close the game so your save get uploaded to cloud

- start game again, give your hearth to gepeto and get the ending achievement, do not go into NG+, when back at hotel krat go to gepeto desk and get the letter for a second achievement.

- once you get the letter DO NOT CLOSE THE GAME, just dashboard and delete both game saved data (profile and reserved) you will get a message warning telling you that this action will force the game to close, confirm it and delete your saved data.

-start game again and your cloud save from before will be downloaded taking you back to the stargazer, refuse to give your hearth kill nameless puppet and you will get your missing ending.

Just got this achievement using the offline method. First time I tried, I started the game offline, did the requirements of 3 achievements. Deleted the local save and reserved space. When I went back online, nothing happened. Second time, started the game while online, went offline at the Stargazer before Geppetto. Did the requirements for the same 3 achievements, deleted the save and reserved space. When I went back online, the achievements unlocked without even opening the game. When I reloaded the game, it resynced my save and I was back at the Stargazer.

In addition, I think the online method might work just as well, the only reason I didn't go for it is because I actually couldn't go back to an earlier save to get something I missed using that method. And I hadn't gone to the dashboard. Just deleted the save and reserved space using the sidebar menu. However, I actually hit the xbox button a few times while making up my mind on what to do, so that might have triggered a save upload. Just sharing my experience anyways. (v. 1.3.0.0).
