You don't have to get a complete set of any color to get this achievement. You'll need to play three investment cards in one color and then have most of the high-scoring cards for that color, but it's OK if you're missing some - you'll just need to make up the score in other colors by playing investment cards and high-scoring cards. I got 151 points across 4 colors. It took me about 70 games to get this achievement.
You'll need a little luck but this achievement is definitely achievable without a boosting partner if you're patient enough - and you'll have more of a sense of actual achievement (if you're into that sort of thing!).

This is easier with a boosting partner that can give you cards you’re missing. Making 150 points in a round is hard, and require more than a complete color with 3 development card. In fact, the 3 development card bonus gives x4 and starts at -80. So if you have every card of a color, you get 136 points. You still need 14 points on other colors. You must also win the 3-round game.
