How to unlock the Downward Spiral Reawakening achievement in Mad Max - Definitive Guide
Some have said this doesn't unlock....be sure to let credits roll all the way to the end to get the story mission complete screen. Achievement and the interceptor car unlocks at that screen.

General Tips & Tricks
- An excellent source of scrap, although a rather random one, are the storms that occasionally pass through the zones. While dangerous, each storm contains 3 Muthaload crates that can be broken open and contain a total of 300 scrap each (450 when Max is fully upgraded) so if you are brave you can chase them down and retrieve up to 1350 scrap. These crates are represented on the mini-map by gold icons that that slowly move. Although they move around, you can use the harpoon to grab a crate and drag it to a safe location to break it open, or you can just wait until the storm ends and then safely drive to the crate locations to retrieve the scrap. The Muthaload crates do not automatically despawn when a storm ends, however if you move too far away from one the icon will disappear from the mini-map and the crate will no longer be available. Not surprisingly, there is a challenge related to gathering scrap from Muthaload crates, so be sure to get some as you play through the game.
- The areas in The Big Nothing where you take damage are considered storms so you can use these areas to get challenges done that require you to be in a storm. It's a lot faster than waiting for a storm to arrive. Be sure to fast travel out of The Big Nothing before you die, otherwise your challenge progress won't save.
- If you are needing to find a particular type of vehicle to destroy, it may be faster to win a Death Race that features this type of car so that it gets added to your Vehicle Collection. Once a vehicle is in your collection, you can take it out of a stronghold using , then summon the Magnum Opus or Archangel using the flare, then destroy the vehicle (or whatever you need to do). You can check which race rewards which car in your Vehicle Collection screen.
- Races can often be used to complete challenges that require enemy vehicles to be moving. If you abort the race by exiting the vehicle, then restart the race, you can keep repeating until you get your challenges done. As a bonus, your ammo does not deplete when restarting races.

This will unlock upon completing the fifteenth and final story mission, 'Paint My Name in Blood.'
Before proceeding with the final mission, I highly recommend upgrading the Thunderpoon to at least the second-last level (the one that gives the Thunderpoon an extra 50% damage). Having it upgraded this far makes the final mission a joke - you can destroy all cars in a single shot.
