I was able to get this on level 6-6. There is a multiball powerup in the stage. However, you will want to restart the level until the powerup is immediately available at the start of the level (so you can hit on your initial launch).
The level is congested enough with bricks that if you can immediately activate the powerup, the balls should bounce around for quite awhile before the edges become an issue. Just pay close attention when the balls get closer to the edge and use your paddles accordingly.
