How to unlock the Head-to-Head achievement in Madden NFL 22 - Definitive Guide

***SOLO METHOD***
This achievement is very buggy just like winning the super bowl but there’s an easy way to do this by yourself.
1.Start a Cloud Franchise with a 99 OVR team (I downloaded Cheevo Guides 49ers team)
2.Play first preseason game. Should be the Cheifs. Invite backup account to league.
3. Switch Profiles and have the backup accept the league invite
4. Once the back up is in, toggle Autopilot for that time to unlimited
5. Played the preseason game and play kickoff and one down(2 just to be safe)
Super Sim'd to the end of the game.
6.Return to League menu.
7.Go to Xbox Home Screen and fully quit the game
8.Go back into franchise mode and achievement will pop

Step 6 is important, it was the ONLY way I got it to pop, thanks.
Edit: I CAN confirm this working for both generations of the game, exactly the same steps.

**This can be done with one Xbox and one controller but you need to setup a few things first.**
1. You need a second Xbox live account that has played Madden 22 before, ie. has been to the main menu and is connected to EA online
2. A 99 overall team. This is so you can win the Superbowl as well through super sim. From the main menu click the NFL shield on the right side. Share & manage files -> Download community files ->
to roster and download a roster with a name like 99Giants, 99Jets etc. Press
and choose load and delete files, to roster and load the one that you downloaded.
Now to start,
Franchise -> create new league -> Use Active roster, select the 99 ovr team. START PLAYING
In the center you will see the opposing team for preseason week 1. This will be the team the second account picks. to options and select members. Click that team and invite user, choose friends list and pick your second account and send invite.
Back out to the main menu and switch profiles using
. Choose franchise and selected accept or decline on the bottom, join the league. Choose the preseason match up team. START PLAYING. Back out to the main menu and switch back to your real account.
Open franchise mode backup. to options and select members, click on the secondary accounts team. Select toggle auto pilot and choose unlimited. Play the preseason game and play one play (the kickoff). Super sim to the end. Once you are back to the franchise menu and have upgraded your players this will unlock

Can confirm it works, i am using two accounts that has separate XGPU, when you switch accounts you need to quit to xbox dashboard and log out one account then you can open the game normally.

You might want to mention to be careful when using supersim in the head to head game. The first preseason game for the 49ers is the Chiefs and a lot of the low rated backups will play instead of the 99 rated starters.

Couldn't super sim to the end of the game, my friend who helped me wasnt happy (even tho it was 1 min quarters)

Start a cloud franchise using Real Life NFL Rosters and invite your friend by going to members and then invite users, play the earliest team matchup that you can by selecting 2 teams that face each other and win. You can play with 1 minute quarters to speed this up. If you don’t have a friend with the game you can try joining a public league and try to win against another player. You can also have your friend or alternate account turn auto pilot on. Once they accept the invite, in the members section, change to versus the computer instead of a real opponent and the trophy will still pop.
