The Spellslinger achievement is a viral achievement. It is earned by defeating another player who has already unlocked it. It is spreading fast, so it should be unlocked quickly in a night of online matches.

When you enter a game lobby, you can tell which players have the achievement already by the small picture next to their name. If they don't have the picture, they don't have the achievement and you'll want to look elsewhere to unlock it.

Simply beat the player in the match and the achievement is yours. If you have trouble finding anyone, send me a message over here and I will arrange a time to play a game with you. There are also many other players, including other solution writers here, that would happily give you the achievement.

Seems like the biggest challenge for this is to actually be able to win.

Very true. Magic is a complicated game, but so many people have this achievement that you should be able to beat one of them. There is also the option of asking them to help you earn it by giving you a win and playing again.

The achievement was held by developers when the game was first released. They played quite a lot in the first few weeks to spread the achievement around.

You can't get this by having your opponent quit out. You have to actually beat them.

That is true. You also don't get a win for your opponent quiting so it makes sense that you don't get an achievement for beating them when you didn't beat them.

This is a viral achievement - which has become increasingly difficult to obtain.
I'm happy to help anyone out with this so leave a response AND back it up with a private message.

SOLUTION:
I will boot up a custom 2 player game, once we have both loaded into the game, i will push start, select concede (quit) which counts as a win and you instantly get the acheivement.
Its that easy.
