I've had a video of me getting the achievement on my harddrive for a while and thought it may be helpful to see the exact direction and power to use.
Unfortunately there's no way to repeat the hole, you have to start over and complete courses 1 and 2 each time you miss.

AFRICA ARCADE GAME - MINI-GOLF
This is the 3rd hole
Use the left stick to raise the arrow allowing you to pitch the ball.
Aim towards the hole, raise pitch to maximum and use between 1/2 and 3/4 power.This will probably take a few attempts.

I found less than max pitch is better. Think if you don't get it perfect it is more likely to bounce over the side, if you miss the distance with lower pitch it can bounce back into the hole.
