How to unlock the Honeymoon Period achievement in LOST PLANET 2 - Definitive Guide

Simple. This is for playing LP2 six months after you first played it. Simply make a note of the date you first played it and then change your console date (under console settings) to exactly 6 months after. Make sure you are offline otherwise when you connect to live it will reset to the present date. Load up and when you press start on the title page it will pop.

Edit: As pointed out acheivement is called 'Honeymoon period'

True, but they should have set it so you can only get online (like they did for brothers in arms) if they wanted people to play this crap game in 6 months.

Couldn't you also set up you xbox for six months ago before you first play it and then connect to live so you can win it online?

Really poor making that kind of Achievement the bitchy way. Its one of the best games this year but highly underestimated.

For the record, it doesn't have to be the *exact* date 6 months later, as long as it's 6 months or more. I have a dummy account I use to try out new games with, and I got this one by setting the date forward by one year.
I plan to start playing this game for real shortly, and to earn this achievement the way it was intended: 6 months later.

I got this one early, but it was totally random. Didn't change my console date (look at when I earned it online :P)

I earned it the other day, legally. Hooray!

I can confirm Xystra's comment that it doesn't have to be 6 months *exactly*. I'm closer to 7 months after I first played it (or at least popped the first cheevo), and I was online. *Bleep Bloop*.

I know this is probably. Stupid question but of you get this achievement before 6 months of starting the game is there a chance of getting banned or gamerscore reset ?

Just a heads up that if you only played the campaign in the past split screen and were not the host, this won't pop even if you come back to it 11 years later...

If you are keen on having a time stamp on your achievement, and want it early due to your impatience lol, there is a very easy method!

1) Disconnect from the internet via the System Menu on the dashboard, and turn the date back to 1 year. Next load up Lost Planet 2.
2) Make yourself a new saved data on a configured USB or memory cartridge. Don't select your hard drive (assuming your real data is on your hard drive).
3) Once you create the new save, head back to the dashboard again and reconnect to Xbox Live.
4) Load up Lost Planet 2 again and select the memory stick with your new data.

Once on the menu screen, your achievement will immediately unlock, with a time stamp. :)

If you want to earn the 6 month Nom de Guerre for the real saved file, you can disconnect from Xbox Live and turn the date forward and load up the game. It won't corrupt the data at all.

Fantastic. This is easily the best solution.

It even works with the On Demand version! I assumed it wouldn't due to old DRM issues not letting me play arcade games offline, but it does! I was even considering buying a disk version just to get this early, but now I don't have to. :)

I don't have this one yet but all you have to do is play the game 6 months after you play it for the first time, you can check the exact date (even though you played it offline), by going to,
(true achievements) lost planet 2 - scroll down and on the page it'll have the date you first palyed it, (offline/online).

The trophy itself is pretty self explanatory it will pop up after 6 months from your first save or alternatively you can also load up the game get your save then quit and log off the psn and set your time and date settings to six months ahead and start up the game again and shortly after loading the games menu it will pop.

If you don't feel like waiting six months for this achievement, you can do the following:

-Unplug your xbox from Xbox Live (disconnect wire or disable wireless)
-From the dashboard go to... Myxbox > System Settings > Console Settings > Clock > Date and Time
-Adjust your clock to six months from now, or when you bought the game, doesn't matter
-Then just load up the game (still offline), load profile, achievement will pop after profile loads.

The achievement will unlock 6 months after the game is first launched on the console. For quite a long time, those who don’t want to wait have another way.
1. Unplug the power cord from the console.
2. Log into the game
3. Log out
4. Change the date in the console settings to the one that will be in six months.
5. Go back to the game and load your profile.
