All you have to do is simply earn medals from singing. obviously the better you are at singing the quicker you will earn 500 medals. this is 500 medals total so the mix of medals does not matter.
It also does not matter how many medals you get on each disc of lips as they all add up altho you may have too insert one of the lips add ons (love the 80s/party classics) to see your total number if you have gained medals in those games and the stat screen will show your grand total which includes medals won on all games where as the original lips will show stats for that game only.
Pitch – Have an accurate pitch.
Stability – Stay on pitch for the duration of the note.
Rhythm - Match your vocal rhythm to that of the song’s.
Party - Using the Noise Makes on your 360 Controller or Microphone and being on beat.
Technique - Vocal expertise, i.e. using things like vibrato.
Performance - Successful microphone gesturing during breaks in singing.

Let's say I've collected 80 medals in Original Lips. And later I bought the Party Classics. When I insert the Party Classics it shows me 0 medals and 0 songs sang. But my 400 medals statistics is shown correctly when I'm inserting the original Lips disc. So how should I collect the medals? Are they summed across the two games or should I collect 100/500/1000/1500 medals for the achievement from one disc? (buy playing Party Classic titles from Lips disc or wise versa)? If yes.. it;s completely unacceptable because we need to do disc swapping all the time after each song and there's no preview of the song if the song is on another disc.
Somebody give explanation how to get the achievement if I have both Lips and Sequels (party classic, noh, 80s) and they don't share my medal statistics (unlis song is launched from another disc - disc swapping).
