How to unlock the The Awakened God achievement in Lies of P - Definitive Guide
Similar to Laxasia, Simon Manus starts out as a slow fight, but escalates to the toughest battle in Lies of P during phase 2. Phase 2 of this fight is the toughest battle in the game. Summon a specter if you want to make this fight slightly easier, but it won’t simplify the fight. If you upgraded the P-Organ to increase special grindstone uses, the second application helps.
Gear Setup
What gear you bring to the fight is entirely up to you and should match the attributes you have leveled up. Here is the setup that was used in making this guide:- Weapon: Bone-Cutting Sawblade +10 & Big Pipe Wrench Handle
- Legion Arm: Falcon Eyes
- Amulets: Patience, Iron Wall, & Blue Guardianship
- Frame: F350
- Converter: Old Generation (starter)
- Cartridge: Belford Disruption
- Liner: LADA Fiber-Reinforced
Phase 1
During phase 1, Simon Manus swings his massive mace around the arena making it difficult to keep your distance. Stay close to the boss and attack every time he places his mace back on his right shoulder and hunches down to rest. If you stagger Simon Manus in phase 1, hit his weak point in front of his head. Try to save your buffs for phase 2.- Sweeping Swings: Simon Manus swings his mace from side-to-side as his primary attack. Block the slow moving swings to work toward staggering the boss.
- Slam: When he raises the mace over his head, move out to avoid the mace slamming into the ground.
- Vault & Slam: If Simon’s slam is used to vault him into the air as he turns red, move away or time a dodge when he crashes back to the floor.
- Charged Mace: After slamming his mace down, Simon Manus may push it further into the ground. When you see this, move away and avoid the energy vortex that follows. He will always chain 2 swings after this move.
- Charged Slam: If you see the mace electrified before an attack, move out to avoid the explosion. Then, run around to his back for a free hit.
- Mace Jab: Occasionally, Simon will jab the mace directly at you and pull it back. Both the stab and the return can damage you, so move away or dodge.
Phase 2
In phase 2, increases the difficulty of the battle significantly and makes this the toughest fight in the game. During this phase Simon Manus is faster on the battlefield and casts multiple ranged attacks at the same time. Additionally, the boss applies disruption which will instantly kill you if it builds up.- Light Spheres: Simon Manus will toss multiple light spheres in your direction, move to position yourself between the spheres to avoid damage and disruption.
- Fire Spheres: If the boss throws multiple orange spheres in your direction, start running to miss them as they all dart toward you.
- Laser Sphere: When the boss channels a large yellow sphere above his head, run around the arena to avoid getting hit by disruption beams.
- Blast Wave: If Simon Manus lifts his glowing arm up to his face, run to the side and avoid the 1-2 incoming blast waves.
- Blue Beams: When the boss slams his glowing arm into the ground, start running to avoid 3 beams of blue light from above.
- Hand of God: Half way through the fight, Simon will charge and raise his mace in the air. After that, the hand will periodically touch down on the arena dealing damage in a large area. Look for the beam of blue light and get as far from it as you can. At this point, start unleashing all ranged attacks you have when there is a good opening. But, only do so if you have enough life to last a few more minutes of intense fighting.

Here's what I did:
- Legion Arm mine right away
- Acid Grindstone
- Dodge
- Fable Arts with Motivity/Greatsword
- Charge Attacks
That's phase 1 done. Meanwhile, the spectre pretty much has full health still.
- Fable Catalysts
- Acid Grindstone
- Fable Arts
- Charged Attacks until the spectre dies
- Dodge + Legion Arm mine + Acid Canisters
In my run, Simon still had a slither of health so I finished him off with a Shot Put.
Amulets: extra health, extra stamina, extra defense, extra damage against humans.
Defense parts: disruption and strike.

Story-related and unmissable.
In the first phase of the fight, Simon’s attacks are easily parried; he swings a giant ball on the end of a stick. It’s best to get into a rhythm in this first part of the fight. Keep careful distance, make sure that you watch your stamina, and head in for some quick attacks, and a Fatal Attack or two.
In the second phase of the fight, Simon uses many of the attacks that he was using before, only now he throws a Disruption status effect into the works and some wide-sweeping area-of-effect attacks. Keep a Resistance Ampoule handy, because if the Disruption meter fills up then you will die. He has another attack where he will shoot bolts of energy at you, but this is easily sprinted away from or laterally dodged. Keep in mind, too, that Simon is damaged by fire, so the Flamberge Legion Arm and the fire Grindstone are both great tools for this fight. Once you have beaten him, this achievement will unlock.

In the first phase, it is vulnerable to fire. It will be a big bonus if the ghost survives to the second, so you can use the cube to increase its health. If difficulties arise, stock up on throwing objects. Purchased from a merchant in the Malum area. You can farm at the exhibition, right next to the Stargazer, right where there are two swordsmen and one colossus, for killing three they give 1200 ergos.
