Tackle battles are a new feature in this year’s game. You can learn about them in the skills trainer. Essentially, tackle battles are single button mini-game prompts that appear over the tackler and runner’s head at the moment of impact, whoever presses the button first or the fastest wins. On offense you break the tackle; on defense you punish the ball carrier. Unfortunately, there is no explanation for what triggers tackle battles vs. regular tackles. The good news is they occur multiple times every game.
You should not have any problems unlocking this trophy while just playing normally vs. the computer in your MUT or DC games. If you are having problems unlocking this trophy, follow the steps in the BOOM trophy description but win the tackle battle on offense instead of on defense.

This is much easier than winning on defense. This came naturally during my first game as I tried to get used to the controls. Just hit the corresponding button repeatedly as you are getting tackled in order to break free.
