Lost Judgment

To purchase skills, pull up Yagami's phone () and open the Skills app. For this achievement you'll need to unlock all 184 non-boxer skills.

You won't be able to get all skills until you reach the Finale.

***Skill Points***
Skills are unlocked using Skill Points (SP), which you can gain from pretty much anything - completing missions, playing minigames, fighting, dining, and chugging Hug Bombs. There are a few ways to increase your SP gain:

• Buy the Battle Bonus skills from the Stats tab as early as possible. These will cost 157,500 SP and will make you underpowered in the early game, but you'll thank me later.
• Complete the W. Shichifuku Poppo Squirrel Search and wear the Training Innerwear gear.
• After you've unlocked it, complete the Yokohama Liumang Gauntlet in The Gauntlet. A good strategy for this is to hold and spam in Tiger Style. At the third group of guys, use the Savage Slam Extract and spam to get your EX Gauge back. When that runs out, revert to using +. With the gauntlet done, you can pick up Training Long Pants from either detective agency mailbox. Wear those.
• Buy the Training Band from Ebisu Pawn Kamurocho for ¥78,000 and wear it.
• Buy the Secret Contacts from Kinka Pharmacy for ¥15,000 and wear it.
• When eating at restaurants, look for food with a green star in the top-left corner. These will temporarily boost your SP gain. The skills Lucky Gourmand (13,100 SP total) and Auspicious Gourmet (see below) will help with this.

Your performance in battle matters! You'll get bonuses based on how well you do. I recommend defeating at least one enemy with every style in every battle, if possible.

However, not all skills can be bought straight away. For some, you'll need to find the corresponding skill book first. Below I'll list the skill books and how to obtain them.

***Locked Skills***
- Main Cases (Semi-missable)
Pay attention in Chapters 2 and 12 as you can find skill books there. If you end up missing them, you can buy them later from a store, but they're quite expensive.

• Verge of Death: Wounded Tiger: In Chapter 2 there's a portion where you have to climb. From the moment you're hanging off the side of the roof, move to the right instead of progressing to the left. If you've missed this, it'll be available from Onodera's Wares for 3,500 SP.
• Dragon's Crushing Fist: In Chapter 12 you'll at some point interrogate a yakuza for two codes. In that same room is a safe, which you can open with the code 8010. If you've missed this, it'll be available from Xi Ying Tang for ¥78,000.

- Side Cases
Side Cases will unlock at various points in the story. They're optional, but the ones below do unlock skills:

• Verge of Death: Ravenous Snake: Complete Side Case 11: The Forbidden Taste, selected from the Yokohama 99 job board in Chapter 3 or later.
• EX Dagger Break: Complete Side Case 18: Chaos of the Masked Writer, selected from the Yokohama 99 job board in Chapter 5 or later.
• Auspicious Gourmet: Complete Side Case 31: Squirrels Just Wanna Have Fun, started just outside Seiryo High School in Chapter 5 or later.
• Verge of Death: Raptorial Spirit: Complete Side Case 34: My First Errand, selected from the Yokohama 99 job board in the Finale.

- The Gauntlet
True Crane Beast Slayer: When you unlock it in Chapter 11, complete Air Yagami in The Gauntlet (accessible from the main menu). Don't worry, this one's easy. Do a wall run run up the nearest wall and press to do a heavy attack. Rinse and repeat until all enemies are dead. With the gauntlet done, you can pick up this skill book from either detective agency mailbox.

- Cats
Cats will be available after completing Side Case 11. Go to the pawprint by the homeless camp. Call the cat by their correct name, then stare, pet or feed the cat. After that, move away until the pawprint appears on the minimap again and return to your feline friends.

• Verge of Death: Brink Strike: Max out your friendship with the white-orange cat.
• EX Sword Cyclone: Max out your friendship with the striped cat.

- Detective Dog
Take out your detective dog at a specific spot. As soon as it barks, follow it and it'll lead you to an item.

• EX Helper Hound: Found at the northwest corner of the intersection of Isobe Lane and Tsurukame Highway in Isezaki Ijincho.
• Elevated Roller: Found at the west side of Hills Garden in Kamurocho.

- Squirrel Search
Squirrel Search will be available after completing Side Case 31. Go to the location indicated and open investigation mode (). Focus on the drawing (+). The squirrel will be performing an action, which corresponds with which gadget you need to use. Following the trail will either lead you to treasure, or another clue.

• Verge of Death: Ardent Crane: On the path by the river next to Seiryo High School.
• Secret Technique: Hazy Throw: On the stairs at the south end of Sunrise St..
• EX Winding Cane: On a wall at the south end of Central St..
• White Snake Mastery: On the west side of Wette Kitchen in N Isezaki Rd..
• Flux Fissure: Inside Welcome Pharmacy, directly to the right after entering.
• EX Yielding Hammer: Inside MEB, on the door.
• Extract Virtuoso: Double: Across the street from Smile Burger in Kamurocho.
• Exalted Roller: In the parking lot east of Sushi Zanmai.

- Shops
These final skill books can be bought from shops, be it with money or another form of currency.

• Powerslide: Buy Skateboard Rocketeer at the Skater group for 35,000 Skate Points.
• Secret Technique: Twisting Viper: Buy the Book of the Slithering Snake: Vol. 1 at Ebisu Pawn Kamurocho for ¥30,000.
• Secret Technique: Defang: Buy the Book of the Slithering Snake: Vol. 3 at Onodera's Wares for 10,000 SP in Chapter 12 or later.
• EX De-Bludgeon: Buy Showa Duel Records: Man at a Batting Center for 2,000 Batting Points.
• EX Gun Riposte: Buy Showa Duel Records: Sky at Onodera's Wares for 3,500 SP in Chapter 12 or later.
• Bottomless Stomach Buy The Art of Gluttony at Onodera's Wares for 50,000 SP.
• Takedown Master: Buy Surprise Backhug at Coming Boon for ¥3,500.
• Extract Virtuoso: Conservative: Buy Ramblings of a Hermit at Open Road Shogi for 250 Shogi Points.
• High Roller: Buy the Unofficial VR Strategy Guide 2021 at Onodera's Wares for 100 SP.
