UPDATE 17th April 2020: Recent patch should mean rosters are working as normal! The 'removed by creator' error should no longer appear for you

UPDATE: 26/7/19 - I have re-uploaded the roster as "49ERSLEGACY2". I ran 3 tests with the new roster and you should now hit 45,000 - 48,000 (once hit 57,000) in 10 seasons (the old roster worked too, but the margin was a bit tighter which alongside the buggy achievement didn't seem to work for everyone) .

NOTE: Legacy Award achievements, in particular, are buggy in Madden NFL 20. My advise would be to persevere and keep trying. Let it sim the full 10 years before giving up.

I made a roster "49ERSLEGACY2" you can download. Do so, and adhere to the following steps for all 10 Legacy achievements in 10 minutes.

- From the menu, go to “Download Community Files”. Use

to move over to the “Rosters” section.

- Download "49ERSLEGACY2" roster (created by NoHeroes94, description is "Updated: Use for achievements")

- Revert to the menu, go to settings, share & manage files, and load/delete. Load the “49ERSLEGACY2” roster

- Head over to franchise mode. Select “Cloud Franchise” to speed up simulations.

- When it asks you to use active NFL roster or Custom Roster, you MUST select Custom Roster. This is why we loaded the roster 2 steps ago. After this, select the San Francisco 49ers.

- Create a custom coach. Make him a Motivator. Name, ethnicity, and details make no difference and are arbitrary.

- Go to league settings and change to the following: Difficulty – ALL MADDEN, Salary Cap – OFF, Injuries – OFF, Pre-Existing Injuries – OFF, Season Experience (Under User Team Help) – SIMPLE.

- Start your franchise, and simulate the regular season for 10 years.

- That’s it. Just put your controller down, make a sandwich, or watch whilst the games simulate and achievements (very quickly) pop.

Yeah, the Brady legacy achievement won’t unlock. I’ve tried multiple times with different options and a 2nd account. Idk what’s going on.

For whatever reason, I can download the roster but it isn't in the list when I go to my rosters... I can't load that roster to make it current. Weird???

Sasha, I had same issue. I restarted the game and redownloaded the roster and it appeared fine. Just buggy in early access I suppose.

After 10 years, my LEGACY score was only 29,700. My XP was 112,000. I went 6-0 in the Super Bowl. I tried tweaking my lineup, but after 10 years, obviously my players aren't 99s anymore. Trading is difficult.

Restarted, and got it finally. Legacy of 35k+ didn't work, but it popped when I hit 38,411. Don't know if it was popping late, or if the threshold is closer to 38k.

Make sure to look at the LEGACY score. League => Stats => Legacy Leaderboard.

@SashaMorning - Had a look, and I've hit 32,000k between 2025 - 2028 each time without fail (ran it another 3 times). I've literally maxed out everyone in the roster I'm prototyping, seeing what I can do but there isn't much more I can push it.

Hey guys; uploading a new roster called "49ERSLEGACY2", and I'm getting 43,000 - 48,000 consistently. The previous roster should have worked in theory, but it was tighter than first anticipated. Can only extend my most sincere apologies.

Did exactly the same as last year, they must have adjusted their calculations.

I try this today it did pop till I press the b button to go back and it achievement pop in the cloud menu. Legacy score was 32,296

I just did it again. Popped after the season ended, legacy score = 33,687 (probably jumped because the SB win).

I also got it on Rookie since this was the online league I used for the SB win. Popped preseason 2027.

According to the EA forums it's a problem on the EA's side of things. No community rosters can be downloaded, attempting to will just come up with the same message …. roster unavailable as it has been removed by the creator. EA have responded saying they are aware of the problem and are working on fixing it …. believe it when I see it though.

@tskxsniper1 For franchise it is 99 OVR, 100%, just checked but this roster has been out since launch so wouldn't just change.

If if says this for Play Now achievements, it's been a glitch around for years where even if loaded the roster score doesn't update. If you download the roster even if it shows an 80's OVR in Play Now it'll still be the OP roster.

@NoHeroes94 I was also able to download this time, but can't seem to successfully load the roster to use for creating a new franchise. The 49ers show as 87 overall during the create a custom roster franchise part.

I may not be doing something right, but after downloading roster it doesn't show in the Share & Manage Files > Load And Delete Files.

It does show up in My Downloads.

EDIT: Had to redownload and overwrite the previously downloaded version. It DID show in the load and delete files this time, and successfully loaded into franchise.

Not sure what changed in the course of a week but I’m struggling to break 15k. Doing all the settings as mentioned and can barely get close to the 32k requirement.

Hey guys; after testing, it should be fine. I ran it just now twice for 10 seasons each time and have a legacy score of 51,670 and 54,188 (XP is 148000). I also re-downloaded the roster fresh and naturally all the values are the same and the roster is still 99 rated. Historically they haven't addressed this workaround for close to a decade so I can't imagine they would patch this out.

Mistake most people make is missing a setting or not loading the roster correctly.

I've just checked and it is still 99 for me definitely. Tried a fresh download, too...weird! Maybe triple check you're definitely re-loading the roster before trying to set it up in Cloud Franchise.

Regarding the 'unable to load file' query - this has been a consistent problem plaguing Madden 20 custom rosters. No rosters were downloadable for close to a month at one point (really hope they sort it for Madden 21). Quitting out or just keeping trying over and over should eventually fix the issue, though.

Yeah, I tried downloading it again, and no luck when trying to load the file. It is no where to be found. I keep quitting out and loading the game again, and nothing. Hopefully, they fix their game soon.

Guide needs to be updated to explain where to go to get to the 'Share and Manage files' screen properly. I also had to download several times then close and restart the game before it would work. Otherwise this works a treat.

This didn't unlock for after trying 4 times, a day later i uninstalled and reinstalled and it popped. May be worth trying if anyone has the same problem

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. I downloaded the roster but it doesn't give me the option of loading the roster. It is sitting in my downloads but doesn't show up in the load/delete files section. Did I miss a step or is it just acting weird?

Actually got this kind of in a legit way.All you have to do is trade like 5 to 10 good players to the team you want to use before you start up franchise,then under settings before you start turn off salary cap.Got this in about 8 seasons and when I did play games it was only key moments

I was having the same problem as @Sashamorning was

I tried this today. I searched the roster again in community files, when i found it before downloading i hit rb twice so the heading at the top said roster then downloaded it. Then went to load and delete and hit rb to highlight roster at the top, and your d/l showed up.

Hopefully this helps anyone having problems finding the file

Brady Achievement popped during Preseason 2025.

If you don't know where "Download Community Files" is, select the "Share & Manage Files" option in Settings. Settings can be found at the bottom-right of your screen. Look for the gear icon.

UPDATE 18/03: It will work eventually. It was giving the same message for my roster and another 10+ rosters I tried to download from other creators. After 7-8 attempts it FINALLY let me download the roster, and from others. Presume its just EA server jankyness. May want to try and reach out to EA Support, I shall be later today.

Wow. Yes, it does say that, but I can assure you I didn't delete the file because its still in the "my files" and lets me edit the description etc. So weird. Let me investigate and get back to you all.

I just spent 10 minutes looking for that option (on the main menu page) and it doesn't exist. Thought I had the wrong game, please update solution/WT as this comment made it clear and easy to understand.

Also, I had to go to "My Downloads" and redownload it to get it to pop up in the load/delete section. Don't know if it is an update or not but so far this solution has been difficult to follow.
