How to unlock the Truth Seeker achievement in Magic Duels - Definitive Guide

Most easily done in a solo duel on easy.

1) Acquire Jace, Vryn's Prodigy from an Origins booster pack.

2) Get him onto the battlefield and transform him into Jace, Telepath Unbound.

3) Use his +1 ability to build his devotion to 6.

4) Use his -3 ability twice (on two turns) to cast an instant or sorcery in your graveyard.

Note that casting an instant/sorcery from your graveyard removes it from the game so you'll need two different spell cards there. Also be sure to have mana available to cast each spell.

5) Enjoy your 20 gamerscore.

Not sure why you say he 'must have' 1 point left if you then ask someone to confirm?
In any case, I can say this is not required. However one needs to be sure there is enough mana to launch the second instant or sorcery, as there won't be another chance if Jace died for it.

I had read elsewhere that he had to have one left on his loyalty counter in order to get this achievement, so that's how I did it. But then when I got the achievement with the green planeswalker, I did so with her going down to zero and that achievement still popped. So I don't know for sure what the case is for Jace. And since I already have this achievement, I can't test it myself.

First, cast "Jace, Vryn’s Prodigy". After that, transform him into "Jace, Telepath Unbound" (by tapping him when you have at least 5 cards on your graveyard). You need at least 4 turns after casting him to get this achievement, two turns using his first ability (+1 loyalty counter each) to get him to a total of 7 loyalty counters (he starts at 5) and two more turns using his second abilty that cost -3 loyalty counters to play a Sorcery/Instant card from your graveyard.

You need to have a Sorcery/Instant card in your graveyard to use it and he has to be alive when you cast the second spell to get the achievement.

Best way to do this is on a Versus match against the AI in easy difficulty.

Note: First, you need to unlock Jace by buying booster packs.
