Lightyear Frontier

This questline popped up for me shortly after I gathered some copper in Edge cliffs, Ulf contacts you to collaborate and requires you to build him an outpost (4x aluminium frames and 2x aluminium electronics)

After you build this and assign him to the outpost he asks you to build a seed splicer (6x red crystals, 8x aluminium rods and 3x copper wire) and also build him some hedges (2x plant fiber).

Next he wants some spliced polyberry seeds (5x polyberry seeds) using the new seed splicer you built. (Also unlocking the 'A seed for science' achievement)

Now you need to gift him any mutated plant so splice any seeds you'd like and grow them as normal, once grown gift one to ulf and we move onto the next quest. (Also unlocking the 'successful experiment' achievement)

His next quest is to decorate his outpost, for this you need to build 2x Green mixed flowerbed (15x plant fiber and 5x stone), a table (10x wood) and a chair (4x wood)

You won't get given another quest from him until you hit friendship level 2 with him, you do this by completing his mutated plant collection, this could take a while as the spliced seeds aren't guaranteed to give you the mutated plants. It took me 3 different mutated plants to hit level 2.

Once you hit level 2 with Ulf he'll task you with going to the giant tree area. Once you arrive you will need to collect a root sample and a red leaf sample. Collect these and them head back to ulf where he takes the samples and does some research on them, so you just need to wait for him to do his research at this point.

Now you need to hit friendship level 3 for the next quest, once you hit this you will be tasked with assembling a bonsai tree (10x plant fiber and 2x clay), small pot stack (4x clay) and a twisted candle (3x wax).

The next quest requires friendship level 4 which unlocks the Ulf: moving in quest. First you need to wait for the next day and then you are required to assemble Ulf's house (20x hardwood, 12x clay and 6x clear glass).

Once this has been built he requires you to build some more decorations for the house, you need to build a mixed flower pot (4x plant fiber and 4x clay), pink flower pot (2x plant fiber and 2x clay), brick arch (5x clay) and a plantable pot (4x wood and 6x plant fiber). Speak to ulf once all of this has been built and the achievement will finally unlock!
