Lies of P

This achievement requires you to find all 16 records in the game. Some are only available in NG+ while others can only be received by responding with specific responses, making them missable.

I’ll list all the records in order of when you can encounter them.

If you would like to check which records you’re missing head over to the gramophone at Hotel Krat to check your record collection.

1. Feel (Missable) In Krat City Hall you’ll come across a woman in a window asking to retrieve her baby. Say you’ll do it and keep progressing forward to find the broken baby puppet. Once you pick the puppet up head back to her and make sure you say She’s a cute baby to get this record.

2. Divine Service (Missable) In St Frangelico Cathedral Library you’ll come across an NPC named Cecille. She will ask you to retrieve the Archbishop mark. Proceed further into the level to find the mark then head back and give it to her. Make sure to give Cecille the mark BEFORE you kill the archbishop or you’ll miss this one. After you’ve given her the mark go kill the boss of this area and return to find this record where Cecille was standing. Do this ASAP as Cecille will become infected if you wait too long.

3. Someday In Malum District, once you reach the Red Lobster Inn look for a ladder that takes you up to a merchant. This merchant will be selling this record for 3,800 ergo.

4. Fascination (Missable) This record can be found in the Estella Opera House in Adelina’s room after the Puppet King fight. You MUST give Adelina the red apple that Polendina sells to her before you kill the Puppet King or you’ll miss this one. Polendina sells the red apple once you give him the Krat supply box that can be found in the St Frangelico Cathedral Chapel. Once you kill the boss return to her room to find this record.

5. Why (Missable) This record is super missable. First off, once you’re in the Grand Exhibition area you’ll need to find the NPC named Belle. When you’re up top walking across narrow beams you’ll see a ladder leading down to where she’s at. Exhaust all her dialog and then proceed through story. Be sure to speak to her before killing Champion Victor or this will become missable. She will return to Hotel Krat and give you a mission later on. Once Antonia tells you about the secret passage go and speak with Belle. She will want you to go look for her partner which can be found in Krat Central Station Platform. Her partner can be found in a train cart underneath and behind a staircase (right before the Robber Weasel fight). Her partner looks like a normal zombie enemy so make sure to NOT kill him or it’ll mess up the mission. After speaking with her partner return to Belle and say, He was killed in action fighting a puppet. You must lie to get this record. She will give you this record afterwards.

6.Quixotic (Missable) Near the end of the Grand Exhibition area after the boss fight, you’ll meet up with the Red Fox and Black Cat. Give them a gold coin to receive this record.

7. Memory of Beach (Missable) Later in the game Polendina will tell you that Antonia doesn’t have much longer to live. He will ask you to help with a cure. I believe after killing Champion Victor, go and speak with Giangio near the tree and give him a gold coin in exchange for a cure. Afterwards go and give the cure to Polendina. This must all be done before Hotel Krat gets attacked. As you progress further through the story you’ll learn that Antonia has passed away (after you defeat Laxasia The Complete). Go upstairs to Geppetto’s room to find this record in her wheelchair.

8. Misty E’rA (Missable) This one can be found in Hermits Cave. To access this area you must first get the rustic cryptic vessel. This vessel can be found at the Collapsed Street stargazer later in the game. Look for a chest requiring you to jump down from a ledge to find the special krat supply box. Now head back to Hotel Krat and give the box to Polendina who will now be selling the vessel. Buy it and decipher it from Vegnini and then head to the Barren Swamp Bridge stargazer. Turn around and you’ll notice the gate to this area is now open. Progress to the end of this area and kill the elite to receive this record. Make sure to do this before the end of the game since Vegnini will disappear making this one missable.

For records 9 & 10, you only can get one or the other in a single playthrough. You’ll have to go for the one you don’t initially get in NG+

-Also make to sure to give Alidoro Eugenie’s gloves when he is outside the Barren Swamp stargazer to be able to kill him at Relic of Trismegistus.

9. Proposal, Flower, Wolf, Part 1 (Missable) For this record you must kill Alidoro at Relic of Trismegistus. Take his vessel over to Vegnini and be sure to read through every page of the deciphered vessel BEFORE speaking with Eugenie. If you speak with her first then you’ll miss out on this one. Once speaking with her say that he was her older brother. After speaking with her go rest at the stargazer and then go speak with her again to receive the record.

10. Far East Princess (Missable) This record is similar to the one above in terms of how you get it. Pretty much do the same thing as above, kill Alidoro, head to Vegnini to decipher it, you don’t have to read it this time. Talk with Eugenie and tell her that Alidoro was just a talented stalker for this record.

11. Shadow Flower (Missable) At the Ascension Bridge, near the end of the game when you meet Sophia choose to give her peace for this record. You MUST choose give her peace to receive this record.


NEW GAME+ RECORDS

12. Proposal, Flower, Wolf Part 1 (Golden) (Missable) This record can be bought from the merchant near Cerasani Alley, right before the first boss fight for 6,000 ergo. Make sure to buy this one early as this merchant will disappear later throughout the game.

13. Quixotic (Golden) This record can be purchased from the merchant at the Inside the House at Elysion Boulevard stargazer. This record costs 10,000 ergo.

14. Shadow Flower (Golden) In the Lorenzini Arcade area you’ll come across a merchant near a fountain where you get the key in order to progress. He sells the record for 10,000 ergo.

15. Memory of Beach (Golden) This record can be bought from the merchant at the Abandoned Apartment stargazer near the end of the game. The record can be purchased for 10,000 ergo.

16. Fascination (Golden) In the final area of the game you’ll come across Test Subject 826. At the Arche Abbey Outer Wall, near the final trinity room look for a passageway guarded by a boxing elite and take the elevator down to find him. Exhaust all dialog and then proceed to fight Laxasia The Complete. Once you kill her, fast travel to Rosa Isabelle Street. Look for the bridge overlooking the opera house with fire in the background to find Test Subject 826. He sells the final record that you need!

Once you have all the records make sure to listen to them all to get the achievement. You don’t have to listen to them fully, just let each one play for a couple seconds then switch to the next one.

Feel

• Krat City Hall – do the woman in the window lie, you get it right before the police bot

• Lie to her by telling her its a cute baby, get the record

Divine Service

• St. Frangelico Cathederal Library – as soon as you get here, go to the left and see Cecile, asking for the archbishop’s holy mark

• You need to do this BEFORE beating Fallen Archbishop Andreus

• By the door to the elevator to meet Alidoro, go left up the stairs, continue to the other side of the room where there’s a room with a safe

• Grab it and return it to Sister Cecile

• Beat Fallen Archbishop Andreus,and if you return to the location, you get Cecile’s Written Confession

Someday

• Malnum district - once you’ve opened up the shortcut before fighting the black rabbit brotherhood the first time around, head up a ladder on the right of the room

• Here you can find a merchant, purchasing it for 3800 ergo (woof)

Fascination

• You must purchase the red apple

• This is from the St Frangelico Cathedral Chapel star gazer, and is found just past a gate where an elite carcass ambushes a player

• Turn right and go through another gate to find a box containg the krat supply box

• Take that to Polendina, and you can purchase the red apple for 1000 ergo

• Estella Opera House – find Adelina by following this path here, up the stairs on the right and you can find her in the room

• Do this before you beat the King of Puppets

• Talk to her, and eventually you will be prompted to give her the red apple

• Go and defeat the king of puppets, return back and you can pick up Fascination on the ground

Quixotic

• Grand Exhibition Conference Room – after beating Champion Victor, talk to the red fox and black cat

• Give them a gold coin fruit to help lessen the effects of the Petrification disease

• You get the record as a reward

Why

• First you need to rescue Belle from the Grand Exhibition, which she can be found while exploring following the path im showing you here

• She’s kind of perched up on a hard to reach spot, but eventually when you are able to talk to her, she will come back to the hotel with you

• Beat the Green Monster of the Swamp, and then talk to Belle to get her side quest, which is to look for her missing partner

• Krat Central Station Lobby Stargazer, go through the unlocked shortcut gate, down the stairs, and you’ll see a door opened to a train cart

• Unlike the others, this carcass will actually talk to you and give you a letter to give back to belle

• Speak to belle and this time lie to her telling her that he died fighting a puppet

• You get the Why record

Misty E’ra

• Barren Swamp Bridge – you need to unlock this cave area via the rusty cryptic vessel

• You’ll find the Hermit’s Cave stargazer, and as you pass through, you get a bunch of lore about Medoro, who is camping out here

• Once you get to the end, you can find him, and after defeating him in petrification disease form, he will drop the record

Far East Princess/Proposal Flower, Wolf part 1

• Sorry completionists, you can only get one of these records on your playthrough

• After beating the black rabbit brotherhood for the second time, walk up and you’ll find Alidoro, who at this point has betrayed the Hotel by giving the location away

• After some dialogue where you find out he is actually Parrot, Alidoro’s old assistant who actually killed Alidoro and stole his identity

• You get the option to attack him, do so and he drops alidoro’s cryptic vessel

• Don’t worry, Hugo becomes the next Alidoro so you can still buy weapons and amulets

• Take the vessel to Venigni, he will decode it revealing a letter

• Bring the letter to Euginee and you can choose where to tell her the truth about Alidoro, her brother, or lie to her keeping his identity a secret

• Lying grants Far East Princess, telling the truth gives you Proposal Flower, Wolf Part 1

Shadow Flower

• SPOILER: when presented with the option in the story, choose to kill Sophia granting her mercy

• After you kill her, she will drop the record in her chair

Memory of Beach

• This one you have to start quite early on, but after you progress the story enough, Polendina will let you know he has developed an ego

• Then you’ll be given the option to synthesize a cure for lady Antonia, which can be done by the gold fruit tree

• Give Antonia the cure, and then proceed the story to beat Laxasia

• When you return to hotel krat afterwards, Polendina will tell you Lady Antonia has passed away, so go up to her chair and grab the record, Memory of beach

Gold Records – only obtainable in NG+ and can be bought at merchants
Proposal Flower, Wolf Part 1 (Gold)

• Ceresani alley, beside the parade puppet, can be purchased the 6000 ergo
• Quixotic (Gold)

• Inside the House of Elysion Boulevard, the merchant in the other room beside the stargazer for 10 000 ergo

Shadow Flower (Gold)

• There is a merchant inside the Lorenzini Arcade in a garden area

• When you advance far enough you’ll see him, and here’s the route if you have the shortcuts open

• Costs 10 000 ergo

Memory of Beach (Gold)

• Inside the abandoned apartment, you can find the merchant just before you walk out onto the street

• Costs 10 000 ergo

Fascination (Gold)

• Have to find Test Subject 826 who can read the ergo, or memories of people who have died

• You can find him by the Arche Abbey Outer Wall, all the way at the bottom, around where the final trinity sanctum is, and down the elevator that is past some traps

• After talking to him here, he will flee once he knows you aren’t a threat to him

• Beat laxasia, and then head to Rosa Isabelle Street Entrance

• From here, walk back close to where you found the puppet who was the gentleman’s wife, up the bridge, and you can find test subject 826 here

• Costs 10 000 ergo
