How to unlock the Firefly Master achievement in Lucidity - Definitive Guide
There's a total of 2239 fireflies to be found throughout the game, but for this you'll ''only'' need to collect 1500. Each stage has approximately 30-70 fireflies to be gathered, but it's impossible to get them all in one go on pretty much every level, so get to know your stage and start going for the top most flies, or the bottom ones (whatever you're comfortable with) and work your way onwards.
NOTE: If you're planning on getting the 200G in this game, which one would assume if you're going for this, you will need to collect EVERY single firefly (Excluding the ones found in the final bonus level, which contains 128. So basically you'll need 2111 fireflies). So before you decide to proceed to the next level, it would be a good idea to go for 100% on your current level first. This will obviously greatly improve how you play as well (Read more on the 'Mastering the Underground' achievement guide displayed below).
On every stage, once you're down to your final 15 flies, you will get a blue arrow above your head, this shows the location of the remaining fireflies on that stage, which will greatly help in finding the more hidden ones.
There will also be bonus levels unlocking upon every 100 fireflies you collect (As indicated at the bottom of your world map), these can help you rack up your firefly count if you're having trouble on one of the main stages.
GENERAL TIPS:
*Fans can lift you through any obstacle in the world, even the ground you walk on. Only exception is the main/ unmovable road mostly placed around the level. This helps alot for gathering the trapped fireflies if you don't have a pipe bomb.
*Like Sofie's Nana says: ''If you happen to fail, get back on your feet, cause how can we learn from mistakes if we're too afraid to keep trying?'' This is very true, you will fail at multiple levels, this game depends on luck in several situations, but you'll learn to work around that once you get good at the game.
*There's checkpoints throughout the levels as well, and if you happen to die, all fireflies gathered up to that point will still be yours. So from a checkpoint, work out how you wanna continue, and what fireflies to go for. You'll also get a new loadout every time you revert to a checkpoint, so that could be good to keep in mind if there's a firefly right above you and you need, lets say, a fan.
*In the early levels, you can have Sofie walk up towards a wall/area that leaves her with no options of proceeding. This can help you think out your next move, and place objects in the path currently in sight. Once you reach the higher levels, stopping Sofie will still be one of your best moves, but now you'll have a dark presence closing up on you as you move. There's no need to panic as you'll have quite enough time to make a path before it reaches you. This though, is where luck really plays It's part. Sometimes you'll get exactly what you need, others you'll have to randomly place objects around you as you try to get your wanted piece.

just wondering, why would you need 2100 fireflies when the achievement reads collect 1500? also, there is no other achivement that requires you to collect every single firefly. am I missing something?

For this achievement you obviously just need 1500, but for the 'Master the Underground' achievement (Which is for beating every bonus mission) you will need to collect 2100 flies, simply because the final Bonus level requires that many flies to become available. I know this doesn't seem relevant when it comes to this specific achievement, but I just figured I'd leave that 'NOTE' in there so people know what they're getting into.

You do not have to collect all the fireflies in the game for this achievement to unlock, just 1,500 of them, so stick to the levels you find easier to maneuver around in and accumulate as many as you can. There's well over 1,500 if you also factor in bonus stages so if you just really concentrate on getting them, this shouldn't be a problem, especially since some stages, like the first couple and the very last, are pretty much free fireflies if you at least pay attention and use common sense.
