How to unlock the A Virtue achievement in Major League Baseball 2K11 - Definitive Guide
So this way here is almost foolproof :
When an at-bat starts go to the slider menu and put cpu strike zone to 0% and pitch accuracy to 100. This way, the cpu will throw 3 100% balls . Then just when ball 3 is caught, hit start and go change the sliders to 100 % strike zone and 100 % accuracy. If you find slower pitches helpful, go put pitch speed down aswell, this should give you lots of time to put left stick to either left or right and strike the balls with a defensive swing ( right stick : left or right)
This way i fouled off 7 in a row in my very first try and the achievement popped right away ingame.

The key to this one is fouling the ball. A 3-0 count is a good start would be ideal.
Use a defensive swing, and angle it hard left or right. You should get easy fouls this way.
If you don't have 2 strikes, and the batter's eye is telling you that it's going to be a strike, then let it be a strike. When I tried to foul it, it usually became in infield grounder.
Not obtainable in My Player mode.
Update: It should pop up after the tenth pitch during the at-bat.
And you Can't save & reload the game and get the achievement.

When did it pop for you? As soon as you faced your tenth pitch or at the end of the game? Because I just faced 11 pitches in franchise mode and it hasn't popped yet. Hopefully it will be at the end of the game.

It popped for me immediately after the 10th pitch. It doesn't work If you've saved & reloaded the game.

What I did, I just swung and missed on purpose to get to an 0 - 2 count. then i fouled off all the strikes and watched the balls go by, after i got the 10 pitch at bat i also waited and walked, which unlocked the other 2 achievements. (walk on a full count) and (battle back down 0 - 2).
*Note* Use a big league player who has a great eye so you can see where most of the pitches land. (I used Ortiz from Boston, but maybe creating a player would be easier)
Enjoy :)
