How to unlock the Last One Standing achievement in Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers - Definitive Guide

The non boosting method: i did it creating a xbox live ranked match for 3 players(the reason ranked is better is because its less likely your opponents will be teamed up), i did it with the white deck but pretty much any deck you feel comfortable with should do the job.
all you have to do is win one match and the achievement is yours.

The Boosting Method: just have everyone accept their starting hand, and everyone but the person looking for the achievement must quit out. as stated in the comments this works better with 3 players

this can be done in both ranked and unranked(player matches) lobbies

I personally don't like 3-4 player matches, because everysingle time, my opponents are teamed up in a party. And it's so freaking obvious most of the times.
So, what I am gonna try tonight as soon as I get home is enter a 3-4 player game with the white-blue deck (the one that specializes in leaving you without cards while using walls to defend). I think this deck has good chances even if the others are teamed up. And most people are playing with the vampire deck now, so I think it will work fine. I'll let you know tomorrow.

If your opponents quit on you - do you lose the achievement? I know that was a pain when trying to get the 10 online wins in the past.

I haven't gotten this achievement yet. But one of my favorite and most annoying strategies when playing in 4 player is to attack the person who's hosting the game. If you can go all out on the host and make him quit, Everyone wins! Except for the host. Now, this can get people pissed off at you, so make sure you don't do it to the same person twice.

Do you know if the match has to be ranked?

It does not have to be ranked. I just got it in an unranked match.

so if your gonna boost this only do 3 player match, we cant get it to work with 4 people, but it worked with 3 lol. as soon as the match loaded with just 3 people we accepted the hand and then quit out.

You can't play with the vampire deck, as it is not one of the unlockable decks on this expansion. This expansion gives you a GW, a mono R, and Nicol Bolas' RBU deck. So don't worry about seeing the vampire deck in live matches.

Whenever I go to play a game online, it tells me that I need bonus content to play. But I've downloaded both expansions (full and MP only) and still the same message. Just curious as to whether anyone else had this problem and if there is a known solution for it?

It's trivial with boosting partners.

To win it against random opponents, as I did, your best bet is to play the metagame: try to look as harmless as possible while collecting valuable cards in your hand. Put out some defensive creatures so you don't look like an easy target and try to get them to fight each other.

The mono-white deck (Wings of Light) is a good choice, especially if you've unlocked Mass Calcify. Build up your creature defense with Glorious Anthems, wait for them to beat each other up as much as possible, then play Mass Calcify and win.

If your opponents are ganging up on you, which is pretty common, focus all fire on the weaker opponent. If he's not willing to sacrifice himself for his buddy, you may get them to fight each other. Encourage him when he attacks the other player by helping. If he only attacks you, take him down with you.

Here's a link to a strategy guide for this deck.
