How to unlock the Dodgy Geezer achievement in Maid of Sker - Definitive Guide

I recommend doing this on easy difficulty. I would play through the game at least once to familiarize yourself with the game before going for this. If you get hit just pause the game and dashboard. DO NOT RESTART FROM SAVE; if you do it will save your stats and you will have to start a new game.

ENEMIES CAN HIT YOU DURING LOADING SCREENS! So don't sprint past enemies and use a transition door to another area. I'm not sure if the game saves your stats during loading screens so it's best to make sure no one is alerted before entering new area.

Getting hit by the purple gas or by crows doesn't count as a hit. An actual human enemy has to run up and hit you.

Save your game every chance you get. Check your stats before saving to make sure Hits Received says 0. Take your time and crouch everywhere.

Near the beginning of the game you take unavoidable damage, make sure to heal first chance you get so you're max health so you make less noise.

Pick up every phonic modulator cartridge you can find and only use it if you absolutely have to. It's better to just pause and dashboard if you alert someone rather than waste a cartridge you may need on a difficult part. These are the parts in the game where I used my phonic modulator:

- After you first pick up the phonic modulator 2 enemies enter the room. I used it here and left room.

- After completing the objective to investigate sker point you are tasked with returning to the hotel. After opening the gate to the hotel the enemies will automatically be alerted and sprint at you. Use it here then enter the hotel. Just sprinting to the door without using the modulator will get you hit during the loading screen.

- On the 1st floor you have to get 4 missing crest pieces to open the gate near the model hotel with the train set going around it. After placing the pieces the gate will open and enemies will sprint at you. Use it here and run to the elevator.

- When dealing with the big guy (Abraham) on the 2nd floor I used 3 or 4 cartridges here since you can't stealth around him. After the 2nd floor you lose the phonic modulator so use however many you need to to get the bird key and make it to the attic.

Other than those above sections you should be able to crouch around undetected. As long as your stats show Hits Received: 0 at the end of the game the achievement will pop.

I was able to get Dodgy Geezer at the same time as Luddite. When you pick up the modulator angle right and hold your breath while the first enemy passes, sneak out. To exit the Graveyard, hit the gate switch for the second time (when it’ll make noise) when the closest enemies are as far as they can get from you, you’ll have time to get to the door without getting hit. Use that same strategy when putting in the last piece to call the elevator, wait until enemies are down the hall, they don’t teleport to you, you can get to the elevator before they run back down the hallway to you. Finally on the second floor you need to beat the big guy. He only takes two hits on Easy. I opened the door to the left of the switch and but not to the right, then looped through the dining room and back to the switch. I played on normal the first time so he seemed so slow on Easy. Not sure if getting hit by the weapon that hurts him counts as getting hit, check your Stats on the pause screen before saving. After you save and move, he’ll get up again, just head straight for the Bird Key door in the Northeast, walk mostly, sneak past the sole patrolling enemy. He’ll be behind you the whole way and is unlikely to spot you.

I’d done collectibles previously so ignored them and didn’t go for the extra two music sheets.

This is a really great, in depth and specific solution. I'm def giving it a thumbs up as soon as I start the game. Will undoubtedly come back to this solution once I'm playing it. I assume you'll get a ton of +1 coming up soon with this game going GWG next month.

Thanks! +1

Thanks GRAND NOBLE. I got this game day one and really enjoyed it. I love stealthy horror games. It's not a hard completion at all. It just requires around 4 playthroughs or so. Once you play through the game the first time the other playthroughs should only take like an hour.

I assume this is the only disabled Achievement on Safe Mode?

The Nerds Club im not sure. Safe Mode was added to the game after I already finished it. Without saving more than once and without using phonic modulator id assume are also disabled.

Well, it kinda didn't work for me. Got my first hit at the maze, so triple-checked the stats before saving (Hits: 0), got hit again later (same location, so no loading screens, cutscenes etc.), dashboarded at the very same second, reloaded, and yeah - Hits: 1.
So I guess you shouldn't 100% rely on stats. And if you even suspect that you've been hit, just dashboard and reload immediately.

With the dsahboard exit method, I think its not hard, but definetly one of the hardest achievement in this game.

I had already unlocked it but I managed to not get hit again when doing 'Life Saver' because it was my 4th time through.

One thing I noticed during my Life Saver run is if you run into Abraham when he is incapacitated it counts as a hit. I already had Dodgy Geezer from a previous run but it's better to be careful when you grab the key from him just in case you take a hit.

Another easy way as well for DODGY GEEZER ACHIEVEMENT is the REVERT TO LAST SAVE METHOD TRICK. Only REVERT TO LAST SAVE before u are about to be hit completely. I have did REVERT TO LAST SAVE a few times in the Game on the Second Floor and near the end of the game as well, And it does work!! It will not work if u get hit and Reload your last save. U will have to Start a Brand new Game and start from the very beginning. I also recommend saving up your PHONIC MODULATOR CHARGES for the Second Floor when your running away from Abraham to reach the Attic. When u do REVERT TO LAST SAVE on the second floor sometimes. U must still watch out for Abraham, U will hear his big Footsteps when he gets close to u. He will not be stun with the PHONIC MODULATOR that much. He will always follow u on the floor when he spots u! If u get grabbed by him, It's GAME OVER!! So keep that Charged Up when u feel like your in Danger at all times if their to many men. This is Recommended for NORMAL MODE and HARD MODE PLAYTHROUGHS!!

Here is a COMPLETED WALKTHROUGH of MAID OF SKER from my YouTube Channel. Showing U how I actually did the Whole Game playing on NORMAL MODE! without getting Hit at all once! In the whole game. Hope my Walkthrough will help u guys out with this Achievement. Just remember to REVERT TO LAST SAVE before your about to be hit by the men.

For anyone who has PSplus or at least a flash drive for PS4, I advise you to periodically dump your save there to be on the safe side. If you get hit, rolling back to the checkpoint will not help, the statistics are saved. The game is stifling at the end, it will be a shame to start all over again.
