How to unlock the The First Puppet achievement in Lies of P - Definitive Guide
Refuse to give Geppetto your heart at the end of the game to unlock The Nameless Puppet optional boss. Similar to the last few bosses, the first phase is slower than the second. If you upgraded the P-Organ to increase special grindstone uses, the second application helps.
Gear Setup
What gear you bring to the fight is entirely up to you and should match the attributes you have leveled up. Here is the setup that was used in making this guide:- Weapon: Bone-Cutting Sawblade +10 & Big Pipe Wrench Handle
- Legion Arm: Falcon Eyes
- Amulets: Patience, Iron Wall, & Blue Guardianship
- Frame: F350
- Converter: Old Generation (starter)
- Cartridge: Belford Disruption
- Liner: LADA Fiber-Reinforced
Phase 1
At the start of phase 1, buff your weapon then quickly move to the right to avoid Caro’s opening attack. Block most of the incoming attacks and try get get perfect guards to stagger him later in the fight. When the First Puppet is stunned, hit him with a charged attack. Otherwise, limit your attacks to 1-2 hits between combos if you don’t need to heal, repair, or rest. Unlike other bosses in Lies of P, the Nameless Puppet will heal if you are too far away from him.- Swing/Uppercut/Jab: Block or perfect guard the Nameless Puppet’s core attacks.
- Double Swing: When the boss swings his sword in a circle over his head counter-clockwise, block 2 consecutive hits coming from his right.
- Leap Attack: If the Nameless Puppet jumps toward you either block or dodge to the side.
Phase 2
In phase 2, the Nameless Puppet is faster, more aggressive, and has 2 buffed swords. Once you lower his life to 30%, toss all your Throwing Cells at him in succession. Then, switch to the Saw Blades and throw them after the previous one completes its attack. Use the Urgent Repair Tool when you’re durability is low. The Nameless Puppet adds the following attacks to this phase:- Dash Attack: If you see the Nameless Puppet squat with both swords over his shoulder, block or move to the side.
- Charged Dash Attack: When the Nameless Puppet squats with both swords out to the side, run to the side to avoid a dash attack that will knock you down.
- Leap & AoE Attack: The First Puppet will jump high in the air just before slamming his sword down creating a 3 red lines on the ground that deal AoE damage and will explode. When you see him jump, either steps slightly to the side to end up between the lines or move far the the side/away from the target.
- Corkscrew Attack: If the Nameless Puppet spins as he jumps up, run to the side and avoid his corkscrew attack.
- Extended Slam: When the boss raised a glowing sword high above his head, run/dodge to the side and avoid the extra long slam that follows.
- Dash, Thrust, & Lift: If the boss squats with 1 sword pointed at you, move far away. He will follow by lunging toward you, impaling you with his sword, and lifting you up.

**MISSABLE**
In order to fight the Nameless Puppet, you will need to refuse to give Gepetto the heart at the climax in the Under the Abyss area.
It isn’t a very tough boss, as these things go. During the first phase, its attacks are very easy to perfectly parry, and you can get in some Fatal Attacks to take huge chunks out of its health bar. It’s really the second phase that you need to steel yourself for. The thing’s moves are completely different, and now they’re really fast, too. During this phase, the best thing to do is to sprint clear of its attacks and dodge as carefully as you can, managing your stamina. Run in for some basic swipes and then get your distance – in similar fashion to the King’s Flame Fuoco fight.

Personally, the whetstone for the perfect block and the hand of Aegis helped me.

I killed a puppet, but they didn’t give me the trophy, it seemed to be glitchy.

The method indicated above is difficult in the second phase of the boss. In order to kill the puppet without straining, leave a lot of throwing objects for the second phase, and throw cannonballs at the end - they make it possible to carry out an enhanced attack. We farm the carrying capacity to 50. We don’t go for approach, only dodges. The main character should be very easy. We pump up the heart for the maximum number of throwing objects, healing - 10 - all for the second phase. Aegis is only effective for the first phase. It’s natural to do everything on the first playthrough with a skip to a flash drive.

At the moment, this is the strongest boss in the game (considering that without a ghost). You need to stock up on a lot of patience first, secondly, it is very important to get lucky with the order of attacks in the second phase.
I fought him in the following way:
1. Upgraded wrench (+10) with a police baton handle (mobility upgraded to A);
2. Fully pumped puppeteer thread;
3. Pumped P's heart to ideal blocks and the ability to have more Legion clips and the ability to fill the Legion gauge more when reloading + increased ATK with a fatal blow;
4. I redistributed the skills so that there would be more on mobility and endurance (endurance will be very useful, since you will have to dodge often and need to be able to jump back at the last moment);
5. Amulets: Amulet of Load +1, Amulet of Fencer, Amulet of Strength, Amulet of Puppet Destroyer.
First phase: when he just starts running towards you, I used the charged attack of the Wrench Legend, it knocks down almost half of the HP (you need to choose the right moment). Then we block perfectly and attack with powerful blows. Ideal blocks will stun him at some point and you can carry out a deadly attack, which removes a lot. Try to go through phase 1 with +8 heals in your pocket. After many tries, the first phase will be completed in a moment.
Second phase: charge the key to acidelectricity and as soon as he starts messing around with swords at the very beginning, I used the puppeteer's thread in the first attack. And then I just looked for the moment: when he stops or finishes his combo, I immediately used the puppeteer's thread again. (not all hits with the thread go through, in some he misses). Then everything depends on the randomness of his combo and your ability to block (I only blocked close hits) and dodge (all long ones).
