How to unlock the Running Wild achievement in Mad Max - Definitive Guide

Death Runs are found throughout the map and look like a trophy cup with a skull face.

The best way I could find to track this was to look for a fuel can icon at each location. If that icon is present it means you have completed a race there. However only Barrel Bash, Time Bomb, and Scatter Race will count towards this achievement - the normal Magnum Opus event will not.

Make sure to do each race with the archangels available and you will also receive two other related achievements.

If the achievement(s) still won't unlock, make sure to check the special Rockstar event, current marked by a yellow star in the southern area of Gutgash's region.
Rockstar event was a limited time thing around launch.

You can get the gas cans by completing the Opus part of the race (race with your currently configured Opus against no enemies). Near as I can tell, this will say you are the winner and unlock refueling, but doe not count toward achievement.

this rockstar event that op mentioned does not show in the map, look after it in youtube it's located by the end of one road in the very south part of gutgash's. as dubear61 already mentioned always select the left kind of race in the death races menu, that's the one that counts.

I originally completed the Rockstar event at Summit of the Mighty but it did not count until I went back and completed the regular event.

Total of 15 Races ( you have to go to the one that has the STAR (Cannot Fast Travel)

Is this one buggy for anyone else, completed all of them including the rockstar event and its stuck on 97%, won't unlock when i redo a race, any suggestions

I’m having trouble getting this. Stuck at 46%. Back when I first played this game I did the opus wars and now I’m going back to do the left side races. I’m using archangels usually except with other mods equipped (such as max turbo boost, harpoon, thunderpoon, etc.) on them. Has anyone had any experience or tips?

On the map you will see some skull icons. This means at that point there is a Death Run.

Get up the stairs and choose the challenge (I suggest to take the left picture).

Complete all the Skull icons (after you complete succesfull there is a gastank icon on it) and the trophy is yours.

TIP: You can play fair an square. But this is the wasteland and only what matters is that you screw this guys up. So take your gun and shoot at the gas tank on the car. Its makes it alot easier for you.

There are a total of 15 Death Race locations that can be discovered as you travel through the territories. In order to unlock the trophy, you must participate in and win, one race at each location. It is recommended that you combine completion of this trophy with The Messenger.
