How to unlock the Solo Scrapper achievement in Magic Duels - Definitive Guide
Update (August 23rd 2015): Just to keep a record of the average wins before this achievement pops up, use this thread so we can determine if session time/wins per day has any factor.
Highest possible bug: After research by others, the leaderboard tracking on the game hub does not add wins correctly. You will get additional wins recorded to your profile if you restart a duel and win on that play, so for the time being do not use the leaderboard as a means of tracking and either concede or take the loss. Thanks to Kamakazi59 and the community up to now for finding possible solutions.
This also applies to 500 wins.

So, this achievement is hit or miss. Even if you follow the leaderboard and see that you have 100 wins, this might not pop on the dot. I personally unlocked this at 115 wins with a custom deck, only ever using Wizard decks when a quest required it.
As a precaution, I'm going to advise that anytime you get a win, but also see the "Not connected to server" message, that this doesn't count as a win towards your actual total but may be tracked as such by the Xbox game hub leaderboard.
Additionally, it's also more beneficial (to you) in only getting wins while you can still earn coins from your daily cap. I know some players will want to get this done quickly, but limiting yourself this way will help make the grind less tedious. 27 wins against Hard AI should be enough to hit the daily cap.
This is speculation which is now plausible, rather than a troubleshooting guide. All that can be done is to figure out what issues could be leaving many on grinding more wins that necessary, if not just leaderboard errors.
As always, this issue needs to be fixed in the future along with many other bugs, so go ahead and nudge Stainless with an e-mail telling them that their awful programming and lazy design needs to be readdressed.

Thanks for the info. I'm at 101 wins now according to TA but no achievement. It would be nice to figure out what the issue is.

If custom decks don't count towards wins, I'm screwed. About 90% of my wins were from custom decks.
