Whenever you make a play make sure you select Run > Inside Handoff > HB Dive this will ensure that you always hand the ball to your Half Back, repeat this 40 times and you will unlock the achievement.
Make sure you also set the time to 5 Min Qtr, I found it useful to get the 7 Sacks Achievement at the same time as doing this one.

u wont unlock the achievement after u repeat it 40 times...u will unlock it at the end of the game...thx for wasting my time with rush attemps till the end of the game...

This is a lot easier than it sounds. Choose a play "By Player" and select your half back and just run it for every single play. Turn off injuries just in case because when I attempted this my halfback got injured with 39 attempts to his name.
