How to unlock the Take a Week Off achievement in Madden NFL 15 - Definitive Guide
Not so much of a guide, but for this achievement you are supposed to win the required amount of games in the regular season to get a bye week in the playoffs. For the first season you need to win at least 8.
But I also want to let you guys know that I did not win the 8 games, I went 6-3 in the regular season and made playoffs, and I ended up making the Super bowl, which net me the Make the Super Bowl Achievement, and this one popped when that one did. So if you fail to get the first round bye, you can still get this as long as you make the super bowl.

As the first solution said, you must go at least 8-2 in the regular season using your MUT team for this achievement to unlock.
I was having trouble with this achievement the first few weeks it came out, but rattled off 8 wins in a row after waiting for the good players to move on to higher ranks. In my first season, I already had lost 3 games and decided to just let the rest of my opponents beat me so that I would not move up at all in rank. This was big for me because it allowed me to stay at Rookie - 2nd level while I started a brand new season all over. This is debatable on whether to do this because you can still get this achievement if you win the Superbowl game. It's just kind of up to you if you want to risk it and start playing harder teams.
I would suggest a team rating of at least 75 (my team was 76). I was fortunate to find a Colin Kapernick card and would also suggest you use a scrambling QB that can move outside the pocket with ease and cause chaos for your opponents defense (Mike Vick and Geno Smith are two other more cheaper options in case you can't afford Kapernick). The other guys on my team were more or less average at best, although having a 80 rated Mike Evans seemed to help a lot too.
It's not easy and takes a mix of skill and luck, but as long as you stay in the low rankings you should fair okay.
