How to unlock the The Story of the Blue Butterfly achievement in Lies of P - Definitive Guide
This is what I did to unlock this achievement:
1. I gave peace to Sophia (might not be necessary)
2. I finished the game with the "Rise of P" ending (achieved by lying and refusing to give your heart)
3. Do NOT start New Game + right away, rather press when prompted after killing
4. Go to Geppetto's desk at hotel Krat and find a blue letter called "The Blue Butterfly's Letter"
5. Find the letter in the collectables tab and press to read it and the achievement should pop
Add any suggestions or steps I might've missed in the comment!
EDIT:
Apparently you need a lot of humanity (to lie throughout the playthrough) for this to work. A good indicator is that your hair should first become long and then gray near the end of the game. If you told truth throughout the majority of your playthrough the letter and the correct ending might void.

Does anyone know if giving Sophia peace is necessary? I accidentally chose to let her live on my humanity/lie playthrough and I'm really hoping I didn't screw up getting this achievement (but it kinda seems like I did).
EDIT: Yeah, looks like it is necessary. I didn't get it. Oh well, another playthrough it is!

I was so close to getting this achievement on my first playthrough, but I accidentally reset the run instead hitting cancel to go back the the hotel. Now I have to play through a minimum of 4 times to get every achievement. Fml

You have to read Sophia's Letter placed at Geppetto's desk after Rise of P ending for this achievement.

**MISSABLE**
After you defeat Laxasia The Complete, make sure you choose to “Give Sophia peace.” Then, when you finish the game, choose not to give Gepetto the heart. Beat the Nameless Puppet boss. Don’t start a New Game+, go back to Hotel Krat, and pick up the letter on Gepetto’s desk and read it. This achievement will then unlock.

The two most important points: When you meet her in person, you need to Give her peace!
And don't give your heart to Geppeto.
In the end, don’t start NG+ right away. We need to return to the hotel and go up to Geppeto's room. There will be an envelope from Sofia on his desk. After reading, a prize should appear.
If possible, it is better to lie to everyone except Evgenia and listen to the records. There is a theory that this also has an effect.
