Worst achievment ever.The solver put me in a draw each time (6 times in a row right now).I can't even win once and i need to do it 5 times,really ?!?

I prefer a good hardcore achievement than this trash...

Than you‘re doing it wrong. Lost every time before, won every time with the solver except of one draw. Totally your fault.

Won every time using this solver. Those that are having trouble with the solver are likely using it wrong. Adjust the board size to match this game. 10x10 size. Copy the A.I. moves from the game into the solver. Whatever the A.I. in the solver does in response, you copy in the game itself.

Thanks for the guide, but this did not work for me personally. Always led to a draw. The way I did it is following Mister Hotspurs advice and just went aggressive and didn't bother really blocking the computer. Even if he had 4 in a row and I set up an open 4 myself he would try to block me before he tried to win. Made this achievement painless after realizing that.

I have done a lot of crap achievements but this is right up there. I am using the link provided (correctly) and currently on 6 drawn games in a row, I may get this achievement to pop just after the start of the new ice age at this rate.
Whilst I wouldn't down vote the guide is just stating a tool to use and not actually giving a guide on how to get the achievement efficiently

Only had 1 draw. If the opponent stars in the middle column you likely won’t win. Every other column I won no problem using the solver. Major up vote!

OdeToKoi That helped SO much! The solver works, but is mostly 5 minutes to get a draw. Tried just ignoring the AI completely and making my own lines elsewhere. You're right, he often gives up the win to chase your 4 and hand you the win. And each try takes like 10 seconds.

What happens if I have already completed the game? Its missable?

Received the first achievement. Never got the grand master after winning more then 5 x.

This achievement took me all of about 90 seconds. If you are struggling with it though, I recommend aiming to get 4 in a row with a clear space at both ends. Once you're there, you've won as they can only block one end. And be aggressive, the cpu is trying to block you rather than win so don't bother focussing on trying to block cpu moves.

I'm very tempted to give a negative vote but won't because the link you provided is very useful. However, you claim is not true. It doesn't give a "guaranteed win every time". I've played four matches using this link and have gotten two draws and two wins. Using this method is essentially one computer algorithm against another and has no guarantees. Therefore, as per a probability distribution, it's possible to win five times in a row, and it's also possible to draw five times in a row. Thus, the claim that it's a guaranteed win every time is not true; similarly, Basileus's abrasive claim that someone was using it wrong because they didn't win every time is also not true.
I don't think the above merits a negative vote; if you change your guide(s) to state that you will eventually win five times using the link provided as opposed to saying that you will win every time, I will give positive votes.
