How to unlock the San Diego Chargers Award achievement in Madden NFL 12 - Definitive Guide
**Most if not all achievements can be gained while playing with two controllers.
**Most if not all achievements can be gained while changing the skill of the CPU/Player.
**Most if not all achievements can be gained while changing the game rules.
**Most if not all achievements can be gained while changing the game settings.
For this achievement you need to hold the opponent under 67 yards of total offense.
I used the two contoller method:
1. Set the game to 5 min quarters.
2. Change the slider for offside to 0.
3a. While the opponent has the ball make him punt the ball (second controller method).
3b. While the opponent has the ball set your defender next to the opponent QB so when he hikes your are able to sack him.
While on offense run down the clock as much as possible.

I would just add that you should turn on Accelerated Clock and set the minimum play clock time to 10 seconds. If you start plays as soon as the playbook comes up it'll kill off about 30 seconds instantly, except in the last two minutes of each half.

A few 4th quarter, situation-specific strategies if you're still in the running for this:
1) If you've held the opposing team to single-digit yardage and are kicking off, consider an onside kick. At worst they'll get the ball around the fifty, leaving not enough yardage for a touchdown score to put them over 67.
2) If you've held the opposing team to around 60 yards and are facing 4th down, call a shotgun play and race backwards, letting yourself get tackled around the 3. You'll turn the ball over, but your opponent can't get more than 3 yards of offense before kicking back to you.

I played as the NFC all stars vs the arizona cardinals. I left all settings on default, except i set the auto accel clock to drop to 10 seconds instead of 20. This made the game move much quicker and gave them less plays.
Start up the game and then turn off the play clock. Go into options and turn it off. Once you get the ball, run a QB sneak up the middle. Then, watch TV, read a book, etc. for the next 5 minutes while the clock runs down. Repeat for the next 3 quarters. Just make sure you are up by the end of the game.
Bear in mind, you'll have to run a couple extra plays due to the 2:00 warnings at the end of both halves.

Play against your horrible created team along with offisides set to 0. Before each snap, line up a defender near the quarterback. After the snap, just use the and sack the quarterback. By the end of the game, your opponent might a have a few yards of offense, but nowhere near 67 yards.
Set the Game to 5-Minute Quarters and turn Offside off. When on defense, cross the line of scrimmage with your LB and stand directly in front of or behind the CPU Quarterback and sack the QB. Do this every time the CPU has possession of the ball, not allowing them to gain any yards of offense.
