How to unlock the Just starting out achievement in Loop Hero - Definitive Guide
The Lich is the world boss for the first act. It will spawn on the campsite tile once enough other tiles have been placed on the map to fill the gauge on the top left delow the day time gauge,
When the lich spawns, it can also spawn up to 7 Lich's Palace Tiles in vacent spaces 1 tile in any direction around the campsite tile. Their function is to provide the Lich with (5% x Lich's Palace) extra health.
In future runs in the game, these won't pose much of a threat, but if you're reading this, then there's a fair chance you haven't beaten the Lich for your first time yet. You can prevent the spawn of these tiles by occupying the tiles around the camp before it triggers, these will then block the Palace tiles. Alternatively, you can use "oblivion" cards to outright destroy them before engaging the boss fight.
For your first go, take your time, chances are you won't have gotten the rogue class yet, so with the warrior, I would do a few loops looking to get equipment with the "Regen over time" perk, and fill the map with mountains (not rocks where possible) to get the maximum health bonus, I would also put down meadows and chrono crystals (ideal for blocking up some campsite tiles to prevent Palace tiles spawning, to increase healing.
You could also try and grind out things like the smithy to supply start kit to equip, which will reduce any initial health losses and keep it easier to stay at full health, the gymnasium would be good too, allowing access to 'Village' tiles to give health regen during the loop too as you pass them
