How to unlock the Recording Artist achievement in Lips - Definitive Guide

If you are having trouble accessing Performance Recording, you will find it in the menus after singing any song from Lips: Party Classics, Lips: I Love the 80's, or any DLC track from around March 2010 onwards. The DLC needs to be played whilst one of these discs are loaded.

When you are given your rank at the end of the song, hit the start button and you will be given a series of options, including "Save Performance". Save your performance in one of the three available slots and go back to the music catalogue. Find the song you saved, access the song menu, select "Performances" and view your save. You will need to save 3 different songs for the achievement to work.

Viewing the start of the song and then quitting out will still register the track as a viewed performance. This will pop up as soon as you start to play your third recorded performance.

Thanks to all the commenter's for the extra info :)

Also, feel free to add that you don't have to watch the whole performance. I started my first two songs, quit out right away, and the achievement still unlocked right when the third performance started. :)

@Lonsta daMonsta thanks, wasn't aware of that. I watched the first two fully just in case, will add to the guide :)

@IM SilentBob I had the same issue. Unlike the other features introduced on NOH & PC, I think this one is disc exclusive.

This was really handy thanks!
I thought I'd chance it with a couple of DLC songs, and I found that they actually let me save the performances
The older DLC such as Rasmus - In The Shadows wouldn't let me save but the new releases such as Lady GaGa would, so do the new DLC releases if you want to save them ;)
Listening to yourself back is so funny haha
Yeah as you said before, you don't need to listen to the recordings fully, just wait until it is about 10 seconds in then quit. Once you view the third video, the achievement should automatically load up! :D
Thanks!

Although you probably knew this already, you don't necessarily have to listen to songs from the Party Classics disc. I got this using the I heart the 80's disc. Good solution. I have no idea why someone would negative vote . . .

I don't think it works on the No. 1 Hits disk, either. I tried it, even listened through the whole song, but no achievement.

I don't get the option to save performances after the song. It isn't an option. Could you let me know why this isn't showing up on Party Classics? Thanks!

Simple enough. When the song is done, press start, and you can save a "performance recording".
Then continue on two other songs.
You don't have to listen to your recording. Start it up, and just quit out, when it starts. Your achievement pops, when you start the third recording.

It HAS to be three different songs.
