You can only hold 999 Green Soulbeads at a time so this is cumulative and you’re free to spend them along the way. You’ll want to smash everything to get 300 early on so you can buy the fire wand in The Rise, but after you do don’t farm this, you’ll get thousands more than you need by the end of the story and the spells with end game runes tend to smash a lot of stuff at once.
