How to unlock the Exporter achievement in Mafia II - Definitive Guide
Drive to the where the road dead ends and turn left (going north). If you continue heading north the road curves towards the east but beyond this is a parking lot. In this parking lot I have found constantly spawning Lassiter Series 75 Hollywoods which will net you $2800.00 at Derek's and also Berkeley Kingfishers which will net you around $2500.00.
This lot is literally due west of the clothing store (on the north side of the street).
EDIT: Location can be found here. I no longer have this game and haven't played it in years so I can't provide additional information. Special thanks to Radiant Viper for providing the pic & link location.

To sell a car simply drive to the docks, past the stairs up to Derek's office and head right. There is a crane/lift that you can drive the cars on to.
Derek won't take any old scrap though so you have to pick high end cars such as Shubert Frigates, Ascot Baileys, Smith Thunderbolts etc.
The easiest way i found of getting it is to get 4 of the convertible Thunderbolts when you see them and then you will get the 5th by selling him the Greaser car you are required to sell to him in chapter 8 as part of the story. If you haven't got them all by then, don't panic, just make sure you get the achievement before you head off to start mission 14.
The youtube video i found below shows you in clear detail.
NB: Before selling the greaser car to Derek, ungrade it twice and drive over the big bridge so you can get the achievement for driving at 125mph.
Perfect guide imo. The little tidbit on the 125mph achievement helps too. I was wondering why the hot rod only hit 119mph, lol.
On chapter 11 after the Irish set fire to your house, Instead of driving to Joe's apartment go to Derek at the docks.
A spawn glitch occurred for me, two nice cars would always spawn near the entrance, if there were not any good cars i would drive out of the docks and come back in. Hopefully this Helps...
:)
You can store up to ten cars in your garage. Some of the cars on the list provided by Flyboy80498, like the Smith V8, the Lassiter Series 69 and the Shubert Frigate, you will encounter before Derek starts buying cars from you at the end of Chapter 8: The Wild Ones. Just make a copy of the list (making sure to add the Lassiter Series 69 to the list), go the the Carcyclopedia and get an idea what each car on the lists looks like (hint: most of the cars are convertibles or rag tops), and then as you come across them between Chapters 2 and 8, store them in your garage.
After Derek starts buying them from you at the end of Chapter 8, go to the garage at your nearest safe house, and take each of the cars to Derek at the docks. From the nearest safe house, the drive should be mostly a straight shot up the highway access road, which you can gun the gas most of the way, making it a pretty short trip back and forth.
**** NOTES ****
1. If you are looking to maximize how much money you get from each car, make sure to take them to a car shop before taking them to Derek to make any repairs if the car has been damaged. Derek pays more if the cars are in pristine condition.
2. One of the cars on the list, the Smith V8, tends to respawn at Bruski's Scrapyard, right across from the car crusher. Several cars you cannot sell will spawn there, but early in the game, occasionally the Smith V8 will spawn there as well.
3. When you sell Derek a car that has been stored in your garage, then that car is gone forever, and you can no longer access it from your garage. So make sure you do not accidentally sell him a car that you want to keep.
4. You can sell Derek multiples of the same model car and get the Achievement. So if you have four of the same model vehicle, they will all count towards the Achievement.
5. Despite it being on the list, I have never once been able to get Derek to accept the Smith Custom 200 Police Special . . . or for that matter, the regular Smith Custom 200. Some people say their game will take it, so that one is a hit and miss and you may not want to waste your time trying to get them unless you are sure your game will take them.
The easiest way to get this Achievement with little to no effort, is start collecting the cars early.

6. if you do not have this Achievement by the very start of Chapter 14, you will have to reload a previous chapter to get it. Events take place during Chapter 14, which make it impossible to export cars any longer from them on.
7. Without giving away any spoilers, near the end of Chapter 14 you are going to need to come up with a HUGE amount of money - you can probably guess how much before Chapter 14 begins. The quickest and easiest way in the game to earn huge sums of money, is exotic car exporting - which is no longer possible starting with Chapter 14; and consequently, is next to useless until just before starting the last mission in Chapter 11. So between the end of Chapter 11, and before the start of Chapter 14, make sure you gross a huge bankroll, or trying to earn the rest of the money you do not have by that point, makes the game pretty frustrating.
8. This game is evil when it comes to special car spawns. Before I got this Achievement, the cars on the list were few and far between. But now that I have the Achievement (a few hours ago), most of the cars on the list spawn like grains of sand on the beach. I was leaving Joe's place on a mission, and four Lassiter Series 75 Hollywoods spawned two at a time, parked right across the street from Joe's apartment. After I parked all four of those in the garage, another Lassiter Series 75 Hollywood drove by, so I carjacked it. And then after that, a Berekley Kingfisher spawned across the street as well - so I got it too. And everywhere I drive around downtown and near the wharf, Lassiter Series 69s spawn up everywhere. You hardly see any of those cars before you win the Achievement, but after you get it . . . well let's just put it this way, after beating Chapter 9, I have over $30,000 in cash, and still have my garage maxed out with cars from Derek's list.
Low end cars only have two maybe three pins in the lock.
High end cars have four.
As the mission starts, you'll be asked to go to Joe's - disregard that and head to "The Maltese Falcon" - there you'll find a suitable car to sell.
Steal it, drive it to the docks and sell it by placing it on the lift as shown in the other solutions- then return to The Maltese Falcon for another. The suitable car will continue to spawn in front of the restaurant upon your return. Rinse and repeat.
*Note: You'll also know that you're stealing a car that's valuable enough because the lock-picking will consist of many more pins than the average car. Most average cars will have only 2 or 3.
(You sell him the greaser car in chapter 8 automatically.)

Near the end of Chapter 8, you will unlock the ability to sell cars to Derek at the docks and for a lot more money than what Mike's Wrecking will net you. Remember that Derek only wants high end cars. Any car that has a lock with four or five tumblers will usually do. To sell the cars, you'll find a cargo lift on the pier just to the South East of Derek's office door, next to the ship the cars will be be loaded onto. Drive five suitable vehicles onto the cargo lift at the docks, and the trophy is yours. Note: that you will not be able to sell to Derek in Chapter 14 & 15 so plan accordingly.
Cars that Derek will buy include (but not limited to):
Ascot Bailey
Berkley Kingfisher
ISW 508
Jefferson Provincial
Lassiter Series 69
Lassiter Series 75 Hollywood
Shubert Frigate
Smith 34 Hot Rod
Walker Rocket
A good location to find high end cars regularly is the small parking lot just east of the park, shown in the map below:
