The quickest region to unlock is Pine Heights.
Once you have completed the tutorial by running around The Meadows collecting your tools. Head to the west and use your Irrigation Hose to remove the Noxious slimes. There is a percentage gauge in the middle of your screen so you know how much left you need to clear.
Once you have remove all of the slimes in the are and reached 100% this map should unlock and so should the achievement.
There is an achievement linked to clearing the whole map and restoring every region.
