How to unlock the Defeated King Kelolon achievement in Lost Odyssey - Definitive Guide
After you acquire the White Boa take it and sail into the inland see in the middle of the world map. From there take the Nautilus and go trough an underwater passage to a crescent shaped lake in the middle of the mountains. There you will find the hidden Kelolon village and learn about the tournament that is about to commence. Cooke wants to enter and learn King Kelolon's white magic.
To qualify facing King Kelolon, Cooke must single handedly win several battles. Equip her with your strongest Kelolon ring and speak to the Kelolon in the middle of the pavilion to join the tournament. Cooke is prohibited from using magic or skills, but she may use items and attack.
Battle 1: Cooke will face off against 2 Kelolons at a time, a new one spawning when she kills one. They should go down in 1 hit or so. There will be about 8 Kelolons total. Rest & save afterwards, of course.
Battles 2-5: is a four round battle against several Kelolons, and a human pretending to be a Kelolon. Use the ring of your choice on him. When his HP gets low, he will call his wife into the battle. Take her out with a ground item. Next is the Level 99 Kelolon. He will fall in 3-4 hits. The final round is Mack, who also entered the tournament. After trouncing him, rest & save again.
Final battle, King Kelolon: The stakes for the battle are simple, win and get the strongest white magic in the land, loose and Cooke and Sarah must marry the king. It's good to be the king ;).
This battle is fought with the whole party, so equip your best fighters with Kelo rings and enhance them with powerus. The King has an ultimate attack, Divide, based on what is HP is, so the lower it is, the better for you. If it is below your HP, that is best. If you are strong enough, you may defeat him before he gets a chance to use his attack.
Win this battle and the achievement is yours, as well as money, the Kelonga Crown accessory and the white magic spell Divide.

Just a note about the second fight with the kelolon wannabe human. His wife flees when he dies. So chuck a Grounda bomb on him when his wife appears and he goes down without his wife ever gets to perform an action.
