The overall score for a level consists of the score you get during the level and the bonuses you get at the end for remaining balls and time.
For this achievement I would recommend level 6-6, although it can be done earlier on level 4-5. You should try to pair this with the achievement for finishing a level with 10 or more balls. At the end of the level, you get a bonus of 1000 points per remaining ball. So you can get 10,000+ just for having all the extra lives.
You can get a max of 5000 points for a time bonus. This is nice, but not enough to try to rush through the stage.
Focus on picking up any multiplier bricks (if available on the stage) and destroy as many bricks in a row as you can without losing a ball.
