How to unlock the Winning Isn't Everything achievement in Madden NFL 11 - Definitive Guide

Like most of the other achievements, this is a particularly easy one. Here's the easiest way to get it:

Play an exhibition game with difficulty set to Rookie. Select the Texans (you) vs the Rams (cpu). When on offense, use the manual play selection menu and select a play for Andre Johnson on every down. I used the Cross Slant almost everytime and completed the pass almost every time. Make a simple juke move after the catch and you should be able to run the length of the field. You should qualify for the YACTastic cheevie in just a handful of downs. Then you can keep running the same play for the Winning isn't everything achievement. Because Rookie difficulty is so easy you may need to purposely run out of bounds to avoid getting a TD on every catch (and therefore not getting enough plays in to reach 21 catches).

Achievement(s) will pop up at end of the game. You must complete the game to get it. Using this method you should be able to get a couple achievements in one game; YACtastic, Winning isn't everything, and Deadly Accurate.

Use Rewind if you happen to drop a pass. You get one rewind per down.

As stated by a couple other solutions you can quit the game early when you think you have passed the stat marks and the achievement(s) should pop up. I haven't personally verified this, but several other people claim to have.

For anyone still going for this - apparently you aren't allowed to Supersim, you must play both offense and defense. I played a game on Pro at 8 min qtrs and played every offensive snap, but hate playing D, so I simmed until next possession. Definitely had enough catches, but it never popped.

Just something to add, you can set rewinds to unlimited in the settings, so if your reciever drops a pass you can rewind and try again. This can be very helpful because every completion counts.

What I found to be the easiest way was to play on an easy difficulty, turn fatigue/injuries off and use a team with a good QB and RB that can catch. Just run screens until he has 21 catches and then just finish out the game and you should get it.

This is by far the easiest way to do it. Put your difficulty on Rookie if you didn't think to already, you can leave the quarter length on the regular 5 minutes because it doesn't take even the first half to finish this. Select the Titans as your team because Chris Johnson is a beast and one of the best receiving halfbacks in the game. I would choose a team with a bad defense like the Rams or the Panthers to play against, and then just select shotgun passes and choose plays that have Chris Johnson running small routes to the sideline and just keep dumping off 2 yard passes to him. You can get through this fast and you won't be throwing deep passes and hurrying your team downfield so it will allow you to get in more catches each possession of the ball. This is how i do it and I've done it for my friends who aren't really into Madden but just wanted the achievements and this is how I do it every time and it works perfectly.

This is a super easy achievement. Before starting the game go to your settings and make all your sliders 100 and the CPUs sliders 0. ( this will help with other cheevos too ). Then for whatever team you're going to use ( i used the steelers but i doubt it matters ), click on the starting rb and put his speed, acceleration, awareness, agility, catching and all those running moves to 99 ( juke, stiff arm etc ). Then start up the game and use any play where the rb does a route to the flats ( pretty much a straight line across the screen to either the left or right side ) as soon as he catches it just run out of bounds and keep repeating.

if you need any help or can't figure it out, feel free to message me on TA or xbox.

This trophy seems daunting, but it is actually quite easy. Start up a quick play game on Rookie difficulty. Choose for your team, the Atlanta Falcons. You can play against whoever you wish. (I recommend the Cleveland Browns since they suck)

Every offensive possession you have, make sure you choose a pass play. I threw all my passes to the tight end Tony Gonzalez. He has probably the best hands in the game and will catch literally everything you throw at him (as long as it isn't 20 feet over his head). He will most likely get fatigued at some point and that's okay. Just call a couple run-plays until he comes back on the field.

Once he has logged 21 receptions, all you have to do is complete the game and the trophy will pop!

Get the Packers and do 3 minute quarters on the easiest difficulty. Pick the same play all game. I prefer any play where the RB(Grant) runs to the right in the flats because you can hit him 93% of the time for any amount of yards you want. The guy breaks tackles 93% of the time as well. Rinse and repeat this for like 3-5 drives and the achievement is yours. If I'm not mistaken, you can quit the moment you get 21 passes completed to Ryan Grant.

Easy way without changing anything is use broncos offensive playbook and run bronco heavy formation bronco z streak play. Snap the ball and press LB and youll get the completion every time. If you want you can put your TE or RB at 3 FB which is the LB reciever.

Play on rookie difficulty with the Colts against a team with bad pass defense and keep throwing the ball to Reggie Wayne or Dallas Clark until they total 21 receptions.

You can easily get this trophy while going for Deadly Accurate. To get this trophy, you have to throw at least 21 passes to the same player in a single match. Once the criteria have been filled, you will receive the trophy after you quit.

Use the same setup as outlined for Did I Break It? and YACtastic. Throw a short and reliable pass to give your receiver the best chance possible to make the catch. You could also set up the second team to run a Field Goal Block. This will leave acres of space for you to pass into. Once you find a reliable pass you can pull off every time, recycle it till you hit the 20 passes.

Important: This one has to be done using a single receiver. So recycle the same play every time to make sure you are finding the right man.

This trophy will unlock at the end of the game.
Trophies that can be done at the same time:
Deadly Accurate, YACtastic, Perfect Game, Defensive Dominance & Did I Break It?

Before starting the game, go to Options and turn off fatigue. Then, using two controllers, have the defense line up in a “Field Goal Block” every time. Have any receiver run a straight route or a screen pass and hike the ball. Toss the ball to the receiver and immediately have him run out of bounds. Do this 20 more times with the same receiver. It’s best to call a hurry-up offense so that the receiver is in the line up every time.

If you have only one controller, use the same method as “Deadly Accurate” but make sure you use only one player.

Achievement unlocks at the end of the game.
