This is what I did to make i easy and fast I used 2 controllers 1st controller I used Pittsburgh Steelers and the 2nd controller I used Chicago Bears start a play now match on rookie. 1st controller receive the ball. Now pick four verticals and the Chicago bears pick load block right under special teams. Now with 1st controller before snapping hold RT and select either X or B. Now hold LT and snap the ball and press either X or B fast and move the ball with RS up and hopefully computer catches it and run it in for the TD to earn the achievment. Thanks guys let me know how it works it took me only 2 tries.

2 controllers a must for this and throwing the ball before player gets to dot so you don't have to chase back to dot. Didn't use the same teams but method works thanks! +1

I had the defense do a field goal block to make it easier

If you're exceptionally bad at this mechanic like I am, I found an easy way to get the achievement.
I went into MUT and played the first solo challenge from Longshot. Then I got down to around the 5 yardline. I ran a curl route with my TE, and waited until he stopped in the end zone. Finally, I held
and hit 
. Since he was stopped, he didn't have to move to catch the ball.

You also need to be at least level 3 in MUT in order to access these challenges.
EDIT: Also you must have the Longshot team chemistry active, which would mean you need at least 3 players from the Longshot story in your active lineup. This can only be done after you've completed some of the Longshot story.

A little tip to add that helps use the mechanic: If the man you want to throw to is open and you don't have the confidence to lead the ball to him, just hold and double tap the receiver's icon. It'll be the equivalent to a normal pass and still get you the achievement if he scores the TD.

I figured the best way to go about this achievement.
Target passing is a new mechanic introduced in Madden 18 which lets you pass the ball more precisely ( if you're able to actually figure it out successfully)
I used the Patriots roster and played against the Jets, but tinkered with the rosters a bit.
I gave Rob Gronkowski 99 in every stat, gave Julian Edelman 99 speed and acceleration, and boosted my offensive line to 99 in strength, awareness, pass block, run block, and impact block.
For the Jets I gave all of their cornerbacks lowered speed (30s range) . However, it would be smart to do that with their strong and free safety as well.
What you want to do when you're in an offline game is first make sure your rosters are the adjusted ones you've just created.
When you get the ball on offense pick four verticals or just hot route everybody on a streak. Before you hike the ball hold
and select a primary receiver which should be Rob Gronkowski or Edelman. It's up to you, but this is mandatory otherwise you won't get the achievement to pop even if you pull it off successfully.
Trust me.
Start the play and hold to bring up the target passing icon and drag it ahead (towards the top of the screen) of either Gronkowski or Edelman.
If you catch it you can run to the endzone with plenty of speed to outrun everybody.
Once you score a touchdown with this, the achievement will unlock.

This mechanic is literal garbage. You need to hold L2 and move the cursor around for 'precision aiming' then throw the pass and have it be a TD. Best with two controllers on rookie.
Protip: If the play has Square as the main target and you want to throw to X you have to hit X first then about a second gap before throwing it with X again.

Take what you learned about the Target Passing Mechanic from the Pass Academy trophy and apply it an in game situation. You will have no problem unlocking this trophy while you grind Full Set.
