How to unlock the Millionaire Hunter achievement in Lollipop Chainsaw - Definitive Guide

This is achieved by picking up the zombie medals (gold) from:

1. Difficulty setting - Do this on HARD difficulty (after getting some moves unlocked). More named and health bar type of zombies available for group kills.
2. Kills - the more zombies killed in a group, the more coins received. Named and and health bar zombies killed in a group will even net more of a gold coin output, up to 99.
3. Destroy environment - there are groups of debris that will net gold coins. Recycle bins, logs, small potted trees, soda machines, tables, trash cans, port-a-potties.
4. Coins on the ground - there are a number of coins right in your path (and some tucked away) that are just waiting to be picked up.
5. Nick Shake - it is purchased through the store and is available as early as Stage 1 (maybe very beginning of Stage 2). What this does is allows you to use a 'Nick Card' to active the roulette selection. Time it just right and get the 'Nick Shake' action. It basically turns his head into a piggy bank and you have to shake the coins out. Couple things to note:

- 100 to 150 gold coins can be netted from PRECISE 'Y' button press. It is how in sync the 'Y' button is press with how often you press it. Meaning: try to press the button with the music as a tempo - you will see the difference in the shakes. Button mashing does not work here.
- You have to have a 'Nick Card' (Stage 1 intros the use of it) to activate the ability. Nine (9) cards can be held at once on any difficulty.
- There is a cool down timer on the use of this ability. I believe it to be every 5 minutes it refreshes OR when a cut screen happens (resets the timer).
- Wait to use in a cleared area. You want to only be concentrating on button press and not fighting or cut screen interruption (and if a cut screen interrupts, you lose that card, cool down is starts, and you lose a turn at coin collecting).

These are the ways of collecting GOLD coins, not platinum (they don't make a big enough impact on collecting to really count if they count towards the total anyways). Platinum coins are collected when multiple zombie decapitations (3 to 7 in a group) happen.

- 1 for a group of three
- 2 for a group of four
- 4 for a group of five
- 6 for a group of six
- 9 for a group of seven (max)

Good luck and please if you have a problem with this solution, post a comment or PM me ShutTheCakeHole directly and i'll fix.

10k collected in total. It will keep track of coins collected.

It's worth noting that coins collected in ranked matches count, even though they're not added to your stash; I got this during a ranked run of the prologue.

I found a good place to boost coins in the Arcade Level. In the area that is like "Elevator Action" where you are going up and down in the elevators in the sides and in and out the doors with the "A" button.

There is a section near the top where the floors is missing and you have a QTE to bounce across 4 zombies. Fail the QTE after you jump on purpose and run left into the elevator. Wait for the 4 zombies to stack up outside the door. You should be able to get a 3/4 Sparkle Kill very easily. Get on the elevator, go back up, they line up again.

I did have it glitch on me once and it took a minute or two before "B" appeared to initiate the QTE, but in half an hour last night on easy I ran up 800+ Gold and 70 Platinum medals.

As a note from trying it out, attack the zombies once after they line up outside the elevator doors, run back into the elevator and let them line up again then repeat. This'll help you get a Sparkle kill every time instead of a barrage of attacks hoping to get 3 or 4.

Lollipop ChainsawMillionaire HunterThe Millionaire Hunter achievement in Lollipop Chainsaw worth 67 pointsPick up 10,000 zombie medals.

Both solutions provided above are completely viable, however there is another medal farming method that is even more efficient! This is a Sparkle Hunting method using Nick Shake during the first part of Stage 5. It requires a little bit of skill and practice, but once you get it down, you'll be swimming in zombie medals! Just make sure you have already beaten Stage 5 at least once. This medal farming method will also require you to have Nick Shoot unlocked and the following settings:

Level: Stage 5 - Cathedral
Difficulty Setting: Hard
Required Items: 3 Nick Tickets

When the stage starts, drop down from the truck and take out the 12 zombies below. Shoot the explosive barrel and enter the Chop2Shop. Buy 3 or more Nick Tickets so that you can use Nick Shoot to set up sparkle kills. You can also use Star Soul mode (cn_RT) whenever you have it. Now proceed forward to the next section where Cordelia starts sniping enemies for you. Skip the cutscene with cn_start then cn_A.

There, you will then be facing a group of zombies. One of them will be holding a large desk (and have a purple health bar). Don't attack anything yet! First wait and allow more zombies to spawn from the back and join the group making it 13 enemies in total. Next, you'll want to get the 13 zombies bunched up together. Walk around in a small circle until they pile together with the health bar zombie. Get close to the group of zombies, click cn_LS and land on Nick Shoot (the sneaker icon). This attack should make the majority of the zombies groggy (just make sure the health bar zombie gets groggy). Position yourself so that you can take out the health bar zombie and 3+ other enemies and press cn_Y. You should get 75 to 99 gold zombie medals depending on how many zombies you kill in 1 swing. Then, proceed to sparkle kill any other remaining zombies for more medals.

After defeating the 13 zombies, move forward and 3 hazmat zombies will emerge. Do the same thing as before. Get all 3 of them to group up close together, groggy them with Nick Shoot, and kill all 3 in 1 swipe for another 99 gold zombie medals!

Right after kicking open the gate and hopping over some wreckage, you'll be in a parking lot section. Proceed to the other end. When the 60 second time limit starts, kill the 2 explosive zombies with your chainsaw blaster. Then walk back the way you came. A slew of zombies will spawn along with two special zombies named Bill and Christina. Once again, bunch them up, press cn_LS, and land on Nick Shoot to groggy the zombies. Press cn_Y for another 99 medals. You also have the option of killing Bill and Christina separately in their own group of 2+ other zombies to optimize your medal rewards from every cn_Y attack swing. Since you should have it by now, using Star Soul Mode here is also another option to net sparkle kills.

After that you need to reach a checkpoint so clear the next sections. Kill the 11 flying zombies, shoot down the helicopter, saw the car in half, and skip saving the student (optional). Just head straight for the back door. Proceed and wait for the red spinning checkpoint disc (on the right side of your screen). Pause then choose to quit out. Restart the stage and repeat. Make sure you get a checkpoint so you can keep your earned medals!

Once I had this down consistently, I was averaging 600+ medals each run. It does take some practice but it is much faster than grinding in the Stage 4 elevator section (which relies heavily on the zombies lining up properly for worthy results). With this method, I was able to purchase all the remaining Combos and Upgrades in a mere hour or so as well as purchase all the costumes (from all the earned platinum medals) I wanted because why not?

Note: There are other ways to groggy up the zombies such as Dropkick (cn_B, cn_X) or Hip Attack (Hold cn_X and release) but Nick Shoot can groggy more zombies at a time and is far more efficient and reliable.

Even better, with this grinding method, it will also make progress toward the two potentially grindy achievements of the game:

Lollipop ChainsawLove NickStyles PluralThe Love Nick achievement in Lollipop Chainsaw worth 43 pointsKissed Nick 100 times.

Lollipop ChainsawZombie Slayer?!Styles PluralThe Zombie Slayer?! achievement in Lollipop Chainsaw worth 75 pointsKill 3,000 zombies.

You earn Zombie Medals from destroyed objects, rescued classmates, minigames and of course, through zombie kills.

Most zombies won’t reward you with these medals, if you kill them one by one. This is where Sparkle Hunting comes into play. When you kill 3 or more zombies with a single strike, or at least in very short intervals between kills, you will see a special scene, where zombie heads fly into the air and their bodies explode because of sheer awesomeness and create seven colors of rainbow while reaching the stars (Yes, Sparkle Hunting is THAT cool!). This will enable you to earn medals, squared amount of zombies killed (i.e 4-Zombie SH = 16 Medals) during the action, in addition to Platinum Medals. If you add special named zombies or zombies with health bars into the mix, you will get increased special medal bonus. Unfortunately it caps at 99 medals.

You can also buy Nick Shake skill for Nick and select it during Nick Roulette, whenever you have a Nick Ticket. A timer will appear and you will need to mash face buttons (except ) to earn medals. This will also make several lollipops appear, so get them if you need health. You can earn at least 120 medals using this, but Nick Shake will become disabled until you reach next section of a stage.

A good place to farm zombie medals is the at the beginning of Stage 5. Start the stage and clear out the initial wave of zombies using Sparkle Hunting (you should know how awesome it is by now). Most zombies here will be strong and add a bonus to your Sparkle Hunting, increasing the medals you can earn. After clearing them out, walk pass the shop so the game saves, then quit back to the map screen and restart Stage 5. Repeat. (Credits to HYPURED33N3R for the method)

Another good place for zombie medal grinding, albeit more time consuming compared to the first method above, is during Stage 4. When you reach the Building Dungeon arcade game (the one like a 2D side scroller with elevators) you will eventually reach to a point, where you have to jump on the heads of 4 zombies using QTEs in order to progress. Instead of crossing the gap, choose to fail the first QTE so you can drop down and fight the zombies, then once you've defeated them, go back up the elevator again and repeat as necessary (you won't be able to pass this section until you succeed the QTEs). Try to perform Sparkle Hunting to get 9 or 16 medals each time. This method is much more of a grind compared to the other method, but at least there won't be any loading screens, so that might ease the pain.
