How to unlock the The Gang's All Here achievement in Madden NFL 10 - Definitive Guide

Follow the guide from Achievement Hunters:

http://roosterteeth.com/archive/?id=833

The tips for this achievement start at 2:38 into the video. The only thing I would add is to have the controller on defense pick the play: "By Formation" -> "Quarter" -> Combo -> "Prevent", and have the controller on offense pick the play: "By Play Type"- > "Run" -> "Inside Handoff" -> "HB Dive".

And after the snap let the computer control the HB (ie don't do anything yourself). This will take multiple tries, but you should get it eventually.

This does work, it just takes a couple tries. I had to do about 5 games but I finally got it.

I changed the defense to goal line and finally got it after hours of trying with the prevent defense.

I did this with the Browns vs the Cards during the same game as I got the TD recovery. There wasn't a Combo option under Quarter, only 3 Deep. I did a Preplay to QB Contain, and did everything else you said the same.

First. Try. +1 toast

This is just a slight fine-tuning of the solution, which is great:

-Do NOT press Y and then Up on the left stick, this pulls your secondary away from where you need them. Pull RT and then Y to highlight the wrecking ball halfback you've made, and then press Y and DOWN on the left stick to pull your secondary in. When they're about 15 yards out from scrimmage, hike the ball on your secondary controller.

-Do NOT inflate your created halfback's Agility, Ellusiveness, Juke Move, or Spin Move stats. Instead, turn those ALL the way down. You want this guy running straight into tacklers, not around them.

With these two slight changes, I went from trying for the achievement over the course of four hours to getting it on the fifth play from scrimmage, every attempt ending in at least a five man gang tackle.

Here's what I did.

In the settings, make CPU skill Break Tackle set to 100, Run Block set to 0.

Made the 400lb guy, put him on the colts (or any team). Stats all at 99.

Started a Play Now game with 2 controllers, letting the second controller be the team I put the 400lb guy on.

First controller (the one on your profile) I picked the Steelers.

After the punt I went into depth charts and made sure that the 400lb guy was the 1st string for HB.

I picked the HB Dive play for Offense, and picked the Prevent play for defense.

Before the hike, I pressed Y on the first controller and then UP on the LEFT stick. Then I held in RIGHT trigger and pressed Y to spotlight the 400lb guy.

I then pressed A on the second controller to hike the ball, DON'T CONTROL THE HB! Let the computer control him, and he ran passed the linemen and straight into a ton of guys.

I watched the instant replay AFTER I got the achievement, there were 3 Colts guys pushing me forward and 4 Steelers pushing me back!

I got this 1 by doin what t4nd4r said and making the 400lb guy but on defense when you pick the prevent play (which is under deep zone) instead of hitting Y then up on the left stick hit down and press Y and put spotlight on the hb.. just hit a on the other controler and let the computer do the work you should get it on the first few tries..

Just to compliment the other guides... your main controller must be on DEFENSE! I did this for hours on offense wondering why it wouldn't work. It took me five minutes while doing the 400 fatty on my second controller and my main account on defense.

Also I put the fatty on the lions and used the steelers on defense

I got this achievement by doing what t4nd4r and
AoX x iTz dReVV said like making the 400Lbs guy but don't you have to put all his stats at 99 just stuff like speed and trucking and other stuff and picking the prevent play and putting the spotlight on the HB by pressing (LT+Y Or Sometimes LT+LB) but after you pick the teams you go to to your opponents coaching (Were you can change the uniforms and stuff) and put their offensive coaching on Run Heavy so that way they run most of the time and do a lot of inside runs but the weird thing is that I had a 5 man gang tackle? and still got it but follow the instructions and it will take a few tries. ( I got it in the 2nd quarter) Write me for any achievements you need! Good Luck!
P.S I do have this achievement!

Everything above sounds good but also go to settings and put CPU Run Blocking to 99 so the back will get through the line with no problems. Then once the back is in the secondary it will give the linebackers, cornerbacks, and safeties a chance to pile up on the ball carrier. If it doesn't work at first keep using rewinds throughout the drive and after 10-15 min. you should have it.

This is the most frustrating trophy of the set. It's almost totally based on luck. You'll want to play against a team that has a big, power running back. The Giants are your best bet. By the way, use two controllers. Have the offense (player two) call running plays. With your defense (player one), set your defense to Dime and Prevent and play as the Steelers. This will load your defense with smaller defensive backs that can be dragged by the stronger RB. With a bit of luck, after a few tries, you'll trigger a large gang tackle.

Alternatively, if using Brandon Jacobs isn't working for you, then create a new RB that is 6'5" and 400 lbs. That should be plenty to drag some small DB's along for a gang tackle.

Once more, the best way to do this is using 2 controllers. Create a 400lb Running Back, put him on any team and max his stats to 99. Start a Play Now game and let Controller 2 be the team you put the 400lb RB on and let Controller 1 play as the Pittsburgh Steelers. Make sure that the 400lb Running Back is the main back to run your plays.

Now make sure Controller 1 (Steelers) is playing as the defense while Controller 2 is playing as the offense. Let Controller 1 pick the defense "By Formation" > "Quarter" > "Prevent" and Controller 2 pick "By Play Type" > "Run" > "Inside Handoff" > "HB Dive".

Before you snap the ball, let Controller 1 press and UP on the to put your defense into back-off coverage. Afterwards, press and hold and press the button above the Running Back to spotlight him. Then let Controller 2 press to snap the ball and don't press any buttons to let the CPU control the Running Back.

Now your defenders in back-off coverage will run towards the RB and tackle him, hopefully triggering a 7-man gang tackle. This has proven to be the fastest and most prolific way of obtaining this Achievement.

Nevertheless, there is no guarantee that this strategy will work on your first try.
Since a 7-man gang tackle, or gang tackles in general, are mostly random, there is no way to manipulate the game to increase the frequency of these gang-tackles to occur; so please be aware that this Achievement could take hours, maybe even days to unlock.

NOTE: Make sure to check that the difficulty and quarters are set to fit the requirements.
