I think what your supposed to do to get this, is physically knock the bananas into the path of humans walking by.

You can do this at the little corner grocery store with the older lady working it. There is a shelf with some bananas close to the street right there. Climb up and face the street with the bananas in front of you. As humans get closer, swipe the bananas down and watch them fall over themselves!

You do have to time this because the old lady will come and pick them up off the ground!

I do not know if actually taking the banana and dropping it in front of someone works, or even holding it in your mouth and tripping someone works. I tried both of these methods for a long time with luck. But I was able to get the above strat to work 3 times easily, and on my first try!

Simply pick up a banana from the grocer or convenience store and walk into a human while it's in your mouth. Be careful not to get caught by the shopkeeper

You can also place or slap a banana on the ground in front of citizens and wait for them to trip over

If the achievement isn't popping, close the game entirely and reopen. This fixes most bugs in the game

Had tons of troubles with this one, buggy for sure. But I finded a pretty reliable way to unlock it!
What it worked for me, was jumping on the fruit stand, waiting for someone to walk close to it, and then start to smash bananas trying to hit the person that was passing by. It worked several times.

Go to the old lady's mini market (the carrot in the centre of the map), climb onto the stall with the bananas next to the sleeping cat and simply kick (RT or LT) the bananas to make them fall on the road (without picking them up with X). This is the only technique that worked for me. And on the 1st try!

OK, finally managed to get this achievement after reading everything on here and loads of other bits online.

This was my final achievement in LK,BC, although not for the lack of trying - and may I just say, what an amazingly fun little game it is!

Anyway, after trying everything - picking the bananas up and deliberately dropping them in front of people who are focusing on their phones / knocking them off the greengrocers stall / knocking the banana onto the floor in the supermarket etc etc - I was almost ready to just give up and call it too bugged to bother, but decided to try one more thing.

I started a new game and ran straight through to the greengrocers again, got up on the banana bit, knocked one onto the floor and got it IMMEDIATELY - in fact two NPCs slipped over at the same time!

You don't need a hat on (I thought maybe the banana hat was the way to go, but no), nor any other tricks - just knock it off into the path of a passer-by.

So, if it's bugged, leave it until you've finished everything else, then start a new game and go straight to the greengrocers and grab that buggy little bastard!
