How to unlock the Battle Tested achievement in Madden NFL 13 - Definitive Guide

Make sure both players have online pass activated.
NOTE: if you are renting or gamefly'n you can get all online pass required achieves if you boost within the 2 day trial period. Just make sure to get the other pass required achievements.... Such as madden moments & join a league before the trial goes boom!

Also note that this must be earned in ranked matches... Nothing else counts.

Prefer your buddy
Go to online
Highlight quickmatch and go to options by pressing x
Now select DNF under 90
Select the rating at my rating only.... If both players never played a game yet
And turn gameflow to off.... Most people play with gameflow on, so this helps you match

Now with both of you using the same search settings you both need to search at the same time..... We matched in 2 attempts!

Now onside kick... Player who gets the ball will select quick slant
Person defending will select block field goal.... At the snap press x quick! WR will catch the ball ... Let him run up and in for the td

Select 2 pt conversion using same quick slant play.

Defender use same field goal block

Once at 250 or 254 MAX finish by running out the clock... Just don't score. Achievements will pop when you get back to main screen.

I CAN NOT confirm if one player quits out it will count for either player.

We just finished from 0 points to 602 in 5 hours and 2 minutes with 2 15 minute breaks included.

Good luck guys.... It's really not too bad.

Also.... We matched up first time searching twice, and one search took two attempts.... All with 7000 other users searching at the same time :-)

EDIT: If you quit AFTER THE FIRST HALF OF THE GAME (IN THE 3RD QUARTER) ALL POINTS WILL COUNT!

I can confirm that the person who quits gets the points.....in my first try with my buddy when the game came out we were unaware of the 255 point max and both got to it and we realized we were screwed. So we did 1 overtime and still nothing and in the second overtime I just quit.....still got all the achievements that I was supposed to.

Glad to know that it counts if someone quits. I played a game last night and was winning 31-14, I thought they'd quit so I let them score to make it closer haha.

Sorry bud.... Like I said I can't confirm it counts, but thanks for saying it didn't for you. We got to 250-254 and just ran the clock out to be safe.

You still get points if the other person quits. I have played 2 matches with randoms and they both quit when they started to lose and I got the first achievement.

Just to add on for further confirmation all of my points have counted when the other person has quit (I don't know about friendly quit).

I just played my first online head to head game and was winning 29-15 when I caught a pass, was running open down the field about to score with 1:16 left and the other player quit, and I didn't get the achievement for 25 pts.... Any suggestions?

The points only count if you are in the second half.

confirmed method above does work. also helps setting madden rep to 15% as well! also, if one of you (doesn't matter who as long as you are both trying to get pts) gets 3 delay of game in the 3RD QUARTER, both of you walk away with the cheevos!!!

I can confirm that leaving after the first half gives both the points. Be warned though I was the one that left and it took them a few minutes to pop so if they don't instantly unlock don't panic laugh

I can confirm your points COUNT if you quit, FOR BOTH PLAYERS. Do not choose Friendly quit as it will not count for either player, choose the regular quit. Just did this in a gaming session and I quit as we went to 255 as we forgot about the limit, and I quit at the start of overtime and the achievements popped for both of us. Not sure what the people on here saying you can't quit did wrong.

I can confirm that your points may or may not count if you are the one that quits, however the player that remained in the game does get the points. I just quit after getting 255 and didn't get a single point, in fact the game didn't even count it, and no I did not friendly quit before you ask. So to conclude, there is no guarantee that if you are the one quitting you will get points. We followed your solution to the letter so maybe you've done something wrong not me, downvoted until you remove the part about confirming both players get points if one quits.

Just wanted to throw this out there, in case anyone was wondering: if you get disconnected mid game (because either your internet sucks like mine, or lag just decides to kick a player), the points you scored DO still count. The first game me and a friend played I scored 201 points no problem, finished the game normally. The second game I scored 204 points, and as time was running out I got lagged out.

Furious, I checked the leaderboards to see how many "lifetime" points I had scored, and it read 399, strangely enough. So it seems that it counted my original 201, and then it counted 198 of my last 204 (I guess it didn't count the last touchdown I scored, with missed extra point). My only guess is that if you lag out, the servers save how many points you have scored until right before you get booted...but I honestly have no idea.

But anyways, this was to try and make some people worrying about this a little at ease. The game WILL save the points you have scored to a point, even in the case of disconnect. Thank. God.

Unachievable due to server closure

Scoring 600 points can be difficult because of quitters, lag, and skill of other users online. These are cumulative trophies, and only points you score in a Head-to-Head Online Ranked matches count. After the game is over and you taken back to the Online home screen, and if you earned enough points for a trophy it will unlock after a few seconds.

To get an idea of how many points you have scored, go to Online Leaderboards and scroll till you see your PF (Average Points For). Take your PF and multiply it by the number of games you have played.

You can also, thanks to Kaozz79, go to https://www.easports.com/. Sign in and click on your profile to check your Madden 13 stats. It will show all of your online stats and will have "Points for" which shows exactly how many you have along with all previous game scores.

These trophies can be boosted by using the boosting thread HERE, but it is VERY difficult to get matched up with your boosting partner. Each game has a max of 255 points. After both of you reach 255 points, then have one user get three delay of game penalties in a row to end the game. Like with all boosting, you need to set up a chat room with each other and try your best to synch up. Below are two tips on how to boost, but BEWARE it is still very difficult and almost impossible at times to boost.

Special thanks to CrazyTrainZ28 who figured out that Madden Rep is KEY to having a better shot at finding your boosting partner. You and your boosting partner need to be within 15% of each other's Madden Rep. Skill points can vary but if Madden Rep is within 15%, then still able to meet up. To change your search setting, use before clicking "Play Now."

Another boosting tip thanks to OlympiakosNYC and djhmetfan2, is both boosting partners have the same amount of Skill points. After playing a game together, the Winner needs to lose two straight games by getting three delay of games in a row after the kickoff on offense. Then both boosting partners can synch up again.

This one will take around 5 hours if you boost these with someone, but if you want to play online, then you will eventually earn this achievement along with the rest.

To boost: Find a boosting partner and then go to the online portion. Select "Online Head to Head." Make sure you are in a ranked match, and then go to advanced settings. In advanced settings, go to gameflow and then change gameflow to off. Then, prefer your boosting partner. Once you have all of this done, have your partner and yourself search for a match at the same time. If you find each other, load up the game and begin play. If not, keep searching.

Once in game, find a play on offense that is in shotgun, and have the defender call a Field goal block. Hike it and instantly throw to one of your receivers. Run the receiver in for a TD. Rinse and repeat, and then do an onside kick. Rinse and repeat. Do this throughout the entire game until you hit 250 points a piece, because if you go over 255, then none of your points will count. AGAIN, MAKE SURE TO STAY BELOW 255 PER PERSON!!!!! Once you hit 250, then do running plays or QB kneels throughout the rest of the game and be sure not to score.
