How to unlock the First King Dethroned achievement in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name - Definitive Guide

This achievement is unlocked after beating the first of the powerful Coliseum group of fighters called the Four Kings, which you are introduced to in Chapter 4 in the main story after defeating all of the Castle employees. When you head out to the Helipad afterwards, you'll get a cutscene where the Coliseum receptionist calls for Kiryu's attention warning of the Four Kings wanting a piece of him in the wake of his actions in the Castle. The Kings are presented in order, starting with Dan Brody, who'll actually fight you on the main hall of the Castle after the cutscene. Beat him to progress (the achievement WILL NOT unlock afterwards BTW) the main story, and then go to the Coliseum Reception room, where Dan will be present. Interact with him to set up your Coliseum fight, where for this battle it will be a Hell Team Rumble event.

For your clan loadout, you should try to add as many Gold tier fighters as possible, with your team overall sporting at least a couple of defensive oriented brawlers (indicated in blue) and at least one support fighter that will heal your team (indicated in green). Have all your fighters be at least level 15 and their bond levels at least on level 2, but it would be encouraged to get those levels to max (remember too that you can also raise these bond levels buying all the Bubbly Bubbly beverage items at Poolside Pun Oh! SAKAZUKI located in the Fighters Lounge, the total cost of this is 1,420,000 yen. You can't buy repeatedly unfortunately, but it'll reset after you complete a Coliseum fight.

In your Hell Team Rumble, Dan will have a crew of large, beefy guys with weapons, but your team should clear them away easily. For you, focus on Dan, as while he doesn't hold anything exceptional for attacks, he sports a MASSIVE HP pool. Therefore, it is highly encouraged that you max out all of your Attack, Heat Gauge, and Extreme Heat Mode stats, and also note you can raise your heat gauge by smoking in the Coliseum Reception area, so do all these before your fight. Then, switch to Yakuza style, close in on Dan at the start of battle and activate Extreme Heat mode and mash cn_X. Dan will likely be the last guy standing given his HP pool, so just keep pounding on him and eventually your teammates will join in to finish him off. The achievement will unlock once the post-match cutscene is played.

I have 4 gold level fighters. How do I get more? Three of them are fine, but one of them is Mr. Masochist, and I feel like watching a snail crawl would be faster than watching him fight because his attacks are slow as dirt. I don't remember who I have but the four I'm using are currently level 5 and 6, bond level 1 iirc.

If it helps, I have the Four Kings substory active, and I've found all 7 balls. I also have all substories completeed other than the Four Kings (and related ones obviously) and the ball one. I'm very surprised the Golden Samurai didn't join my clan tbh...

EDIT: I figured it out. You should probably post a link to CyricZ's guide on Gamefaqs. Anyway, I really like Sheep man because he's extremely fast, whereas I did a silver tournament with Yasuo Sodachi, and he was barely touched at all.

Brilliantly, the first of the Four Kings is called Dan Brody, and he’s a clown with a penchant for knives, wielding stolen Hornet drones. You’ll meet him during Chapter 4 while visiting the Castle, and will be able to challenge him from the Coliseum Reception. He’s stood to the right of the reception desk, talk to him, choose a full team, then prepare to face the weakest of the Four Kings. And a buttload of his shitty pals. Be wary that there’s a time limit, too, and that Brody can heal himself a lot. Otherwise, this is pretty easy.
