How to unlock the Vince Lombardi Award achievement in Madden NFL 13 - Definitive Guide
This achievement is for passing vince lombardi's legacy score of 16,100. Start a CREATED coach's career. I used a motivator and pick the packers. Also make sure you don't change any settings. LEAVE THEM ALL AS DEFAULT! I simmed through with changed settings and I was getting barely any legacy points which is why you need to leave the settings as default. Now you just need to simulate each game. Make sure you win each game too. So save it before you simulate a game and if you win save it and simulate the next game. If you lose reload your save and simulate and reload until you get the win. You should be getting around 2,000 legacy score a year. Keep doing this and when you hit your 100th win (100 wins and 0 loses in your 6th season) you will unlock this achievement and the 100 win achievement. You can also then retire to get the hall of fame achievement.
Also when you are going through your season make sure you click on each task and choose to delgate it or auto upgrade the players. And for the first 3 seasons I chose only to manually negotiate with the high ranking free agents (such as aaron rodgers (players above 85 overall). The low ranking players (below 85 overall) I delegated on the negotiations. As for XP i didn't really spend any of it.
Pre-season games do not matter.
I had the achievement Blythe end of 6th season winning 6 sb and champs, n 5 coach of year. I went about 107-5.
Start a new Connected Career as created head coach with the Green Bay Packers as Motivator with all default settings.
Each season:
Sim preseason, save before each season, and playoff game. If you lose, reload your save so that you finish 19-0 every season. You get a lot of legacy points for going undefeated, having numerous Pro Bowl players, and winning superbowls.
Regarding XP:
Spend all XP on "Contract" and "Free agent" packages (start with the most important positions like QB, CB, WR, etc.) Ignore "XP Boost" and "Retirement" packages.
Regarding Players:
During the season there will be a lot of players who will want to negotiate a contract. Ignore players under 85. For players over 85, click on them and choose delegate. Don't worry if they reject contract, most of them won't leave anyway
In the 2nd or 3rd season, QB Aaron Rodgers will need a contract. This is the only player you will negotiate a contract yourself. Do this at the beginning of the season, when you have the most cap space. Just give him whatever he wants or give him a little more than what he is asking to make sure he resigns.
You can sign some free agents yourself if you want in the offseason, but it is not necessary.
Also, "Progress Players" every now and then to upgrade players on your team. Don't scout as it is not necessary.
Offseason:
Delegate/Sim everything.
This can take between 5-6 hours simulating, 5 full seasons, and 5 games into the 6th season which gives you a record of 100-0 and unlocking Vince Lombardi Award, All Madden, and Hall of Famer.
To unlock these three achievements will take 4 - 6 hours. This requires no playing, and all simming.
Start a created connected careers coach for the Packers. LEAVE ALL THE SETTINGS ON DEFAULT! Sim the Pre-season games and then save. Then, sim each game and save after you win. If you lose, exit out and reload your save. Keep doing this and make sure you win each game including the playoffs. Rinse and repeat, sim the offseason and then do the same for the regular season and post season. Once you reach 100 wins, which should take about 5 seasons, you will get the "All Madden" achievement. To pass the Legacy score of Vince Lombardi, you need to pass the score of 16,100. Once you unlock this achievement, you should have enough Legacy score to unlock this one. Then simply retire by going into the "more" tab on the top of your screen. This will unlock the "Hall Of Famer" achievement.
