While preseason games may be faster.... It's in your best interest to play all 16 regular season games and win them all. You will obtain cards and many coins and also when you win the 16th game you get a key pack which may contain very valuable cards you could keep or auction off for more coins to buy more gold packs.
I would suggest all 16 regular season games, all the legendary games that are available to you, and the coin up games for coins and cards.
This will allow you to put together a rank 85 Mut team faster and easier.
Why waste time playing the same games over and over for no reward after the first four games and very little reward to start with.

The "key pack" you're referencing only contains one card -- a key player. It's a roll of the dice as to what you'll get. You could get a halfback or a CB, but generally they're higher rated cards.

This solution is guaranteed to get you this achievement the fastest. (Within an hour)
While at the MUT menu...
1) Go into settings and change the difficulty to Rookie.
2) While in settings, change the quarter length to 1:00
3) Make sure your playcalling is set to Conventional
4) Play a head-to-head game against the CPU.
5) After the initial kick-off, supersim (bottom of the play menu) until the 4th quarter. (choose the sim until next quarter option.)
6) Play the final 1:00
7) Win or lose, it will count towards the 20 games.
Each game will take about 2-3 minutes to complete. You will literally spend more time watching loading screens than you will actually playing the game. Using this method, I finished this achievement in a matter of an hour.

ANY game you play in MUT counts towards this achievement, including solo challenges. Fastest way to do it: play 20 preseason challenges (2 minute quarters, rookie difficulty).

Unachievable due to server closure
Complete various solo challenges. Most solo challenges are set with 2 minute quarter lengths and you have to play the whole game. A good way to keep track of how many games you have played is to play one teams entire season schedule, which is 16 games and each game has a bigger coin reward and sometimes a special card.

This achievement requires you to finish 20 games of MUT. You can do this using 1 minute quarters or doing pre-season challenges, but I would recommend not doing it that way as you will progress faster towards an 85 if you play 16 regular season games.
