This guide will focus on more of the tougher challenge because most of these challenges will come with ease and with progression through the game, I reccomend before moving on to the next area you have the vehicle specific ones for the area you are in done or nearly done before moving on.
IMPORTANT: Read the comments, there is some amazing help near the bottom, I will put a few comments in the guide but it would become too clustered if I put them all.
IMPORTANT: STICK IT TO YA CHALLENGE
(Note - This is said to be missable or really hard to get if you have completed the game and everything on the map, I suggest when you find a convoy you grind this challenge out immediately)
TIPS
Day Camel Challenge (How many times it takes)
For "10 day camel", the canteen holds 500 units of water. You have to fill it 60 times.
Fighting Multiple Enemies
I've found a way to never miss a counter. It will make you lose your combo, but will help a lot to defeat a lot of guys straight without getting hit. It's quite simple: just keep mashing
 + 
 (punch + counter) all the way. You'll lose you combo sequence after a few hits, but you'll never miss a counter, be careful about the red alert attacks, though. They can't be avoided with a counter and will make you lose your sequence if you don't dodge.
Obtaining Vehicles
Every vehicle can be found by doing the death races, the bio of each vehicle tells you where it is as well. Just complete the race and it's yours, job done. You can even farm challenges that require destroying a certain vehicle or faction by selecting it from a stronghold, drive out, then summon your magnum opus and blow the shit out of it.
Storm Challenges
This is for any storm related challenges and this is the easiest way to grind them out, storm challenges can be completed by driving another vehicle into the big nothing and destroying it with the magnum opus, This is much better then obviously waiting for an actual storm to happen since they are random.
Gut Shots (How to do them)
Gut shots are performed by holding the "fire weapon" button when you're right in the enemy's face. I believe this is the "B" button by default.

RULE THE DAY, TIRE POPPER, POINT AND SHOOT
This is a really easy way to unlock all these challenges:
FOUND MY RHYTHM
Found a really good spot for the annoying "Found my rhythm" 20-hit combo chain - In the Gutgash wasteland mission, Ironclad Faith, you enter the large tunnels in your car to get to the subway. Once you pass a few traps, arrive at the subway tracks & Max comments on it, drop down into the area & quickly pry open a container but be prepared for a charger enemy inside the container & another 4 regular guys will appear too. Dodge the charger attack & just use your lightattack on the others whilst parrying where necessary so as not to kill them too quickly & if you do it right once you've killed the last charger guy, you should be at 20-22 hits. If you fail just die or quit reload & you're back at the entrance to the tunnels.
STRANGERS ON A TRAIN CHALLENGE
Strangers on a Train is easy if you can get an unoccupied enemy vehicle. Get up side by side with one, turn the wheels away from the other car, then hold down "LT" By the time your car pops loose, you'll get the challenge.

THE ONE PERCENT CHALLENGE (Accumulate 45000 scrap)
Go up to a project in a stronghold and it'll say "track on map" once you do this the map will pop up and show you all the locations for that project, they're usually in a camp or scavenging location.
For scrap crew you automatically get the scrap from every scarecrow/vehichle you destroy in that strongholds terrirty instead of having to get out your vehichle.
RATTLING YOUR DRAGS CHALLENGE

This is a good location for grinding out the kills if you have done everything in the map, if you haven't then I reccomend when you goto a looting spot there will be like 4 enemies and you can kill them and goto another spot, this challenge is accumulative and can be done across 5 fights long as you don't get hit.

BUG EYE CRUSH CHALLENGE

The way i got this was by using enemy convoys, usually a enemy truck with 3 - 4 guys in the back will try to jump on your car. If you have all the spikes equipped they'll get killed, you can then simply fast travel to your stronghold and then drive back the enemies will respawn.
If you clear everything out on the map then please use the soloution below this.
FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE CLEAR THE MAP
Go to the Parch Moon area of the map and wait for night time. Buzzard boarder vehicles seem to have a higher chance of spawning under these conditions. That's the general consensus across multiple forum for the game and it definitely worked for me.
IN YOUR DREAMS CHALLENGE
Easy way to get this complete is to goto the death race called Heat Haze and use the car CarneWagon, after you win the race and unlock the car simply drive out the stronghold and call the magnum opus and destroy it using the thunderpoon and simply rince and repeat.

shows a super easy way to get Bug Eye Crush, and this camp can also be used for "Throw another on the Barbie" (Defeat 5 vehicles using the flame pipe from a Fire Raider, Flamergamer or Charbone) and State of Efficiency (Defeat 2 vehicles within 5 seconds of each other while driving the 'Kill Box" Archangel, 5 times). If doing this for the last two, just use the two parked buzzard vehicles. Then drive away until the location is removed from the minimap (the yellow 'dot') and then drive back. The vehicles will respawn. Rinse and repeat.

you can get everything but the challenge mentioned to be unobtainable...

I was struggling to complete the challenge for defeating 12 thugs in a row without getting hit, but I could easily achieve it using this method. If you have any Scroutu's Camp still active, just go there and you may have enough enemies to complete this challenge. Just be careful about the red alert attacks, though. They can't be avoided with a counter and will make you lose your sequence if you don't dodge...
I would've been to get both 
the game is 99,99999999% completeable (achievements wise) except for one out of what 300-400 challenges..? I don't get the level of stupidness that has gone in to that decision... #RantOver lol

I'm going to start by saying that the standing solution is pretty good but it lacks necessary information about e.g. the stuff you have to concern yourself the most about before cleaning up too much of the map.
It is important to note that none of the challenges are missable, but some of them become a lot harder post-completion. Some challenges are also glitchy. I personally had one insignia glitch at the very end of my 60 hours of playtime and I couldn't complete "Writing on the wall" or "Death on your doorstep", so I got screwed out of the achievement at the time. Others seem to have the most problems with scavenging locations being stuck on 190/191.If something glitches on you then there's nothing you can do but start the campaign over, because the developers have yet to release a patch addressing these problems.
As an aside, I finally managed to get this achievement almost six months after my original playthrough. The game had an update and I pored over all of the camps on the map looking for missing collectibles, noticing that The Edge (one of the camps closest to Chum's Hideout) all of the sudden was missing one scrap and one insignia. It is important to note that none of the challenges are missable, but some of them become a lot harder post-completion. Some challenges are also glitchy. I personally had one insignia glitch at the very end of my 60 hours of playtime and I couldn't complete "Writing on the wall" or "Death on your doorstep", so I got screwed out of the achievement at the time. Others seem to have the most problems with scavenging locations being stuck on 190/191.
As an aside, I finally managed to get this achievement almost six months after my original playthrough. The game had an update and I pored over all of the camps on the map looking for missing collectibles, noticing that The Edge (one of the camps closest to Chum's Hideout) all of the sudden was missing one scrap and one insignia. Trying to do some of these once you've done the game is next to impossible :( really don't want to start again.

Yeah, I did a bit of research when I started the game and it sounded a lot like endeavoring for cleaning up the map would mean I'd have a lot of problems with this achievement, which certainly seems to be the case.
I wanted to make sure I provided a list of "get these done before you reduce threat levels and destroy all the convoys" challenges, because once those are done you're free to do whatever you want in whatever order you want.

of course I'm referring to Chum's territory which is where I found my last spot (should point out that there's also a camp in the region that you get by normal game progression this is NOT the last spot) it's located just south of the northwest corner (or top left if you want) in Chum's region, I simply found it by following the road which get you close enough that it shows on the mini map, if it doesn't then just drive south from the top left corner just a few meters west of the road & you should get there ... it's a Buzzard camp underground ...

Can someone explain this to me please? What does "PARTLY discontinued/unobtainable mean? Either it is unobtainable or it isn't... I just picked this up cheap and was really enjoying it. I never dreamed that a 2 year old game would have a discontinued achievement due to server closure.

This achievement can not be unlocked anymore. One of the many, many "challenges" you had to complete for this one required a server connection, but Mad Max's server were shut down on the 31. Oct. 2020.
Soo... if you want this one, you'll have to download a save file or need to use a previous save (like I did).

Up to the Task Guide
Hello guys, I have put together this guide after playing the game, to share my experience. I’m not a native english speaker if you find it bizzarre, please contact me to rectify it.
I played the 1.06 patch version of the game and I have not experienced any issue with any challenges.
Challenges requires a bit of planning to achieve them smoothly and they are split in three types: Wasteland, Ground Combat and Vehicle Combat.
There are 144 challenges you need to complete in total, and only the ones that don’t have “completed x amount of times” under the description.
You need to play the main quest up to some point to unlock skills about Max and his vehicle.
The map is split in five parts and four of them show a threat level of 5 at beginning of the game. Doing activities decreases the threat level, just remember to don’t lower it under 3 and to ignore convoys (they are a great asset). Lowering the threat level means a decreasing of random encounters with enemy vehicles.
Wasteland Challenges
They are tied to some trophies so you’ll achieve them simply playing.
• Low Hanging Fruit - Complete 5 scavenging locations
• What's Yours is Mine - Complete 13 scavenging locations
• Picking the Carcass - Complete 18 scavenging locations
• Reaper of the Harvest - Complete 191 scavenging locations
There are in total 227 scavenging locations so I suggest you to start from the beginning to hunt them down. I double checked every single time in statistics and in legend and it went all smoothly. I first eliminated enemies then looted it without pressuring the autosave.

• Clearing the Fog - Reveal 3 regions by using balloons

Projects are looted inside Scrotus camps and scavenging locations, pretty simple to achieve.
• A Talkative Man - Speak with 8 Encounters in Jeet's territory
• Chatty Chatty - Speak with 11 Encounters in Gutgash's territory
• Bigmouth - Speak with 12 Encounters in Pink Eye's territory
• Making Friends in Gastown - Speak with 7 Encounters in Gastown
You will find enough people to speak with, inside the four territories. These people are denoted by a purple circle on the map.
• Don't spend it all in one Place - Collect 1000 scrap
• Metal Detector - Collect 10000 scrap
• The One Percent - Collect 45000 scrap
• Canary in a Coalmine - earn 1000 scrap from repopulated camps
• Sitting on a Goldmine - earn 10000 scrap from repopulated camps
• A Penny Saved - Earn 500 scrap from Scrap Crews
• Dividend - Earn 2000 scrap from Scrap Crews
• Trash is Treasure - Earn 500 scrap from Clean Up Crews
• Clean Sweep - Earn 2000 scrap from Clean Up Crews
Challenges about Clean Up Crews, Scrap Crews and repopulated camps need to be started as soon as possible and not beyond the first half main quest. These challenges will help toward collecting 56000 scrap (1000+10000+45000) and to achieve the two trophies about collecting scraps in your pocket.
• We Die to each other Daily - Kill 60 enemies from the Scrotus faction, either on foot or in a vehicle
• A Threat is a Threat - Kill 60 enemies from the Roadkill faction, either on foot or in a vehicle
• Silencing the Squawk - Kill 30 enemies from the Buzzard faction, either on foot or in a vehicle
• Major Blowout - Shoot 30 tires on moving vehicles with the Shotgun
• Set up us the Bomb - Destroy 50 red barrels
• Tentative Tastebuds - Eat 1 serving of maggots
• Flavour of the Month - Eat 6 cans of food
• Wasteland Gourmet - Eat 12 cans of food
• Happy Hour - Give water to 1 Wanderer
• Sticky Fingers - Open 5 containers or doors using the Jimmy Bar
• Pandora's Box - Open 10 containers or doors using the Jimmy Bar
• Behold, The Flying Fox - Use 30 zip lines
• Like a 10 day Camel - Fill the Canteen fully, 30 times (30000 drops)
• Tango in a Twister - Defeat 3 enemies, either on foot or in a vehicle, while in a storm
• 2 are better than 4 - Destroy 5 moving vehicles while on foot
• What are the Chances - Collect 3 boxes of scrap from Muthaloot crates
• Amateur Archaeology - Pull 1 buried vehicle out of the sand with the harpoon
You need to look out for “Major Blowout” while in Jeet’s territory and races are the best place to earn it.
“Sticky Fingers” and “Pandora's Box” you need to buy right at the start the Jimmy Bar in the Max menu.
“Tango in a Twister” and “What are the Chances” are linked to sandstorm. You need to eliminate 3 enemy vehicles while in a sandstorm (not in one try); Muthaloot crates can be looted at the end of a sandstorm (not in one try). Sandstorm are random with mild regularity.
All you need to do is survive in a sandstorm eliminate enemy vehicles if there is a chance and loot Muthaloot crates when it ends.
Ground Combat Challenges
Combat system resembles a bit Batman Arkham series, Square attack, Triangle counter, there are finishers. You can use melee weapons, your shotgun and there is a fury mode that slow down time a little.
• As vicious as a Bandicoot - Defeat 5 enemies by impaling them with a Thunderstick
You will find Thunderstick inside Scrotus camp and some Balloon points.
• Laying the Smackdown - Kill 100 enemies in melee combat
• Suckerpunched - Perform 10 Gut Shot kills using the Shotgun
• Swing Batter Batter! - Defeat 5 enemies with a melee weapon
• Slam Dunked! - Perform a Fury Finisher on 15 enemies
• Bone Crunching - Defeat 10 enemies with a melee weapon
• Peace Pact - Disarm 5 enemies
• Rendered Defenseless - Disarm 10 enemies
Disarming enemies requires two skill “Reversal” and “Master Melee Reversal” buyable in the skills section of the Max menu.
• Slow Burner - Fill the Fury meter in 60 seconds or less
• Measured Savagery - Fill the Fury meter in 50 seconds or less
• Feeding Frenzy - Fill the Fury meter in 40 seconds or less
• Rage against the Meter - Fill the Fury meter in 30 seconds or less
• A taste for Violence - Fill the Fury meter in 20 seconds or less
• Rattling your Dags - Fill the Fury meter in 10 seconds or less
• Unstoppable - Kill 8 enemies in melee combat during 1 Fury Mode
You need to upgrade Max in the Max menu and upgrade Fury Mode with Griffa coins
which increases Fury Mode duration. Fury meter fill up every time you defeat enemies so going into camps with a meter almost filled will help greatly with “A taste for Violence” and “Rattling your Dags”.
“Unstoppable” requires to make it easy an half upgraded Max and a significative increase of Fury Mode. I achieved it on my fourth try inside a camp, just make use of shotgun, blunt weapon and finisher and try to go inside a camp with your Fury meter half filled. Someone may find it tougher right at the start, so just stay away from camps and focus on the main quest, side quest, sub quest, balloon points and scavenging points.
• Fists of Fury - Perform a combo chain of 15 or above
• Found my Rhythm - Perform a combo chain or 20 or above
They are are in the middle range in term of difficulty. You need to upgrade Max and get some familiarity with the combat system; there are many chances of achieving these two challenges during the main quest, sub quest a sub-activities.
I made them on my first try with a combo chain of 36 hits. Having experience with Batman Arkham series or Shadow of Mordor/War will greatly help.
• Untouchable - Defeat 8 enemies in melee combat in a row without taking any damage.
• Unbreakable - Defeat 12 enemies in melee combat in a row without taking any damage
They are easier than they appear, you need to defeat 12 enemies in a row without being hit but you don’t need to do it in a single encounter. It means you can plan how to achieve it (multiple battle, random encounters, Scrotus camps alone, scavenging points).
• Unstoppable - Kill 8 enemies in melee combat during a Fury Mode
It requires to upgrade Fury Mode to maximum visiting Griffa. You need to kill eight enemies in a single Fury Mode, so you need Fury meter more than half filled at the beginning of a battle. Camps are good choices to achieve it.
Vehicle Combat Challenges
The Vehicle Combat Challenges requires to destroy vehicles from a specific faction or a specific vehicle.
The X button of your DS4 will activate special attack of enemy cars when you’re driving them.
Scrotus vehicles are common with a high threat level, they are find in convoys so until you don’t destroy the leading vehicle they respaw indefinitely.
Roadkill are common to meet and they can be found in races so they are the perfect farming point.
Buzzard can be meet only at night time so you need to go around at night time. There are a couple of quest that will help in destroying buzzard vehicles.
Some challenges requires to posses a specific car or destroy a specific car. You can obtain cars winning races. At every race location you can choose among 2-4 specific vehicles, just choose a car, win the race and you’ll find it inside your garage (inside the collectibles menu you can view all the car owned by you).
This way you can obtain vehicles needed for destroying a set amount of enemy vehicles or vehicles needed for challenges involving Archangels. “Chicken Soup” challenge is an example of how to deal with some Archangels challenges.
Races and convoys will greatly help with many challenges
• Roadkiller - Defeat 10 Roadkill vehicles by any means
• Up the Ante - Defeat 50 Roadkill vehicles by any means
• Pup of War - Defeat 10 Scrotus vehicles by any means
• Dog of War - Defeat 50 Scrotus vehicles by any means
• Expeller - Defeat 5 Buzzard vehicles by any means
• Banisher - Defeat 20 Buzzard vehicles by any means
• Safe Sex - Defeat 6 vehicles by grinding
• Ridin' Shotgun - Shoot 10 drivers with the Shotgun
• Pit Stop - Pull 5 tires from moving vehicles using the Harpoon
• Bang for the Buck - Destroy 15 vehicle mounted fuel tanks with the Shotgun
• Here's the Big Chief - Defeat 3 Scrotus vehicles with a V8 engine installed
• Thorn in your Side - Defeat 5 vehicles by T-boning
• Nudge Nudge - Defeat 5 vehicles using the Side Ram
• Where There's Thunder - Defeat 10 vehicles using the Thunderpoon
“Pit Stop” requires a level 4 Harpoon so you need to upgrade the harpoon before trying this challenge.
“Safe Sex”, Look at the “Keep it Clean” challenge.
• Bullheaded - Defeat 12 vehicles going head to head while using Boost
• Tire Popper - Shoot out 2 tires on a moving vehicles using the Sniper Rifle
• Point and Shoot - Shoot out 2 fuel tanks on moving vehicles using the Sniper Rifle
• Strangers on a Train - Maintain grinding contact for at least 5 seconds, 1 time
“Bullheaded” counts unmoving vehicles so just ram head to head while using Boost. You will often meet people that need to fix their car, just make use of them.
• Two can play that game - Defeat 3 enemy vehicles while driving a Skullbutts
• Sparks will fly - Defeat a Sideblender or Metal Grinder while driving a Sideblender or Metal Grinder
• My Little Friend - Defeat 3 vehicles while driving the Buggy
• Scrotus Kebab - Defeat 1 Scrotus vehicle while driving a Prickles
• Bug Eye Crush - Defeat 1 Buzzard vehicle while driving a Crusher
• Offshoot - Without using a Wasteland Jump, achieve 2 seconds of air time while driving the Buggy, 3 times
• Throw another on the Barbie - Defeat 5 vehicles using the flame pipe from a Fire Raider, Flamergamer or Charbone
• Signed and Sealed - Destroy 1 vehicle using explosives from a Drop Kicker
• Bug Killer - Defeat an enemy, either on foot or in a vehicle, by driving a Kaboom Bug and using its explosion
• Kill Twitch - Shake 10 jumpers off the Magnum Opus without using a weapon
• Morrison Effect - Defeat 3 vehicles in a storm while driving the Magnum Opus
• Chicken Soup - Defeat 5 Rammerhead or Skullbutt vehicles by ramming head to head with the level 5 "Clawjaw Kill Grill"
• In your Dreams - Defeat 3 Boarder vehicles with the Thunderpoon
• Stick It To Ya - Kill 15 enemies using Boarder Spikes
Skullbutts, Prickles, Crusher, Fire Raider or Flamergamer or Charbone, Drop Kicker, Rammerhead all of these vehicles can be obtainied winning races. You can play a race with a set of 2-4 cars given by the game, if you win the race the car will be added to your garage and freely to use. Unmoving vehicles encountered randomly will make easy target for some of these challenges.
“Bug Killer” can be done in the race where you can choose a Kaboom Bug. Right at the start of the race press X on your DS4 e select continue and the challenge will be done.
“Morrison Effect”, simply you need to destroy three enemy vehicles while in a storm but not necessarily in the same storm.
“In your Dreams”, boarder vehicles are find in convoys especially in Gutgash's territory. They have enemies in the back who try to jump onto your car when you’re side to side to them.
“Chicken Soup” can be done using Archangel “Jugger of Virtue". After obtaining a rammerhead through a race, you’ll find it inside your garage. Select the rammehead and you’ll find yourself out of the stronghold, let’s call for Chums with the right button and your vehicle will appear, in the garage menu built up Archangel “Jugger of Virtue" and destroy the rammerhead.
“Stick It To Ya” can be done using a buzzard vehicle. Inside Gutgash's territory convoys have boarder vehicles. When enemies in the back try to jump onto your car sidestep a little bit and they will be impaled on your vehicle spikes.
• Smite the Heathens - Destroy 15 Roadkill vehicles while driving the "Jugger of Virtue" Archangel
• Smite the Wicked - Destroy 15 Scrotus vehicles while driving the "Jugger of Virtue" Archangel
• Smite the Demons - Defeat 15 Buzzard vehicles while driving the "Jugger of Virtue" Archangel
• Backdraft - Defeat 2 Fire Raiders while driving the "Sanguine Guardian" Archangel
• Rule the Day - Shoot 2 fuel tanks on moving vehicles using the Sniper Rifle, while driving the "Rule of War" Archangel
• Angel Without Wings - Without using a Wasteland Jump, catch 3 seconds of air time while driving the "Lord Gravel" Archangel, 1 time
• State of Efficiency - Defeat 2 vehicles within 5 seconds of each other while driving the "Kill Box" Archangel, 5 times
• Let's be overly Specific - Defeat 1 vehicle in a storm while driving the "Aurelian the Ready" Archangel
• Holy Rolling - Defeat 12 vehicles by ramming while driving the "Radiant Shadow" Archangel

Challenges about Clean Up Crews, Scrap Crews and repopulated camps need to be started as soon as possible and not beyond the first half main quest. These challenges will help toward collecting 56000 scrap (1000+10000+45000) and to achieve the two trophies about collecting scraps in your pocket.
• We Die to each other Daily - Kill 60 enemies from the Scrotus faction, either on foot or in a vehicle
• A Threat is a Threat - Kill 60 enemies from the Roadkill faction, either on foot or in a vehicle
• Silencing the Squawk - Kill 30 enemies from the Buzzard faction, either on foot or in a vehicle
• Major Blowout - Shoot 30 tires on moving vehicles with the Shotgun
• Set up us the Bomb - Destroy 50 red barrels
• Tentative Tastebuds - Eat 1 serving of maggots
• Flavour of the Month - Eat 6 cans of food
• Wasteland Gourmet - Eat 12 cans of food
• Happy Hour - Give water to 1 Wanderer
• Sticky Fingers - Open 5 containers or doors using the Jimmy Bar
• Pandora's Box - Open 10 containers or doors using the Jimmy Bar
• Behold, The Flying Fox - Use 30 zip lines
• Like a 10 day Camel - Fill the Canteen fully, 30 times (30000 drops)
• Tango in a Twister - Defeat 3 enemies, either on foot or in a vehicle, while in a storm
• 2 are better than 4 - Destroy 5 moving vehicles while on foot
• What are the Chances - Collect 3 boxes of scrap from Muthaloot crates
• Amateur Archaeology - Pull 1 buried vehicle out of the sand with the harpoon
You need to look out for “Major Blowout” while in Jeet’s territory and races are the best place to earn it.
“Sticky Fingers” and “Pandora's Box” you need to buy right at the start the Jimmy Bar in the Max menu.
“Tango in a Twister” and “What are the Chances” are linked to sandstorm. You need to eliminate 3 enemy vehicles while in a sandstorm (not in one try); Muthaloot crates can be looted at the end of a sandstorm (not in one try). Sandstorm are random with mild regularity.
All you need to do is survive in a sandstorm eliminate enemy vehicles if there is a chance and loot Muthaloot crates when it ends.
Ground Combat Challenges
Combat system resembles a bit Batman Arkham series, Square attack, Triangle counter, there are finishers. You can use melee weapons, your shotgun and there is a fury mode that slow down time a little.
• As vicious as a Bandicoot - Defeat 5 enemies by impaling them with a Thunderstick
You will find Thunderstick inside Scrotus camp and some Balloon points.
• Laying the Smackdown - Kill 100 enemies in melee combat
• Suckerpunched - Perform 10 Gut Shot kills using the Shotgun
• Swing Batter Batter! - Defeat 5 enemies with a melee weapon
• Slam Dunked! - Perform a Fury Finisher on 15 enemies
• Bone Crunching - Defeat 10 enemies with a melee weapon
• Peace Pact - Disarm 5 enemies
• Rendered Defenseless - Disarm 10 enemies
Disarming enemies requires two skill “Reversal” and “Master Melee Reversal” buyable in the skills section of the Max menu.
• Slow Burner - Fill the Fury meter in 60 seconds or less
• Measured Savagery - Fill the Fury meter in 50 seconds or less
• Feeding Frenzy - Fill the Fury meter in 40 seconds or less
• Rage against the Meter - Fill the Fury meter in 30 seconds or less
• A taste for Violence - Fill the Fury meter in 20 seconds or less
• Rattling your Dags - Fill the Fury meter in 10 seconds or less
• Unstoppable - Kill 8 enemies in melee combat during 1 Fury Mode
You need to upgrade Max in the Max menu and upgrade Fury Mode with Griffa coins
which increases Fury Mode duration. Fury meter fill up every time you defeat enemies so going into camps with a meter almost filled will help greatly with “A taste for Violence” and “Rattling your Dags”.
“Unstoppable” requires to make it easy an half upgraded Max and a significative increase of Fury Mode. I achieved it on my fourth try inside a camp, just make use of shotgun, blunt weapon and finisher and try to go inside a camp with your Fury meter half filled. Someone may find it tougher right at the start, so just stay away from camps and focus on the main quest, side quest, sub quest, balloon points and scavenging points.
• Fists of Fury - Perform a combo chain of 15 or above
• Found my Rhythm - Perform a combo chain or 20 or above
They are are in the middle range in term of difficulty. You need to upgrade Max and get some familiarity with the combat system; there are many chances of achieving these two challenges during the main quest, sub quest a sub-activities.
I made them on my first try with a combo chain of 36 hits. Having experience with Batman Arkham series or Shadow of Mordor/War will greatly help.
• Untouchable - Defeat 8 enemies in melee combat in a row without taking any damage.
• Unbreakable - Defeat 12 enemies in melee combat in a row without taking any damage
They are easier than they appear, you need to defeat 12 enemies in a row without being hit but you don’t need to do it in a single encounter. It means you can plan how to achieve it (multiple battle, random encounters, Scrotus camps alone, scavenging points).
• Unstoppable - Kill 8 enemies in melee combat during a Fury Mode
It requires to upgrade Fury Mode to maximum visiting Griffa. You need to kill eight enemies in a single Fury Mode, so you need Fury meter more than half filled at the beginning of a battle. Camps are good choices to achieve it.
Vehicle Combat Challenges
The Vehicle Combat Challenges requires to destroy vehicles from a specific faction or a specific vehicle.
The X button of your DS4 will activate special attack of enemy cars when you’re driving them.
Scrotus vehicles are common with a high threat level, they are find in convoys so until you don’t destroy the leading vehicle they respaw indefinitely.
Roadkill are common to meet and they can be found in races so they are the perfect farming point.
Buzzard can be meet only at night time so you need to go around at night time. There are a couple of quest that will help in destroying buzzard vehicles.
Some challenges requires to posses a specific car or destroy a specific car. You can obtain cars winning races. At every race location you can choose among 2-4 specific vehicles, just choose a car, win the race and you’ll find it inside your garage (inside the collectibles menu you can view all the car owned by you).
This way you can obtain vehicles needed for destroying a set amount of enemy vehicles or vehicles needed for challenges involving Archangels. “Chicken Soup” challenge is an example of how to deal with some Archangels challenges.

• Safe Sex - Defeat 6 vehicles by grinding
• Ridin' Shotgun - Shoot 10 drivers with the Shotgun
• Pit Stop - Pull 5 tires from moving vehicles using the Harpoon
• Bang for the Buck - Destroy 15 vehicle mounted fuel tanks with the Shotgun
• Here's the Big Chief - Defeat 3 Scrotus vehicles with a V8 engine installed
• Thorn in your Side - Defeat 5 vehicles by T-boning
• Nudge Nudge - Defeat 5 vehicles using the Side Ram
• Where There's Thunder - Defeat 10 vehicles using the Thunderpoon
“Pit Stop” requires a level 4 Harpoon so you need to upgrade the harpoon before trying this challenge.
“Safe Sex”, Look at the “Keep it Clean” challenge.
• Bullheaded - Defeat 12 vehicles going head to head while using Boost
• Tire Popper - Shoot out 2 tires on a moving vehicles using the Sniper Rifle
• Point and Shoot - Shoot out 2 fuel tanks on moving vehicles using the Sniper Rifle
• Strangers on a Train - Maintain grinding contact for at least 5 seconds, 1 time
“Bullheaded” counts unmoving vehicles so just ram head to head while using Boost. You will often meet people that need to fix their car, just make use of them.
• Two can play that game - Defeat 3 enemy vehicles while driving a Skullbutts
• Sparks will fly - Defeat a Sideblender or Metal Grinder while driving a Sideblender or Metal Grinder
• My Little Friend - Defeat 3 vehicles while driving the Buggy
• Scrotus Kebab - Defeat 1 Scrotus vehicle while driving a Prickles
• Bug Eye Crush - Defeat 1 Buzzard vehicle while driving a Crusher
• Offshoot - Without using a Wasteland Jump, achieve 2 seconds of air time while driving the Buggy, 3 times

• Signed and Sealed - Destroy 1 vehicle using explosives from a Drop Kicker
• Bug Killer - Defeat an enemy, either on foot or in a vehicle, by driving a Kaboom Bug and using its explosion
• Kill Twitch - Shake 10 jumpers off the Magnum Opus without using a weapon
• Morrison Effect - Defeat 3 vehicles in a storm while driving the Magnum Opus
• Chicken Soup - Defeat 5 Rammerhead or Skullbutt vehicles by ramming head to head with the level 5 "Clawjaw Kill Grill"
• In your Dreams - Defeat 3 Boarder vehicles with the Thunderpoon
• Stick It To Ya - Kill 15 enemies using Boarder Spikes
Skullbutts, Prickles, Crusher, Fire Raider or Flamergamer or Charbone, Drop Kicker, Rammerhead all of these vehicles can be obtainied winning races. You can play a race with a set of 2-4 cars given by the game, if you win the race the car will be added to your garage and freely to use. Unmoving vehicles encountered randomly will make easy target for some of these challenges.
“Bug Killer” can be done in the race where you can choose a Kaboom Bug. Right at the start of the race press X on your DS4 e select continue and the challenge will be done.
“Morrison Effect”, simply you need to destroy three enemy vehicles while in a storm but not necessarily in the same storm.
“In your Dreams”, boarder vehicles are find in convoys especially in Gutgash's territory. They have enemies in the back who try to jump onto your car when you’re side to side to them.
“Chicken Soup” can be done using Archangel “Jugger of Virtue". After obtaining a rammerhead through a race, you’ll find it inside your garage. Select the rammehead and you’ll find yourself out of the stronghold, let’s call for Chums with the right button and your vehicle will appear, in the garage menu built up Archangel “Jugger of Virtue" and destroy the rammerhead.
“Stick It To Ya” can be done using a buzzard vehicle. Inside Gutgash's territory convoys have boarder vehicles. When enemies in the back try to jump onto your car sidestep a little bit and they will be impaled on your vehicle spikes.
• Smite the Heathens - Destroy 15 Roadkill vehicles while driving the "Jugger of Virtue" Archangel
• Smite the Wicked - Destroy 15 Scrotus vehicles while driving the "Jugger of Virtue" Archangel
• Smite the Demons - Defeat 15 Buzzard vehicles while driving the "Jugger of Virtue" Archangel
• Backdraft - Defeat 2 Fire Raiders while driving the "Sanguine Guardian" Archangel
• Rule the Day - Shoot 2 fuel tanks on moving vehicles using the Sniper Rifle, while driving the "Rule of War" Archangel
• Angel Without Wings - Without using a Wasteland Jump, catch 3 seconds of air time while driving the "Lord Gravel" Archangel, 1 time
• State of Efficiency - Defeat 2 vehicles within 5 seconds of each other while driving the "Kill Box" Archangel, 5 times
• Let's be overly Specific - Defeat 1 vehicle in a storm while driving the "Aurelian the Ready" Archangel
• Holy Rolling - Defeat 12 vehicles by ramming while driving the "Radiant Shadow" Archangel
• Keep it Clean - Defeat 5 vehicles by grinding while driving the "Cardinal Grinder" Archangel
• Gum Shoe - Defeat 1 vehicle from Stank Gum's battalion while driving the "Soul Sweeper" Archangel
• Please Drive Faster - Maintain full cruising speed for 1.9 miles (3058m) while driving the "Righteous Spike" Archangel
Fire Raiders can be obtainied winning a race.
“Angel Without Wings”
“State of Efficiency”, simply you need to do the specific race for "Kill Box" Archangel five times. Right at the start of the race destroy two vehicles with the Thunderpoon, do it five times and the challenge is your’s.
“Keep it Clean”, the "Cardinal Grinder" Archangel make grinding pretty easy. You can make use of convoys or race. I highly suggest to achieve the “Safe sex” challenge too.
“Gum Shoe”, Stank Gum's battalion can be found inside Deep Friah’s territory.
“Please Drive Faster”

This is not a guide, but rather a warning! The Bigmouth challenge is also missable, if you leave all of the encounters late game, after completing the story and reducing the threat in Pink Eye's territory. Unfortunately one the encounters when a dying wastelander asks you to bring the info to pink eye is not counting toward to the challenge progress and it was stuck at 11/12 for me. I highly recommend you to speak with every available encounter after doing main and side missions!

Not a solution, just a warning. This achievement bugged out for me and some others on the Steam forums, where it didn't unlock once the challenges were completed. I would recommend having multiple backup saves for use in case this happens.

*Warning* While this achievement is technically not missable, there are multiple challenges that are much more difficult and/or time consuming to try to complete after you've eliminated all threat from the entire map. Note that completing the story and wasteland missions doesn't matter at all, so feel free to complete them right away. But I highly recommend reading through this achievement solution before lowering the threat in regions.
Note: An online connection is required for the challenge related to earning scrap from your scrap crew (A Penny Saved/Dividend). No other challenges require an online connection.
There are a total of 144 non-repeating challenges that need to be completed to unlock this achievement. Challenges are viewed from the Legend tab when you pause the game. When viewing challenges, some will have "Completed X Times" written under them. These are repeating challenges and have no bearing on this achievement (nor any other achievements) and can therefore be ignored entirely if you wish. As noted above, while none are missable, there are many that are far easier to obtain during various points of progression, and especially while convoys are still available on the map.
Here are the challenges that should be given high priority:
- Trash Is Treasure/Clean Sweep (Earn 500/2000 scrap from cleanup crews) - make sure you complete the Cleanup Crew project in all strongholds right away so you start working on this ASAP.
- A Penny Saved/Dividend (Earn 500/2000 scrap from scrap crews) - just like above, complete the Scrap Crew projects immediately. NOTE that this challenge requires an online connection (must be connected when you quit the game and then when you reload it, so it knows how many hours the game was off).
- Stick It To Ya (Kill 15 enemies using boarder spikes) - convoys in Gutgash's territory are the best place to reliably get boarder vehicles to spawn. Equip boarder spikes as soon as they're available for purchase and immediately grind out this challenge by driving alongside Gutgash convoys. Fast travel away to a stronghold and drive to the convoy again to repeat, ensuring you don't destroy the lead vehicle.
- In Your Dreams (Defeat 3 boarder vehicles with the Thunderpoon) - same as above except use the Thunderpoon
- Kill Twitch (Shake 10 boarders off without using a weapon) - same as above, and while doing the above you'll assuredly will get enemies that actually jump to and land on your vehicle. Swerve around and boost to fling them off
- Morrison Effect (Defeat 3 vehicles in a storm) - storms are pretty rare, so when one approaches, make a beeline to the nearest convoy and destroy vehicles with the Thunderpoon while in the storm
- Pup Of War/Dog Of War (Destroy 10/50 Scrotus vehicles) - Scrotus vehicles are eliminated from a region when you remove all threat, so make sure you have this done before removing the last of the threat
- Scrotus Kebab (Defeat a Scrotus vehicle with the Prickles) - as above, Scrotus vehicles are gone once you remove all threat. Before removing all threat, unlock the Prickles car (Win the Chalkies death race with it) and then head to a convoy with it to destroy a vehicle
- Smite The Wicked (Destroy 10 Scrotus vehicles with the Jugger Of Virtue Archangel) - same as above but with the Jugger
- Gum Shoe (Defeat a Stank Gum vehicle with the Soul Sweeper Archangel) - the Stank Gum vehicles are only in Deep Friah's little territory. Make sure you don't remove all threat there until completing this challenge, as they're harder to find afterward
Of all the remaining challenges, a majority of them will come with natural completion of the other achievements, and/or are easy enough to plan out and do whenever during your playthrough, and so don't require any explanation. Roadkill vehicles are all of the ones you're up against during death races, Buzzard vehicles are the spiky ones that come out at night, and convoys and death races are the best places to grind out challenges related to gas tanks, shooting drivers, pulling off tires, etc. Here are some tips for some that won't come naturally or aren't so obvious.
- As Vicious As A Bandicoot (Impale 5 enemies with the thunder stick) - fast travel to Pink Eye's stronghold, then drive east to the Rot N Rusties Vantage Outpost. On the way, vehicles will assuredly chase you. Lead them to the Outpost, hop out, and you'll find a thunder stick on the right after going up the first set of stairs. Use it to kill the enemies when they hop out of their cars
- Rattling Your Dags (Fill the Fury Meter in 10 seconds or less) - you'll need to fully upgrade Fury with Griffa tokens to stand a chance with this. You obviously can't get hit during your combo either. The fastest way to increase your Fury meter is to do special finishers, such as shiv finishers. A reliable place to attempt this is the location of the Water project part in Deep Friah's territory. There are a ton of enemies that respawn when you fast travel away
- Unstoppable (Kill 8 enemies in one Fury mode) - same as above. Use finishers with shivs or shotgun shots to finish enemies fast once Fury activates
- Tire Popper/Point And Shoot/Rule The Day (shoot two tires, fuel tanks, and tires as Rule Of War, all with the sniper rifle) - these three are easiest done during the death race where you play as Rule Of War. As soon as the race starts, switch to your sniper rifle and fire at the gas tank or tires of the car in front of you. Exit your car to fail and restart the race to try again
- Behold, The Flying Fox (Use 30 zip lines) - if you don't have this by the time you finish everything else, fast travel to an ally camp and you can use the same zip line over and over
- What Are The Chances (Collect 3 boxes of scrap from Muthaloot crates) - these crates only appear during storms, and they are gold icons on your minimap. For the challenge, you need to loot three items, not the entirety of three large crates. You'll notice that when you break open a Muthaloot crate, there are three lootables inside. Loot all three for the challenge. You can try harpooning a crate to drag it out of a storm but I had zero success with that. Instead, find a nearby scavenging location with cover to wait out the storm, then go get any nearby crates.
- Suckerpunched (Perform 10 gut shots) - after you buy the skill you may be wondering how to use it. You need to be right next to an enemy and press
. This works on every enemy type aside from Top Dogs/bosses. - Found My Rhythm (Perform a combo chain of 20 or more) - since you can't cancel your attack with countering in this game, this can be tough. You'll want to always wait a second between attacks to check for an attacking enemy. This may take a bit of practice, but counterintuitively, the more upgraded you are and stronger you are, the easier this is to do
- Unbreakable (Defeat 12 enemies in a row without taking damage) - it's worth noting that this does NOT need to be in a single fight. You could defeat one enemy somewhere, driving somewhere else, defeat one enemy, and so on, as long as you nor your car take damage in between. So feel free to use that method at known easy enemy locations. Another guaranteed way to get this is to mash
and 
simultaneously during a big fight. You won't build up a combo but it surprisingly works to ensure you attack or counter every time and don't get hit - My Little Friend (Destroy 3 vehicles in the buggy) - you might do this naturally while defusing mines, but if not, the Parch Moon death race lets you use the Buggy. Use your shotgun to shoot the fuel tank on opponents
- Offshoot (Get 2 seconds of airtime with the Buggy 3 times) - fast travel to Jeet's stronghold and leave with the buggy. Make a hard right and drive off the cliff. Drive back up to the top and repeat
- Two Can Play That Game (Destroy 3 vehicles in a Skullbutts) - the Colossus death race lets you use a Skullbutts. Shotgun opponent vehicles
- Sparks Will Fly (Destroy a Sideblender or Metal Grinder while driving one) - the Reek Hills death race lets you drive as either, and your opponents will be the same. Just destroy an opponent
- Bug Eye Crush (Destroy 1 Buzzard vehicle in a Crusher) - first you need to unlock a Crusher by winning the Fuel Veins (Heat Haze) death race with it. Then, either drive it around at night and wait for Buzzards to attack, or drive it to the Buzzard vehicle spawn (see video at the end of this solution)
- Throw Another On The Barbie (Destroy 5 vehicles using the flame pipe from three listed vehicles) - both the Knit Sack and Cadavanaugh death races let you drive as the needed vehicles. Hold
while in front of a vehicle to burn it. If need be, you can shoot the driver or a tire to disable the vehicle first, then park in front of it to destroy it with the flame - Chicken Soup (Defeat 5 Rammerhead or Skullbutts with the fully upgraded ramming grill) - if this doesn't happen naturally, the most reliable way to grind it out is to win the Colossus death race with either of the required vehicles, then drive out of a stronghold with it, then summon the Magnum Opus and ram the empty vehicle head on until it explodes. Repeat until done
- Bug Killer (Defeat an enemy with the Kaboom Bug explosion) - start the Dry Gustie death race as the Kaboom Bug. Wait a second for enemy vehicles to drive towards you, then use the explosion to jump out of the car automatically. Immediately choose to continue, not retry the race, and if done quickly your car will blow up an enemy vehicle. If not, try again and be quick
- Let's Be Overly Specific (Destroy a vehicle in a storm with Aurelian The Ready) - I recommend driving this Archangel while mopping up all the scavenging locations around the map to get this naturally. If you don't, the Big Nothing outside the bounds of the map counts as a storm. You could travel to a stronghold, drive any other vehicle out to the edge of the map, summon the Magnum Opus and hop in, push the empty vehicle off the map, then go after it and destroy it
